"Evil…?" At this point he gave a hearty laugh. "Hooo boy, bein’ evil sounds like it might be mighty fun, but maybe I ought ta’ follow your advice. Sorry— no harm done, a’ight?" he chuckled.

"Eh, might as well do it sometime, right? Better sooner than later. Besides, I’m hopin’ on gettin’ as much information that ain’t obvious written down for future reference.”

"Ah hahaa fun? Maybe as an alternative to being in a situation like this sure." She shrugged, shaking her head at that apology. "No need, as ridiculous as it was it sparked part of our conversation didn't it?" She grinned a little, shrugging again.

"Yeah, you know what I can't really argue with that. Honestly I would love to find out some more information as well, on this whole thing anyways. You really think there will be anything that'll prove or help us with anything in that amusement park though? Or are you just using that as an excuse to ride the rides." She said, teasing just a bit, glad this conversation was nicely taking her mind off things.

Akiko glanced at the other girl, before moving into the hug, wrapping her arms as tightly around her as they could go without being forceful. She rested her head on Heather’s shoulder for a moment, then looked back up. “It’s… You’re right, I guess. It won’t help us if I mope about, right? We’re gonna get out. And we’re gonna be friends, and support each other. All of us! We can all be alright- and we’ll never, ever, ever forget our dead friends! It’s gonna be alright- well, as alright as it can be after all this! Heather-chan, we’re gonna be alright, aren’t we?!”

Pulling away from the hug, she caught the other girl’s hand in hers, with a smile that was half sadness and half hope. We drove so many of our friends to their deaths… Yet as she looked into the eyes of her friend, she knew she would not fall into despair. It was alright to be sad, it was alright to cry. But it was not alright to give up.

"C’mon, let’s go do somethin’! I see there’s a carousel, and, dolphins, and food- I’m gonna get cotton candy!"

Once again, she ran off, still holding Heather’s hand tightly. However, this time it wasn’t just to pull the girl along with her. It was for her own support.

Heather smiled nice and wide as she felt Akiko rest her head on her shoulder, holding her nice and closely in the embrace, comforting her as much as she could. As she looked back up at her, saying what she did, Heather nodded her head. "That's right we're definitely going to be alright. We can all definitely work to getting the hell out of here and getting things back to the way they used to be again. For everyone that's died, we'll keep it up just for them, I'm sure they wouldn't want anything less." She assured her, smiling as she would pull away from the hug.

She blushed a little as Akiko took her hand like that, putting that smile on her face. Heather returned her smile, nodding back to her and making sure she knew that she was completely serious.

"A-ah..y-yeah alright! That sounds good to me! I'd love to do that and take our minds off all this for a while!" She nodded her head, giggling a bit as Akiko would run off, holding her hand tightly. She returned the favor, keeping her hand in her's as she would run off with her, following where she went.

"Heather-chan…" 

Akiko’s first impulse was simply to blush, pulling her cape up to cover her streaky hair. It was embarrassing to have people know that her yellow-blonde hair was fake… Though not as embarrassing as it would be to let them know what else was as well. And, well, heck, this was Heather, and for some reason it was important to look her best in front of the wrestler. But then she remembered the gravity of the situation, and realised… Well, that it wasn’t really a big deal. Even if it had been, anyway, she trusted Heather.

"I’m… I’m okay. Tryin’ ta smile, y’know? But I dunno if that’ll work. I’ve never… Well, stuff like this has never… I’ve only ever seen one person properly bleed or anythin’ before this, I guess." Yeah, and you were the one who did it to them. Wincing, the cheery girl almost looked like she was about to cry for a second. The voices had started recently, and while she tried to ignore them, they were always there, reminding her. They were probably nothing to worry about, when she was with people they faded, but… Oh, god, when she was alone, they shrieked at her. You don’t deserve this title. You’re corrupt. Imagine if everybody knew how you got it.

"I’ve changed!" She cried out, clapping her hands to her ears, then looked up at the other girl and managed a grin. "Ah! Sorry, dunno what happened there. Thinkin’ out loud, as usual! But really, I’m fine. Thanks for carin’. You’re a good… That is, I mean… Uh… I trust ya, Heather-chan!"

Heather blinks a bit at what she was doing before shaking her head and smiling. "Hey relax! Trust me, alot of the girls I wrestle with dye their hair to look like some sort of pop idol or something." She said to her, shaking her head and just nudging her a bit, doing her best to keep the conversation as uplifting as she possibly could.

