Cosplay anon here: I got too in my head about it and chickened out 🙈 I realized “wait this is somebody else’s character, it cant be anything less than my best” so… idk. I think I need better quality red body paint because what I had wasn’t working out how I wanted
as a fellow perfectionist i FEEL that!! still very honoured that you were even thinking of it <3
i also imagine red body paint might stain so i hope you have not turned pink from testing it out lmao
We're here at the end!!!! Thank you so so much to @clonexocweek for running this event 💙!!
It's been so fun reading entries and finding new pairings to love 😍 I have a trove of posts to read and reblog this week and I can't wait!
For the final day of this event I decided to make a moodboard for the time period between Order 66 and when Sadhbh & Wolffe find each other again. This probably won't be covered by No Turning Back since the outline is long enough as it is but I have plans lol.
Thankfully they're not in the same place when the Order comes through. Sadhbh ends up on the run from the Empire hiding on Coruscant then travelling to the Mid Rim where she starts her work for the newly budding Hidden Path.
Wolffe stays with the Empire trying to look out for as many clones as possible. Inevitably he has to leave when he asks one too many questions, and as soon as he meets with Rex, Rex sends him to the Mid Rim....
I know I’m late to the party concerning No Strings Attached (friend recommended/sent it to me and I was HOOKED all the way through), but I had to ask: what would have happened if Wolffe had shown up at the pub crawl right when she got hurt?
oooohh this is a great question!! i've been coming back to this for a few days and here's what i would say:
obviously and very quickly rips the guy with the beer bottle away, then scruffs them both and pushes them up against the wall and just lays into them
saying that they're lucky no one called the cops (which is when it really sinks in for him what cherise just did), that they're both idiots, that they shouldn't drink at all -- just absolutely tearing them down
ends up throwing the guy with the beer bottle out of the bar and shoves the other back into his friend group (they end up leaving shortly after)
but through all his anger he realizes he actually hasn't checked in on cherise yet. his affection for her at the moment manifests as something he's familiar with, which is anger/being in charge. his brain connects "making sure she's safe" with "eliminate the danger"
when he DOES look around for her, another clone is already stopping the bleeding with his medkit (because some of these clones go to 79s in FULL ARMOUR and they're ridiculous... but convenient for moments like this lol)
poor clone guy is just trying to help when wolffe comes up to them and says "i'll take it from here." the other clone is quite genuine, like "it's okay i really don't mind--" "i said i'll take it from here."
which is hilarious because the cuts are deep enough that she needs stitches so he'll end up calling a medic over anyway once he realizes lol
then, because he has the residual anger at the situation still flowing through him, he picks a fight with her.
"I didn't think you were that stupid."
"Excuse me?"
"What were you thinking?"
"I was thinking that there was a fight in my bar and that needed to stop happening before it became an all-out brawl."
"And you thought they'd listen to you?"
"What else was I supposed to do?"
"Let them have it out. Or get someone else to intervene."
"That guy probably would've hurt them too."
"Better than you getting hurt."
She frowns at him, trying to figure out what he means by that. Wolffe knows it was his honest reaction -- he doesn't care if someone else got hurt, he only cares about her being safe -- but he also knows he needs to cover it up.
"It's a bar full of clones trained how to fight and with advanced healing. It wouldn't have been a big deal."
She accepts this and chastises herself internally for thinking it would be anything else. Wolffe is relieved that it worked, but covering his feelings up doesn't make them any less true.
and they might have a similar tender moment at the end of the night, but i think wolffe needs to go and process this revelation somewhere else. maybe he comes back the next day or something. in the actual fic, he would've preferred to process his feelings first, but the situation was different -- it was just the two of them in the office, he hadn't seen her in a while, and he wouldn't just bail on her like that, especially because he still feels guilty about causing her pain
so safe to say that it's still his "oh." moment, it just looks a little different!
thank you for the question!! i'm glad you liked it! still boggles my mind that some people are coming across it for the first time!
I’ve wanted to tell you for ages but I got so caught up in WMH I forgot but I need you to know that I would die for Daisy 🙏
then
djkfhskjf this man would also die (and almost did lol) for daisy. as we all should. she is precious!!! i'm biased bc she's partly based off what i think my niece might be like at that age lmao
I know it’s a country song which doesn’t really fit the vibe and the lyrics aren’t 100% but the song “Stay a Little Longer” by Brothers Osborne makes me think of No Strings Attached <3
^but imagine with a cowboy hat
YES the whole "tell myself i'm not in love" vibe fits them perfectly!! wolffe and cherise can have a little country music. as a treat.
Hey I hope I’m not bothering you but I’ve been working my way through “Walk Me Home” (which I love) and wanted to know if it’d be okay to cosplay Cherise ☺️ I’d probably just post pics here on tumblr, nothing else, but I wanted your opinion/input first
omg not a bother at all! that would be so cool! my one condition is PLEASE show me pictures!!!!!
someone cosplaying one of my characters has never even crossed my mind and i'm so honoured!! ❤️🩶
And as they went away with Luke letting Han’s hand trail out of his, I thought, “…as though millions of Han/Luke shipper voices suddenly cried out and were silenced.”
True story from ancient fandom corner: people did ship it, and that shit was stomped on harder than any slash has ever been stomped on. There were lawsuits. SW slash went WAY underground–even in the days when all slash was underground. There were ‘zines, but they were precious as carbuncles and basically if you had one or wrote in one you were like a fucking badass slash bandit.
most important part of the writing process actually is when you loop a single song on max volume and stare at the word document and imagine the characters doing things for 14 hours. this is known as getting in the zone
