Honestly, I don’t compare Minoru to Light, he wasn’t even close to his level. And people say that Near couldn’t catch him, but caught Light. That is really because of that Light and Minoru were trying to achieve very different things.

But nevertheless, Minoru’s story was interesting in his own way.

What I really don’t like is the sudden invention of a new rule. They could’ve seriously found another reason to kill him. I honestly think it’s sloppy writing and it disappoints me.

Everyone dunking on my mans Light for being “less likable” than Minoru smh….. sorry that literally everything Light does is iconic and that’s true for 12 entire volumes of manga, Minoru is cool too but he could never pull off an evil laugh or a good ol’ pair of khaki slacks

HE SUCCEEDED. Whether the textbooks called him evil or not, he made history. That is nothing to sneeze at. Legend indeed.

Trying not be a downer here, but I think you might be missing a point? Minoru didn't kill people, yes, but he indirectly could've by giving it to people of power who clearly isn't gonna use it for peace. Also, he just wanted to be rich. The reason he gave 1B to other people was for camouflage. Anyway, what I'm saying is, Minoru is not an angel and what he did was wrong so that's why he dies. But he's practical and smart, for sure.

IMO what Minoru did was worst than what Light did. Light kept the notebook and killed criminals (and those who opposed him), but regardless, he knew what he was aiming for and would not use the notebook thoughtlessly. For him, his aim wasn’t wrong. It was the right thing to do.

Sure, Minoru didn’t use the notebook himself but he willingly sold it to people who definitely would not use it for the sake of world’s peace. They could be killing thoughtlessly, for their benefits, for amusements, and for God knows what. Minoru didn’t care at all because all he wanted was the shit tons of money. Even though he didn’t use it and killed anyone, I think his actions were far worse than Light’s.
