we talk a lot about the f/f ships that come out of claremont’s x-men and part of that is intentional queercoding, but part of it is just that claremont was very invested generally in building believable and specific dynamics between characters and that applies to female characters as well, so the relationships between women in x-comics are better than in most other comics of their time and even a lot of comics today
