When I saw Laslow asking you to tea, I must admit, I was a bit flustered, but I swear I never once spoke with him in an attempt to intimidate him. To be honest, I am not quite sure why he backed out so suddenly, but perhaps it was seeing the… depth of affection I have for you, Charlotte. I… care for you very much.

However, I will still admit it was childish of me to react the way I did, and I encourage you to accept Laslow’s invitation to tea if you so desire. And if our time together in the arbor is not to your liking, I will understand and respect your feelings.

I... greatly appreciate all the kindness and attention you’ve been giving me, truly. It feels as if straight out of a romance novel, a dream...! Especially with the crowned prince? I am a very, very lucky girl. You’re the formidable yet kind leader I’ve heard so much about. I could never be disappointed with someone like you. You’re incredible, Lord Ryoma.

I do have a question though. Were you the one who rid Laslow from our date with intimidation of some sort. He... said something about “territory”. I understand you’re a very busy person with being next in line for being Hoshido’s king but... I am no object to be won but I am my own person, not land to be conquered, a fair lady. I understand we all do have jealous spats and lose our cools and -- forgive me if I’m wrongly accusing you of this! I know it wouldn’t be your intentions of conveying yourself so and all is forgiven!

I do still want to see the cherry blossoms with you, it would be a honor especially being invited by you. I want to get to know you a bit more and I think the Royal Gardens would be a nice place with some alone time I assumed. I am quite excited!
