That one isn't too bad. I can't find any pictures of the ones that I made. They must have been on another account before I came over to this one. But I did have, oh man, I think I made like a hundred of them? All various lengths. Some of them were only like a hundred caps. Others were like six and a half feet long. The one I made for my sister was that long. But the problem was, is like with the winds at her place, it was way too loud. It's just constant, you know, banging against the caps. So, that's kind of funny, but. Yeah, I miss making them.
Where did you get your caps?
I lucked out about 15 years ago. I was working with a guy who was working at a brewery, and they swapped over to a new design for their beer. And he was just gonna toss out, like, boxes of caps, and I, you know, I actually convinced him to give them to me. And then I also bought, like, another couple boxes from the brewery. So at one point I had over 20,000 caps, but they were all the same. And then when I started doing Cazador Caravan stuff when I was living with my parents and doing my Etsy shop and everything, I did trade work with people where they would send me a bunch of bottle caps and I would send them a knife or I'd send them something. And so I've got them from all over the world, Japan, Austria, Russia, and Canada, and Mexico and everything. And then I would also just go into bars and pay them for like a bunch of caps. And so currently I think I've only got around 14,000, maybe a little less. But it's just been years and years of doing it. And I've also made stuff with like, I would say around 10,000 caps worth of things, like bottle cap snakes and wind chimes and armor and a whole mess of other stuff. I can't even remember right now, I've done so many bottle cap things. So, yeah, it's, you can also get them on eBay too. And then I always, when I'm out and about, I'm looking for bottle caps. And so I'll pick them up. Sometimes you can find like a parking lot where people are sitting and drink a bunch of beer and there's 20, 30 caps there, and sometimes it's only one or two in the desert. So, I'm always picking them up. I'm always saving them, much to my family's lament because every time they get in my car, it's all full of bottle caps. But my niece and nephew too, every time they get some, they always give me the caps, so it's fun. And I've got tons, a bunch of people trained at work too. Anytime they get bottle caps, they bring them in.