She bit her lip though, seeing the expression on the girl's face as it seemed she was battling something inside her like that. "I-I...ah..A-Akiko.." She wanted to do whatever it would take to get the girl back to how she used to be. That cheerful attitude from when they first came in seemed so distant right now and it was slightly painful.

At her words, she would just look at her before shaking her head at that grin. She threw her hands out, pushing up to her and wrapping her arms around her, going to get her into a warm hug. "We're gonna make it out of here somehow alright? I owe you for hanging out with me without really knowing me. So...cheer up. I know how horrible it's been but..just..cheer up."

"If that’s what ya’ wanna think, go ‘head. I ain’t here to limit ya’." Similarly, he supposed his own reference flew over her head. There had to have been a part of him that expected the other to make some sort of wrestling reference, but nevertheless attempted to dismiss and conceal any sign of surprise that existed.

"Hm? What? Do ya’ expect me to go an’ screech the typical canned laughter? Go kusukusu maybe? Ahahaha! Fufufufu…. Hew-hew…. Hyuk hyuk? Maybe my laugh ain’t supposed to reflect how I go ‘bout things? Feh, a triflin’ detail really…," he trailed off. 

"No seriously though— you not plannin’ on headin’ on in? I mean, the place is kinda just endless and bland without it. A real snoozefest if ya’ ask me." He peered into the inside of the so-called, "DespairWorld." He might have not wanted to admit it blatantly, but he sure as hell was at least a little curious on what lied beyond the walls.

"Really? Well good then. I wouldn't let you limit me either anyways really" She shrugged, not really knowing what to say in response before he would go on about how she insulted his laugher, keeping on about it.

"Honestly, there was no need for the laughter to begin with. It makes you sound like some crazy evil overlord or something. Creeps the hell out of me really." With her words though, she grinned at his going on about it, at least appreciating his humor a little bit.

"...What, were you planning on heading in?" She looked back to it as well, scanning what she could see before sighing out. "If I had someone join me then MAYBE I might feel like exploring it a bit."

Akiko had tied a black ribbon around her neck, one in her hair, and one on either wrist- mostly in memory of her poor dead friends, but also simply because she thought it looked pretty cool. The kind of thing the main character in a movie or video game would do- although Akiko had established early on that she would never be a protagonist. She was sidekick material, and she was fine with that… Unless it came to tightrope walking. Then she would not handle being worse than anyone. As her past would, unfortunately, prove.

Still, she was surprisingly low-spirited and quiet now, head bowed and hair (now streaked with black due to the lack of hair dye), falling over sorrowful blue eyes. It was not in her nature to be sad, but perhaps the events were finally taking their toll on her. Tiptoeing in her enormous stiletto heels, she surveyed the new area, then her blue eyes widened and she blew a strand of hair out of her face.

"Well, ain’t that somethin’ else." It took a lot of visible effort not to burst into a grin and rush towards it, but she had at least some respect for the dead, despite her lack of understanding for the feelings of anyone but herself. So she simply stared at it, mouth slightly ajar.

"Isn't it?" Heather was making her rounds as well after not really having been all too much active for quite the duration of their stay. She wanted to get back into everything and work together with people, but the one person she trusted more was standing in a place where she could see, causing Heather to walk up next to her.

"If only...the circumstances were different.." She let out a long sigh, though looking over at Akiko and forcing a smile on her face, it being a while since she's been able to really talk to the girl that was now standing here beside her.

"How..are you holding up? You've helped me get through this quite a bit, figure I'd return the favor if you're down."

Keeping a small notepad in his pocket, Cero had decided to do exactly what he’d done before: investigate the new area that had recently been opened up to them. While he may have been revealed at last, that did not mean he was going to just leave Finch to fend for himself. In fact, his top priority at the moment was to make sure to record adequate notes on the area for the engineer to read later when he was actually awake instead.

While initially spacious, the first thing that caught his eye might have been the gigantic wall. Just maybe.

Looking up at the towering border, his eyes traveled along the wall and inspected it to as far as his sight would allow. It was only a matter of time before he had been able to spot the wrestler.

Moving towards her with such agile mobility that had not been blatantly characteristic of the meek engineer, the thief left a near soundless trail. Once he had managed to be near her, he leaned forward slightly and cupped a hand around one side of his mouth.

