He listened and did not judge or even laugh he could only nod. Seeing as Severus was far away in his thoughts the entity was quiet for a little bit before he spoke. “I can’t say there is any right or wrong way for one to fall in love with a partner.” Dee said “That sounds to me like a lovely way to awaken to such a thing.” he gave Severus an understanding look. “When I first realized there was something, I did my level best to hide it, but the fact was I couldn’t recall why I had come to visit when she smiled at me, or how the touch of her hand when it brushed mine at the dinner table did things to me that no ones company had ever done.” he gave the faintest of movements with his head. “I have never been interested in things like pursuing the pleasures of the flesh, I am an entity, a being.” he was as open as Severus was since he was like family, new family to Dee. “I had not bothered with entanglements because my work for one, and the other, I am Death, and I will claim her one day from this existence to the next.” he gave an easy laugh. “There was just something about her that made my soul stand and take notice.” he explained “I can see the red ribbon for us as well, I have never told her. I doubt she would care, she is a very live in the moment, and love deeply sort of woman.”

No he figured that anything Severus did he did with all of him. If he hated someone it was with every fiber of his being and if he loved, it was deeply and with all he could give. It was why Dee thought that he and Lily made a good pair. They were both so invested in what they had. It was how Dee thought things should be. However, he would also attest to having the views that were far outdated and old fashioned.

He smiled down at the still image in the picture it was not a wizarding picture though he had those. This was simple a picture of his love leaned against a tree. She was looking at him through the sun and her face held that amused look but there was also love written on her features.“Sidhe woman take little crap from anyone.” he answered the thought that Severus had out loud. “She did not care that I was Death or that my touch might be cold, she did not care for the power, just the soul within which I find is rare.” he glanced up to Severus. “At one point someone bound me, it worked there are now safe guards in effect to see this is a thing that never occurs again.” he twitched his lips. “She risked her soul to set me free.”

At the talk of Tea Dee perked up immediately “I think a High Tea would be delightful all four of us. Or dinner, if you think you can talk Lily flower into making pumpkin mousse ?” he asked with a chuckle. He had a rather deep love for the woman’s cooking. It was how Spinner’s End often had him pop into the kitchen for meals. He always left something in return, because it was only right. If people were sleeping, or not home, he did not linger. “I should hope so, she is so very protective of you Severus, it is refreshing to see in this age.” he chuckled.

Dee watched as he moved to the bookshelf and he waited to see what the picture would show. He looked at the two young faces and it was not so long for Dee to see the person he had become and the woman Lily was from the two people in the portrait. He was touched by it for a moment and looked up with a small smile.

“I suppose things that are meant to be come back to us.” he stated as he chuckled fondly. “It seems she’s always been a bit of a imp.” he said nodding to the fact she was delighted in the mud and intent to share with a scrunched up child. “Your both quiet adorable, I must say Severus. I am pleased to have the comfort of your company, and the friendship we have formed as unusual as it might be its very heartfelt..”

To have the ability to see the strings of fate stretching over time and space to connect individuals seemed both terrifying and sentimental. Knowing that a great many people were likely in relationships with someone who was not meant for them as you passed through day by day held a troubling prospect. One would be painfully aware that a given being had settled or stayed with another for reasons which perhaps did not make sense to outside spectators. Then again, to look down and see for certain that you were bound to a person you loved would prove to be a remarkable validation of emotion. All the same. Immortal business was not his own.

“A soul is a heavy bargaining chip to risk for the sake of your significant other. You are… quite lucky, old bean.” Severus commented with a small smile. “Seems you’re already acutely aware of it, though.”

After Dee had finished reviewing the old picture, there was a moment of pause, and then he decided not to tuck it away again. It was left on the table as a reminder to frame it. There was no reason to hide away pictures of their childhood any longer. No Death Eaters breaking in to demand this and that, no snooping, grubby Wormtail fingers prying through his personal belongings. He could exist properly now.

