To be perfectly honest? He told Nami. Like day one, he went "I'm interested in that freak," and Nami went "ew. How the fuck is he your type. Wait don't answer that."

Then everything with Jaques happened, and his interest went through the roof because this guy just took a chunk out of his shoulder with his teeth! And he refused to let Chopper heal it, which clued in the rest of the crew who know him a lil too well. Pretty sure Franky was the first one to tease him about it, and since he didn't lose a digit or two, that was basically confirmation.

Then! The whole fucking mess with Zeff!! Oh god, this isn't the kinda guy Zoro can just fuck and flake on!!! But for some reason his attraction didn't wane, which is usually what happens when he realizes he's crushing on a bitch with too much baggage. And that's when Luffy got clued in lmao, cause he was still paying attention to Sanji afterwards.

Tldr: his crew knows him too well. It didn't take long at all for them to figure out he's got the hots for Sanji, and trust that they will hold this over his head forever!