"Then what’s stoppin’ ya’?" he whispered loudly. "Don’t tell me it’s because of a little murder frenzy.”

Relaxing and returning to a more neutral state, he continued, ”So joanie! Nice to see ya’ takin’ some initiation— can’t say I quite caught ya’ last time, y’know? I’d’ve expected a pro-wrestler to be all over the place and hollerin’, but that not your style or somethin’?

 ”Still, you keep up that talkin’ to yourself routine an’ I might have ta’ send Mister Blue-Hair after ya’! Wouldn’t that be a kicker? Gwah hee heheheh…”

As if Cero's sneaking skills weren't enough, Heather was completely engulfed in her own mind, staring on at the amusement park. The sight just kept trying to register in her head and as she heard that sudden loud whisper, the  jolt out of her thoughts startled her quite a bit.

"H-hah!?" She yelped out, turning to see who it was. Judging from the characteristics and look, she could tell it was the extra personality that had revealed itself in the most recent trial. She clicked her tongue at having being caught off guard like that, clearing her throat and recomposing herself.

"Joanie?" She tilts her head just a bit before she would grin and shake her head at his words. "You'd think that wouldn't you? I'm more the Jeff Hardy heel type than the hollering Hulk Hogan or Randy Savage type." She said, keeping that grin on her face, not really caring if the references went over his head or not.

"..Very funny. Forgive me for taking a little time to myself and taking it in." She shook her head, shrugging. "Big deal if I talk to myself, it's much better than hearing that disgusting laugh you just did."

Heather has spent most of the time in this city keeping to herself for the most part. She wanted to get close to others and maybe form some kind of team, but since people have started dying left and right she wasn't sure what was the best idea for her to do. She wandered into the new, open area, walking across the sand of the beach, heading over to the gate to DespairWorld past the train station, dressed in a black shirt, dark purple skirt, her striped stockings, and boots.

"..Just doesn't seem right." She shook her head as she looked in past the gate at the working rides, the sense of having fun or having a good time seeming like something that was foreign to her right now. It just seemed forced and out of place and she shook her head at the thought of going in there and enjoying herself.

Absent Things || Motive Two || OPEN

Akiko shivered, her bare shoulders freezing in the cool breeze. How the hell did he even get her cape? 

"What is this? D’ya think anyone’ll really kill over somethin’ as stupid as this? I miss my cape, but I wouldn’t kill one of my friends for it. I consider everybody here a friend, and killin’ ‘em over a piece of cloth would be idiotic."

However, her eyes widened when Susumu’s blanket was burned, and she shivered even more. Would that happen to her cape? It had a lot of memories, part of her performances, part of her signature look. She’d had it since she was five. And yet… Some of these objects were probably more important to people. She’d offer to make Susumu a new blanket, but it would probably seem tactless, as it wouldn’t be the same. Still, she’d try and find a way of cheering her up. That’s what friends do, right?

Turning to the person who stood next to her, she tried to smile. “I’ll just buy a coat from the store, or somethin’. I’m fine. But… Are ya alright? Would you… Like some candy?”

Would you like some candy?! You idiot, Akiko. Smile straining, she balanced on the heels of her shoes, the smell of burning blanket still lingering in the air.

Heather watched the blanket being burned, her eyes narrowing. She knew how having something dear to you being destroyed must feel and she knew Susumu might possibly have quite a bit attached to that blanket. She bit her lip a bit before she would hear Akiko's words, causing her to turn to her.

"Ah..ah heh y-yeah I'm alright." She would say, nodding her head. She thought of the personal item of her's that was taken away, something she would rather not discuss with anyone as she tried to calm herself down. She just hoped her's wasn't next.

"...wait candy? ahm...Wh-why not I guess"

Us and Them

A few days have passed since the trial and Heather had done quite a bit of thinking. She told Susumu she wanted to talk to her but hadn't approached her yet. Today was finally the day that she mustered up her thoughts and decided to pay the girl a visit.

She nodded, leaving her dorm room before heading straight to Susumu's. Taking a deep breath, she cleared her throat before she would knock on the door, standing outside and waiting patiently. "..Hope she's willing to hear me out.." She would say, partly thinking this wouldn't go well at all.

Susumu strolled up to her, a grin on her face. "Lost anything recently, Sunderland? Like, say, a handkerchief?"

