Day 30 - Horror with an ending you didn't expect to happen?
Bodies Bodies Bodies was a fun 'whodunit' with a group of 20-somethings trying to find a potential killer among them after one of them turns up dead. Given the film is a satire I had a number of guesses as to what was really going on but even then the final reveal took me by surprise and had me laughing.

Day 29 - Most righteous killer (for good)
Dexter Morgan is probably the closest example for this in that he only goes after other serial killers. Even then, a lot of is it to fulfill his own needs and his actions have resulted in innocent people dying at various points.

I'm not entirely sure what qualifies as 'B-movie' and what doesn't nowadays but as far as low budget outside the studio system horror goes The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is probably my favorite.

I really want to see Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. As I write this it seems unlikely I will see it in theaters and will have to settle for the Netflix airing.

I really loved the opening credits to the Chucky series for both the music and the different imagery that would make up the title each time.

Carrie is one the definitive horror films of the 70s. I was fortunate enough to see it in theaters and I saw it as being far more sad than scary.

Day 22 - Worst recent horror movie you've seen
I don't remember much about Choose or Die but I recall it being a wholly mediocre film that I felt I wasted my time watching.

Day 21 - Best family in horror
I've always said Frontier(s) is the best Texas Chainsaw Massacre film that isn't a Texas Chainsaw Massacre film. The cannibal family in this one are such great characters that range from some who are almost tragic to others who you love to hate. I would have loved to see more films with them in it.

Day 20 - Most attractive horror movie killer
Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany Valentine from Bride of Chucky, maybe? She gives a very memorable performance at the very least, one that reinvigorated the franchise.

Day 19 - An actor you enjoyed to watch get murdered
I have to emphasize this -- I do not hate Sean Astin. By all accounts he's a genuinely nice guy. I have no issue with him as a person whatsoever.
But years back I really disliked Samwise from Lord of the Rings for how he treated Gollum. So when Astin played a villain in the film Borderland, watching him get killed was very cathartic to me. Astin gave a particularly memorable performance as well.
For what it's worth, this was a one time thing for me. When his character died in a certain famous show I did not feel the same way.

Day 17 - Favorite sequel to a horror
Mike Flanagan had his work cut out for him with Doctor Sleep. He had to adapt King's sequel to The Shining and make it sequel to Stanley Kubrick's film adaptation, two things that go together like oil and water. To his credit he made it work.

I thought Lisa Frankenstein was a fun horror/romantic comedy. It's surprisingly dark and grisly for a PG-13 film, too.

I originally had Leatherface here but I decided to give Freddy Krueger some attention. His glove is definitely up there as one of the most memorable weapons for a horror villain.