“I highly doubt Lily would see it as an inconvenience to concoct a pumpkin mousse. She is always baking. Soothes her, you understand. Takes her mind off of unpleasant things. We cook together from time to time, though. I am… not quite as skilled. Suppose I never cared enough about myself to prepare more than the simplest meals when I was tasked to look after myself. I did prepare some espresso cupcakes for her as a surprise to show I could do it on my own not too long ago, and they were edible.” he scoffed. “It is ironic. I could brew the most difficult potions blind folded, but if you asked me to fix a creme brulee, you’d likely wind up with a basic pudding. I can only prepare something passable if I envision it as something I’ll later need to bottle.”

The red ribbon sometimes got tangled up but ultimately if you were suppose to be with someone you would be if fate had its way. Dee saw Severus's and Lily's very brightly. He gave Severus a simple nod "Yours is vibrant a very rich shade of red."he offered no more than that unless asked.

"I am constantly in a state of awareness and awe of it. Even when she and I have a bit of a squabble its not something that is going to end us." he said thoughtfully. "You also seem to be very lucky." he added not one to forget the whole of what both he and Lily had gone through to be together. "I am fortunate to know the both of you." he stated.

Dee was still fond of the picture he touched the little children in the photo. "You were both happy, I am pleased to see you happy again." as though he had the same thought "You ought to hang it up, I bet Lily would be happy with it." he glanced up "Lily hasn't changed to much at all." she struck him as that little impish innocent girl. She might have matured a bit more perhaps, but over all she seemed so pleased to be there these days.

"I would be ever so delighted to have pumpkin mousse." he stated. It made sense that Lily would bake as a means of soothing it was something familiar. He chuckled "Well, I nearly burned down Chicago the last attempt I had at it Severus." he was in good cheer even so. "Espresso Cupcakes you say ?" it piqued his interest as well. "I'd be interested in such a thing as well." he stated. "Did she like them ?" he couldn't imagine the little cupcake fiend disliking anything Severus fixed her but he had to ask.

"Speaking of potions, I may have some work for you." he said "If you are interested." he continued."Are you familiar with hinds blood ?"

"I am to understand that you might need help with building your home ?" he asked as he poked his head in the fridge. A habit when he was visiting a bad one at that. However, Dee was so very fond of Lily's cooking. "Is this so Severus ?"

Severus had by now become quite used to the idea that the entity would peruse his icebox at any given time. He usually left random foodstuffs in return on occasion, and oftentimes they would be items of a nature that would be difficult to come by in their part of the world. Even the skilled witches and wizards in various sweet shops and bakeries could hardly hold a candle to what Dee would find, he’d discovered. This probably came from eons spent seeking out junk foods delicacies from all corners of the globe.

“It’s not that I am incapable of doing it on my own…” Severus clarified. “Summer odd jobs in Cokeworth or breaks working the shipyard when I was too young to apprentice in wizarding professions served the purpose of educating me on sound structure. Ahem. But with Lily in the state she’s in, I want to be sure that there is less of an air of stress from overexertion around her. She seems heightened in senses of when days are overwhelming, and I do not wish to further worry her. I would appreciate a bit of help where I can take it, yes.”

There was no one anywhere who could match the entity for finding things he liked. Especially when it came to treats and junk-food. He was currently looking at Pork Loin though. He had brought a box of goodies which sat on the table. He had gotten them both a bunch of things from all over the world. Dee,glanced back over his shoulder motioning to the box."I was in France, there are some macaroons in there. Also some Swedish chocolate and a good amount of candies and cookies from Japan."

He came out with a plate of various things from the fridge and seated himself at the table. "Son, I did not think you were incapable." he stated "You likely know more about the subject than I." he confirmed. "I however can bend reality every once in a while to my whim." he explained. "I can use magic to aid you, or I can summon things that can help you build." he took a bite of food and relished it. "You have my aid what ever I can do for you." he informed him. "Sit, would you like tea. ?" Dee inquired and waved a hand over the table tea and cups appeared, they looked to be from his personal study.Severus would know having been in there for a time. "Is she holding up alright ?" he asked "I know that it can be difficult at times. If she is high sensitive...do you mean tears or that sound bothers her ?"

Merry Christmas Eve All

I I just wanted to take this moment to thank the people that have been the kindest to me in this last year and I look forward to the coming one. Sorry I haven’t been here much this last month my health took a turn and I have been battling chronic headaches, and I have had a head cold for a bit. Anyways enough about me..