”..huh?” Heather crossed her arms, tilting her head. “A handkerchief?..not that I remember”

“Aw, c’mon now! I could beat ya hoppin’ on one leg!” She called out, jokily, and then proceeded to attempt to hop all the way to the hotel. Obviously Heather overtook her, and she stuck out her tongue like a child, before laughing and running after her.

At the door of the hotel, she skidded to a halt, face a little pink but fully smiling. “Yeah, okay, ya beat me this time… But next time ya won’t be so lucky, Sunderland!” Pausing for a second to catch her breath, she suddenly took Heather’s hand once more and jogged into the building, letting out a pleased sigh at the comparative warmth.

As they walked along, Akiko began to chatter to the other girl, scanning the doors for her room number. “So, what’s wrestlin’ actually like? Travellin’ with the circus is amazin’, it’s so huge and loud and colourful and there are horses and everyone has a skill and ya all belong and-” She froze, faltering a little. “And I really miss it.”

Before the mood could sink completely though, she found the door and let go of Heather’s hand, before charging in and flopping down on her bed. “Welcome to my castle, m’lady. Please, make yourself at home here.” Giving a sort of mock bow, she shifted over so Heather could sit beside her on the bed.

Heather just grinned wide at those words, ending up catching up with and surpassing her in their little race before they got to the hotel. She laughed a little at her sticking out her tongue before she would hear her words.

"Oh yeah? That right? Well I can't wait for next time to just prove you wrong again." She would say, a proud look on her face before the girl took her hand again, causing that blush to return as they headed into the building.

"It's great. Being out there in front of all those people, hearing them chanting your name and supporting you as you're out there fighting for the belt or at least fighting to be number one...it really is great. I lovethe feeling. Especially when I get up on the top rope and leap off..the rush and the reactions are just priceless." She would say before hearing her talk about the circus, nodding with interest before she finished. "...We'll be back doing what we love soon, just watch."

Finally, they made it to Akiko's room, Heather watching as the girl opened the door and plopped down on her bed. "Welll thank you very much." She said, nodding before sitting beside her on the bed.

"I.. I wouldn’t kill anyone.. Not again.." Ren tried to even out his breathing. "They were pressuring me.. They said I they wouldn’t feed me for another week if I didn’t." He looked up at her. He usually wasn’t this trusting. But he couldn’t help it. He needed someone. And she was the only one there.

"You’re… Not going to hold it against me?" He looked surprised. "…Thank you." He wiped his eyes again. He wasn’t crying as much anymore. "Why would y-you be jealous?"

Heather nods her head at his words. "..Jesus.." She bit her lip. There was another side to every story it seemed and she had no reason not to believe him at the moment. Maybe she was being too trusting as well because of how interested she was.

"No." She simply said, nodding her head at his thanks before hearing his question. She looked away, hugging her arms to herself again. "......I'm jealous you have a past to be ashamed of. One that you remember. It's more than I could say for myself..I don't remember a single thing whatsoever past 4 years ago."

He looked up, sniffling. He was a mess. A big, blubbering mess. Ren wiped his eyes, taking her hand. It was the best he was going to get right now. He doubted anyone trusted him even a little bit anymore. He watched as Susumu avoided him. 

He stood up shakily. “I…” He tried to wipe away his tears again, but they just weren’t going away. “I fucked up so bad…” He felt so vulnerable, sobbing out in the open like this. He hated it. He hated being so weak. He wanted to dig himself a hole and never, ever come out.

She watched as he wiped his eyes and took her hand, seeing just how much of a mess he was as he continued to sob out. Heather was trying to find it in herself to feel bad, feeling just slightly at that for that being revealed to everyone, but she was keeping her guard up as well. If it weren't for her interest, she might not have approached him at all.

"..The past is the past right?..Something you can..learn from." She would let out, nodding her head. "...You seem sorry enough for what you did." She herself couldn't believe her own words, but she did think it was true. "...You SHOULD be learning from it anyways..right?..The past...I'm not holding it against you..having a past like that..I'm maybe even a bit jealous. Not of you killing someone, I don't mean that of course."

Ren’s heart raced. He collapsed onto his knees. He knew that people’s secrets were being revealed, but.. He never thought HIS would be. The memories of his older brothers came flashing back. Shut the fuck up you little brat! Shoot them! Don’t be so weak! If you don’t shoot the little bitch and the old man, you’re not eating for another week! He remembered the weeks without food especially. Sometimes they were just too poor to afford food that he would sometimes sneak into the closets and eat his brother’s dogs food. 

