Hey babe! I know you are a Rhaena lover (I am as well) and also a morning lover so yeah! I found a fic recently, team black but the main ship is Rhaemond (Rhaena+Aemond) centered around our babygirl trying to stop the dance as a dreamer, so I thought it would be nice to tell you about it! I don't think Morning will be her dragon in this fic (the author hasn't spoken about dragons a lot yet) but I might be wrong so just warning ya! Daemon will theoretically get better as well but there's also no sign of it, it's in the very early stages (1 chap) but maybe you should give it a try, I liked it!

Jarring to see the Rhaena tag being filled with people who have never previously posted about Rhaena before? So how did she go from the boring girl everyone claims she was just a weeks ago to someone they want to see on screen all the time but only if it’s with Daemon. Pretend Rhaena support just from fandom who don’t like Nettles. Well from an actual Rhaena stan I don’t want Rhaena and Nettles erased from the story. I want them both. Women of color are not interchangeable and deserve their own plots. Female characters should not be reduced to how they interact with male characters.

Cutting out the only canonical black character out of the show after race bending an entire house to be black and giving the characters minimal scenes with very little development, is racist.

Also, Nettles and Rhaena are not even comparable in terms of their respective narratives- Rhaena’s hatching of the dragon morning after being insecure for years about being the only person in her family to *not* have a dragon is all irrelevant if she just suddenly claims a wild dragon and all of it is fixed. Likewise, Nettles being a lowborn girl who rides a wild dragon is not a story that could be easily fixed by giving it to noblewoman whose character does not tackle racism/misogynoir the way Nettles’ does.

Granted, all of what we know about this supposed storyline is based on leaks and has not been confirmed as yet, but it’s a pattern of HBO to exclude characters of color and queerness from ASOIAF, in order to make it palatable for viewers. To pretend that there isn’t any form of prejudice or bias when it comes to the inclusion of queer and bipoc characters is…odd.

Nettles deserves to be adapted from Fire & Blood. Phoebe Campbell deserves to play Rhaena of Pentos. They don’t deserved to be erased and changed to prevent Rhaenyra from being looking bad. It’s so not fair to them! Removing characters and not allowing women of color to be adapted to whitewash a white female character and make her the only character Daemon could care about is so wrong!

LMFAOOOOO drag them!!! I was under the impression he was in the writers room because I swear that’s what they announced to get people to watch the show? But he clearly doesn’t know what’s going on in the writers rooms for HOTD and apparently doesn’t even have control over some things for his books 🤨

Anywho he’s definitely talking about Nettles and Sheepstealer towards the end. Sheepstealer only went to the Vale because Nettles took him there and got a cave for him to live in. He didn’t go there on his own and just flew around freely (assuming those leaks are true and Sheepstealer is actually in the Vale) but really it applies to any dragon. He’s telling them to stop fucking up his canon but will they listen? But seems like he will just publicly take shots at them until they stop messing with his story. Love that for us 😂😂

There is an irony in Rhaena having an arc of feeling less than because of her situation and how passive she is compared to Baela, yet the writers will treat her exactly the same as she feels in universe. Throwing a dragon at her (Nettles’ dragon - their excuse to try to erase her) immediately after the war breaks out…..as if her character as a Targaryen is less than for not having a dragon and she just can’t exist without one. Instead of allowing Rhaena to find worth outside of riding a dragon, they’re more interested in trying to remove canon and contradict themselves.
