arlo cornelius edwards was born in kent, england to two loving parents. a brother to two, right in the middle, and yet he never felt as if he were the stereotypical "middle child" - his parents placed a lot of love and time his way. he and his older brother have a very on and off relationship( cory and eric matthews vibes ), where as he and his younger sister are very close ( she gives me cher horowitz vibes ) . the edwards family moved to the us when he was In elementary school due to his mother gaining a promotion with her job. despite an international change, arlo acclimated to the states fairly quickly. being a very sociable and inquisitive child, he made friends quickly. at his parents request, he was actively involved in a plethora of clubs ad sports ( with hopes that this would aid him in being well rounded ). being such a naturally competitive and determined individual, arlo placed a lot of effort in learning new skills and training at home. often found spending hours at home teaching himself new techniques, arlo sought comfort in being able to make his own name outside of his older brother. throughout high school and college, arlo was a very dedicated student. although he's a bit reckless at times and loved to goof off, he always applied himself and strived to put his best foot forward. his mom did a lot of community work, and arlo seemed to trail along with her to help out, dragging along any friend that he could. he took an interest in sports at a young age, his mom and dad forcing their children to either play an instrument or sport. after fumbling through some instruments and various sports, arlo found hockey and that he very was quite good at it. he continued to play in a local league and into the early years of college in boston before he was drafted to the new york rangers as a defenseman. currently, there is an nhl lockout, therefore, arlo will be able to make it to winter house this year.
ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ
arlo is very charismatic and charming. depending on the situation he is placed in he can either be perceived as a natural born leader, or the type to sit back and observe. he enjoys getting to experience new activities and learn from other people. he is very competitive in nature, and enjoys being able to train at a more competitive level. he's a very orderly individual - the type whose unable to sleep if he knows there's a mess in his space. he's a bit more on the logical processing side, even when it outweighs his desires.
he is the type of friend that is honest and able to provide a touch of tough love when he feels that it's necessary. however, when he seems unappreciated or unheard/unseen he withdraws immediately and shuts down. he doesn't mind getting in a fight with others if he believes within his own moral compass that the outcome will be worth it. he's blunt with those he cares about and will tell you to your face if he thinks you're fucking up, and if you're throwing a punch he'll gladly lean into it. although this may seem a bit reckless on his behalf, he is the type to live in the moment and lives by his own ideals and moral compass. so when the time calls to be reckless and careless for the sake of a worthy or fun outcome, he's all in for it. however, he is extremely loyal and would and will do anything for the ones that he cares about - no matter what is being asked of him. he just wants to have a good time with the ones that mean the most to him and isn't afraid to repress the bad in order to ensure the happiness of others.
overall, arlo often lives in his own imaginary world unless he feels the need to play the role of the comedic relief / jester. he definitely craves romantic connection ( perhaps more the idea ) , but feels like he’s unable to really initiate or articulate that. lil edward scissorhands. however, he values platonic relationships over romantic and isn't the type to jump into anything that he can't imagine as long lasting or something that he is able to give his all to.

𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐬 : ( 0 /1 ) ok so, I envision it like these two didn't really socialize in person all that much and only really began forming a relationship via emails/letters that were initially sent to the other by accident, but the other person responded and they just didn't stop? these conversations could have gotten really personal but now that they are coming face to face with one another it's a bit difficult to start that conversation up. maybe they just continue leaving notes/letters throughout the house for one another to find.
𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛 : ( 0/ 4 ) . however they started it, they can't remember, but each month they rotate off who gets to choose a book. they hold facetime/zoom calls to discuss their readings and can get pretty into it.

𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐬 : ( 0 / ? ) these two both live in the same neighborhood ( whether it be intentional or not ) or at least nyc ( manhattan ) area and see one another throughout the city / events. we can determine how close they are / any activities they might see one another at or take up together !! a nice base plot! :)
𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 : ( 0 / 1 ) whether it's a more recent thing of the other crashing on his couch / spare room or they've been roommates for years - it was a no brainer that the two would pair off. overall, a good natured relationship and nights filled of hanging out in front of the tv and arlo cooking big meals for the two.