He held his head, starting to cry. “I… Fuck.” He mumbled something about not wanting to go back over and over. No one would ever trust him again, would they? Not even Susumu. Especially not Susumu. He wanted to forget his brothers so badly. So, so badly. He just wanted them out of his head. All the things they made him do when he was younger.. All the things they did to him. He stared at his hands, which were starting to shake.

With the second secret being revealed, it was definitely a startling one. Heather looked over at Ren, looking for an expression as he was down on his knees. She would hug her arms to herself, examining Ren a bit. She should be wary of him as seeing that he already DID murder someone, it, at least in Heather's eyes, would be easier for him to commit one than someone who's never done it before.

However, the aspect of such a heavy hitting past really interested Heather. She looked around a bit before approaching him, extending her hand to him, a blank look on her face as she was trying to think of herself what sort of emotion she should show here. "Here.." She let out, wanting to help him back up, her eyes narrowing a bit.

Akiko smiled into the hug, happy that even in a situation like this you could still form friendships. Travelling around from city to city with the circus, she’d never really had many long-lasting friends. And maybe this wasn’t the best place to seek them out, but Heather seemed very nice, so why not try?

"You’re welcome. Ta be honest, I was pretty worried too. But I fully trust that nobody here is selfish enough ta take someone’s life for one secret. They all seem too kind." Her voice was soft, but as she pulled away from the hug, it regained its normal overenthusiastic quality once more.

"Hey, shall we go somewhere that’s a little less depressin’? Like, the restaurant, or- well my room’s pretty cool, and it’s next ta yours! We could chill there!" Eyes crinkling up at the corners with a friendly smile, she gently tugged at Heather’s hand, before chuckling, and yelling. "I’ll race ya there!" And dashing towards the hotel.

Maybe if they acted like they didn’t have a care in the world, their worries would really go away.

Heather nodded her head at Akiko's words. She was going to do her best to believe them and make it so that was the only thought in her mind when it came to the whole situation. She had to lessen the impact of this all on herself and figure out how to get back to her normal life.

"A-ah...y-your room?" Heather blushed at those words as she would tug at her hand like that. "R...race? I--" Heather went to say before the girl started dashing towards the hotel. A grin appeared on Heather's face as she shook her head.

"Racing me? Big mistake!" Heather let out, dashing after her, trying to enjoy herself as much as she possibly could.

Scanning the crowd to see how everyone was coping, Akiko's eyes fell on the most familiar face, and she ran towards her with a concerned look.

"Hey, are ya alright?" Kind of a stupid question seeing as everybody here was trapped in a 'mutual killing' situation and therefore nobody was alright, but she asked it anyway, blowing a strand of yellow hair away from her face. Then she reached out and put a comforting hand on Heather's arm.

"Don't worry... I'm sure nobody will kill. I mean, my secret is pretty bad, but I wouldn't murder over it in a million years. I'd rather people hate me than I end up hatin' myself too!" Resisting the urge to hug her, she smiled gently.

"I'm sure everythin'll be fine... We all get along pretty well, right?"

Akiko wasn't at all sure that she believed this herself, but each time she had said it she convinced herself a little more.

"H-ha!?" Heather yelped out a bit as she heard someone address her. She looked up at the girl, a little defensively before she would feel her hand on her arm.

"A-ah.." She blinked before hearing her words. They really eased her nerves quite a bit and she was incredibly thankful for someone stepping over and calming her down. That gentle smile definitely warmed her as she would finally nod her head.

"Y-yeah...you're right.." she let out, nodding again. Though Akiko was resisting the urge to hug her, Heather just couldn't. She would smile wide and wrap her arms around the girl, hugging her tight.

"Th-thanks..I really mean it..for a second there I...I don't even know.."

I'm Not Paranoid (Open)

Hearing the 'motive' that was lined out to them, Heather couldn't help but gulp a bit. However it wasn't for the reason that would be expected. In her head she couldn't come up with a secret that she'd kill someone over it getting out. All her embarrassing moments were broadcasted live for anyone to see. What she was worried about was the other people.

She would bite her lip, hugging her arms to herself as she looked around at all the other people. Someone could actually have a deep dark secret that would ruin them if it got out or something. Everything just seemed so much more serious now.

"...Damn ...stupid bear.." She let out, backing up a bit, quite the worried and almost scared look on her face.
