I cant ever get enough of Megatron gaining a bit of respect in OP due to his skills (in combat, as a diplomat, even leadership even tho he prefers a more brutal method, he cant deny Oppy is effective in his ways) and connecting the dots on how it's very odd for such a skilled autobot to be just a repair bot. Then he finds out OP, despite being possibly the best cadet the academy has had in millennia, got kicked out for something that wasnt his fault and it's like "You are telling me the same council that had no qualms in throwing weapons of mass destruction at me and my people suddenly couldnt turn a blind eye to a shining Magnus prospect making a mistake????"

Best part is that it isnt too far fetched when you consider canon. Blackarachnia was taken in by the cons regardless of her techno-organic nature and previous autobot status just cuz she had some skills that could be useful and hatred towards the autobots. Optimus already got plenty of the first half, give him enough reasons to dislike the autobot rule (project Safeguard, the Omega Sentinels, enough 1rst hand accounts from Ratchet about the war, the widespread xenophobia towards organics, the dismisal of him and his friends because "they dont fit") and you can easily have him go from "the system is broken and that's why it must be dismantled" to "the system is working exactly as intended and that's why it must be taken down". (Even the hc about decepticons being warframes discriminated against by the autobots isnt too far fetched if you go down the protectobot and destrons rabbit hole)

Her Lore:

She is Orion Pax's mentor/mother. She was a miner's archivist whose dream was to be promoted a higher rank so that her and Orion could live a better life. One day she was told she would be getting a promotion after informing Sentinel Prime with information she found on how to how find the Matrix of Leadership, only to find herself getting smelted because they couldn't risk her finding out about their secret. They claimed her death was a "work accident" to the public as a cover up to avoid suspicions. Her passing ended up being one of the main reasons why Orion tries to help other miners since no one outside of their coworkers care about them dying.
