So earlier I made a post about Rah-veeâs comment under Jiâs insta post being interesting, and now Iâm ready to elaborate on what I meant! (Sorry for taking so longđ)
1. This post is solely based off of my own intuition/interpretation of the comment and the context of the post, in no way am I implying that the way I interpreted it is the truth. Itâs all just speculation. (And possibly me reading too deeply into it but you know..it be like that sometimes lol)
2. Iâm in a good mood for the first time in a long time, so for the antis if you try me even the slightest bit Iâll be blocking without warning.đ€·đŸââïž
So here is the post Iâll be referring to:
This photo appears as the third of four total uploaded photos in one post. The first two were of ji viewing art of a battered American flag and the last two were similar to the one pictured above. This interpretation will be done based on the lst two photos.
Before I continue, it should be noted that a great deal of why I find rah-veeâs comment to be interesting is due to this post which explains the art piece that Ji is viewing above. Please read it if you havenât already before continuing on with this post, as I feel it will give more insight as to why Iâm curious about rah-veeâs comment.
Continuing on, here is the comment made by rah/vee:
(Interestingly enough, cuddlekaisooâs response to his comment also seems to allude to the idea that it may have a hidden meaning to it đ)
So here is the rundown of how I came across all of this. After reading the post above that explained the piece of art that ji was viewing, I immediately headed over to his Instagram to check it out and look at the comments, in which rahveeâs comment was the very first one to appear an also seemed to have the most likes.
I cannot really say if ji knew the meaning behind the piece or who created it. One part of me feels like that is highly unlikely, but then I remember that ji is a very deep and intelligent person. And as a supporter of kaisoo, Iâve noticed that he and ks seem to have done several things to hint at their sexuality that would usually go completely unnoticed had there not been people looking deeper into it (take the flower that is worn by ks during the press conference for âThe Warâ album, for example). So itâs quite possible he could know the history of it after all. However, after coming across rahveeâs comment, the first involuntary thought that instantly entered my mind was âomg does rahvee know what it means too?!đ§)
So at this point you might be thinking âHow did you come to this conclusion from such a vague comment?â Yes indeed, the upside down smiley face emoji is quite ambiguous. A lot of people that use it do so to their own interpretation of what they feel it means, but what exactly was the meaning of the emoji intended to be?
I was curious and decided to research it, and found this:
Sarcasm, irony, passive aggression, frustrated resignation and most commonly sillinessâthese are the possible meanings of the emoji depending on the context.
So with this info I started thinking and applying this to what I saw. The context is ji looking at art by an artist known to depict homoerotic bdsm themed works (that he may or may not know about). Rahvee comments the vague upside down smiley emoji and nothing else.
The most common interpretation of the emoji is silliness, but that doesnât fit the context of the post. Ji is just casually looking at art and taking a picture of it, as a person would normally do.
Sarcasm, passive aggression and fustrated resignation also donât fitâagain he is simply just looking at art.
But the one interpretation of it that, to me, did seem to fit the context (if we go with the idea that ji dating a man and was aware of the artist whos work he was viewing) is irony.
Reason being is that firstly, I do believe that Ks and Jiâs inner circles are all aware of their relationship. Theyâve been together for a very long time so I donât feel like theyâre hiding it from anyone at this point. And secondly, imo even without knowing the history of the artist the particular piece that ji was looking at does seem a bit homoerotic (this could also be left up to interpertation, but I mean..thatâs just what I felt when I saw it.) Factor in all of this and the fact that Rahvee is a close friend of Jiâs and it left me to conclude this:
đđ translates to âOf course you would take a picture of something like this.â
Again I want to reiterate that of course this may not be the meaning behind it at all. His comment could have been in reference to the first two photos of the flag and not the last two. It could also simply just be me reaching/reading too deeply into things (being delulu, if you will đ) and not mean anything too deep at all, but essentially because itâs so vague this is what I meant when I said it was interesting lol đ
