i’m gonna hold your hand with a glove on when i say this
when disabled/chronically ill people tell you they can’t do something, then that is not your cue to tell them that they can actually or that they’ll always find an excuse if they’re looking for one.
when a disabled/chronically ill person says they can’t do something, sometimes that doesn’t mean it’s outside the realm of possibility, sometimes it means if they (attempted to) do that, they will seriously hurt themselves.
when a disabled/chronically ill person says they can’t do something, sometimes it’s preventative care, and they refuse to do that thing to prevent a flare up from happening/their symptoms getting worse in the first place.
disabled/chronically ill people are not “looking for excuses”, they are giving you reasons why. something they don’t even have to do! so maybe just accept the reasons they give you.

This is like, the pipe organ of bonking your siblings with the empty wrapping paper tube 😍
[Video description: a TikTok from @snubbyj showing a person playing “Mamma Mia” by ABBA on the RimbaTubes, an instrument made out of PVC pipes. The person uses paddles to whack the tops of the tubes and looks very happy. /end description.]
1970s/80s fantasy black light posters. The artists are mostly uncredited, but the Red Sonia one is by John Byrne, and it looks like George Goode did the last two.
Does anyone have any more posters to add?
Transandrophobia as a theory does not and has never implied
1) We are treated worse than trans women
2) All, a majority of, or even most of our problems are caused by trans women
It has only ever meant that we have a different, intersectional struggle influenced by both our transness and our masculinity. Not that men are the real victims, or that women actually have it better, but that there are ways in which our transmasculine bodies and identities are politicized in ways affected by anti-masculine sentiments. About men being gross, and violent, and uncontrollable monsters.
Our goal of self determination and liberation is in absolutely no way analagous to women-hating gamergate style MRAs. Cut the oppositional shit out and stop mapping cis gender dynamics onto trans people 1:1
When you say “Transandrobro cunts are just TMRAS. Don’t listen to them about their own experiences, listen to me, who knows that women (general) are the most victimized people on earth,” you sound like literal TERFS who insist, “Tranny fags are just TRAS. Don’t listen to them about their own experiences, listen to me, who knows that women (cis) are the most victimized people on earth.”
We just want to live as ourselves and be respected for our identities, not put down for them. You know, like any other type of trans person.

I posted a silly sketch of this guy almost a year ago. My obsession with him has not waned since. Truly, I am a sucker for a grumpy man with a tragic backstory.
Here with his one true love - books - properly supported to avoid damaging the spine (many thanks to the librarians who suggested a book cradle!). Also yes, he's blond and not actually old (was going for just-been-through-absolute-hell look in that previous sketch and might've overdone it).
He's part of a cRPG project I've been working on. The setting is historically-grounded low fantasy, largely inspired by 17th century south/eastern Europe.
Looking for love

are they a disability activist or do they just care about disabled people?

A very special commission for @euphorbic of their precious smol resin child, Skuld, wearing traditional Yucateca dress. I love Skuld so so much and I was so excited to draw this.

We're at the "JK Rowling is personally funding litigation to try and destroy AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL" stage of rabid UK terf brain.
Screenshot via Alejandra Caraballo @esqueer.net on bluesky
Tldr Amnesty International, global human rights organisation, published a report called 'A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK'. In it is detailed, amongst others, a whole bunch of transphobic groups and organisations, including Beira's Place, JK Rowling's trans exclusionary sexual violence support service. JK Rowling threw a shit fit and got Amnesty to take the report down by threatening libel. This was obviously not enough, because you can't appease a fascist, so now she's going to bankroll a bunch of lawsuits anyway through the JK Rowling Women's Fund.*
You can read an archived version of the report here, please save it and share it.
*Not so friendly reminder there is no way to engage in the wizard books without enabling this shit.
