Destroying Pandora

Kaito has finally found Pandora, but in order to destroy it, he must exchange one of the following

Magic: his talent, penchant, and dexterity for magic will be taken from him-- for the rest of his life, he will no longer be able to perform any of the magic that he had so loved.

Memories: no one will know or remember him, as Kuroba Kaito and/or as Kaitou Kid. Any evidence of his existence will have been erased. He will have to bear the pain of being forgotten and unknown-- even to his close friends and family. Perhaps, he will even begin to lose his sense of self.

Mortality: he will have five years to live--- but he won't remember that he ever chose this option. After this, he'll live life the way he wants to, without the burden of knowing his choice, until the day his time runs out.

Message to the DCMK fandom

In light of recent events (the revelation from movie 27), I would like to say to the fandom and most of all the non KaiShin shippers:

Don't harass or attack KaiShin shippers

Don't mock them

Don't make them feel bad

Don't push them to delete their KaiShin content/blog

Celebrate all you want, but don't brag to KaiShin lovers. For most of us, the revelation hits us bad. Don't rub salt in the wound.

And please, please don't harass them for still shipping KaiShin. Don't make them feel bad for still enjoying a ship that bring them joy still. This ship has over 30 years and, until the latest movie, we never suspected such revelation to be ever canon

Please be normal and let's keep peace and civility in the fandom.

most of the movies iirc aren't canon so kaishin being cousins MIGHT not be true. but if it is honestly i think most people will straight up ignore it (i mean, its been 3 decades... some of the people who have been shipping this for close to a decade are in their final years of high school or a freshman/sophomore in college.) though i do feel like a hypocrite being a little worried if new fanworks for them will take a nose dive, since i personally am not comfortable with any form of inc*st. 😮‍💨

You are right, movies in det con aren't canon, and they aren't regarded as such until something in the movie is shown in the manga too later on. So yea, not all movies are canon. But i've seen people say that this particular info of the kudo's and kuroba's will show up in the manga too. Not sure about that tho, guess it will be confirmed only when it actually shows up in the manga, however long that takes...

I think its kinda hard to say anything too soon about what will happen to the kaishin fandom. Will many people leave? Or will people simply ignore and stay, what will be the majority choice?

There could be a chain reaction, like, if people start leaving, most would follow the majority not really thinking things through, or the other way around.

The choice, the kaishin fandom would take regarding this is still very much hanging in the air cuz a lot of people are trying to stay away from the movie spoilers, so no one can really say for sure about how this is going to end.

But I do understand where you are coming from when you say ince*t, cuz I hate it too.

But, I have been a kaishin shipper for over 10 yrs at this point and it's kinda hard to suddenly stop shipping them after shipping them for so long... this is probably the first time I somehow ended up shipping an incest ship, even if we did not know it would really turn out so...

So I am totally going to ignore canon, I don't always do so, but this is a special case I suppose. They are supposed to be cousins? Nope, it's just a wild rumor a refuse to believe.

People keep making fanworks for them? Go for it. If this was Gosho's way to turn the kaishin fandom into shambles, to highlight his canon couple, we gotta show him we won't turn into what he wants us to. (because what other reason could there be for revealing this after almost 3 decades?)

(Plus it's common in Asia, especially around south Asia where cousins marry each other so there's that too, cousin marriages don't raise eyebrows over there)

But yeah, I do have conflicting feeling about this... because, cousins.

So in that sense, I suppose, people who decide to stay in the kaishin fandom and ignore canon (like me), and don't really like incest could be considered hypocrites. But oh well, Gosho can fuck off. (Also, these are fictional characters so.)

Let's see what happens to kaishin shippers.

A little AU I’ve been working on

(Based off of this MV, which I’m still obsessing over.)

This is an interpretation/AU of Jailbreak’s ending, made mainly so I can A) stop being so devastated by it and B) stick my own ocs in the Jailbreak world.

I’m not fully satisfied with the ‘after crash/rescue’ design, but it’s a start.

WORLD: A post apocalyptic version of Earth. The animals have been mutated into strange creatures, and the plant life has had… varying reactions to the fallout.

The place Kawasemi and Kuina are in is part of a stretch of grasslands. It’s a bit similar to the American Great Plains.

On another part of the continent is a highly toxic jungle.

A lot of inspiration from Miyazaki fantasy landscapes.

CIVILIZATION: The dome cities are each under the control of a tyrannical police force. There are multiple ones scattered around the landscape. The cities occasionally trade with each other for things like weaponry or metals.

Raw supplies from the “other place” arrive in guarded shipments. Civilians and most officers are not allowed to leave the city, but a certain few are assigned to ensure the shipments come and go smoothly.

MY OCS:

Skyler, 15 - a young scout for the scavenger group that rescued Kawasemi. She’s not very physically strong, but her endurance and agility make her useful for scouting areas. Skyler is serious, levelheaded and somewhat curious about the dome cities.

No one knows where she came from. She just showed up one day with almost no memories about herself.

Uses a blade as a weapon and has excellent eyesight.

Often the only braincell holder in the room.

Julian “Jet”, 16 - the grandson of the architect who built much of the dome city’s current infrastructure. Both his parents are dead of a “mechanical accident”. An aspiring mechanic who fixes and modifies the weapons of the police force, as well as designs new ones. He’s cheerful, brash, and makes friends easily.

Due to his orange hair, he somewhat resembles Kawasemi.

Jet isn’t actually loyal to the police. He just does his job because he likes being a mechanic.

He does not wear a blindfold because it’s generally a bad idea to fix delicate machinery blindfolded.

Young Kawasemi, who has spiky hair, stand in a field of flowers. “I remember standing in a field with little yellow flowers stretching on as far as the eye could see.” He looks with child-like wonder. “Not sure if it was a dream or not.” He bends down to look at a flower with a smile. “Nonetheless, back then, I had thought it was the most beautiful sight.” End ID.

Start ID. A breeze blows past Kawasemi, who’s got clear blue eyes and goggles around his neck. “But—“ He stands up and stretches. Then his grown-up self looks behind him, with a vest and an aviator hat and goggles. End ID.

Start ID. High angle of Kawasemi feeling tears on his slightly scratched cheeks, surprised. He’s in teal shadow. Around him are dandelion seeds. “the flight of its white seeds has proved me wrong”. End ID.

Start ID. Two kids run through a an orange field. “We were supposed to reunite under the same sky here” One kid, young Kawasemi, hesitates and then laughs. “yet ever since god knows when” Kawasemi and his friends Kuina hold hand as they both run in the field under a blue sky, Kuina’s eyes not visible. End ID.

Though these seeds must take flight, aren’t they still beautiful?
