[ i'm surprised it took me this long to make these tbh ]
Akiko frowned when Finch seemed upset. Had she done that? She never used to care about making people upset but now, here, she did. Her hazy blue eyes dulled a little, and she wobbled uneasily on her stilettos.
Still, when he accepted the candy her mood swung yet again. Mouth turning up into a wide, white grin, she nodded.
"Take âem! Donât bother thankinâ me, weâre friends, right? Besides, theyâre good at keepinâ me sane⊠AhaâŠ" Then her head snapped up. "Oh! Oh, gosh! Iâm sorry if I worried ya at all- these are safe, Monobear hasnât got to me yet! I would never hurt ya, Fantastic Finch-chan!"
To demonstrate that they were safe, she popped a few of the sweets in her mouth, managing a smile. Finch⊠He was her friend, and yet he seemed almost as unreal as the voices. Any of them could die at any time. Anyone could kill anyone. And while Akiko would usually leap up and say sheâd try and get everyone else. Her energy was mostly gone, and though she had tried to look for clues, she had ended up driving her fists into her aching temples as the voice of the person who made her feel most guilty echoed in her mind.
Akikoâs smile trembled, but she held the candy with a steady hand. She had to stay strong for Finch. They couldnât let each other down.
The thought of her poisoning him hadn't even crossed his mind. His eyes widened at the thought of it, but his pale face grinned when she too smiled to show her own kindness. Everyone... He trusted in them and even put them on a tier higher than himself. There was no way they would kill him. He had his doubts more now, sure, but he would write 'They won't kill me!' 500 times on a wall if it meant it would abolish any thought that said otherwise.
Accepting the candy, he had quickly gobbled one up and stashed the rest in his jacket pocket. He was in his happy place again. That was, until he had processed what she had just called him.
"F-Fantastic Finch-chan.... I... I don't deserve such a n-nice name from people much better than such lowly trash as I... Why... I... I'm too pathetic to be something as great as 'fantastic'... I... I know it! I absolutely know it! I know it I know it I know it..!! Pl-Please don't force yourself to keep calling me such nice things when I don't deserve it! I... I'm just a worthless bastard when you're so amazing! AaaaaaaaaAAAGH..!!!" he screamed in frustration, his eyes both furious and scared. Intimidated and poisoned by fear of the consequences of his words, he trembled.

"Yeah, it was pretty fun." He smiled. He seemed happy, like he was calming down just little. Until he screamed. Ren pulled his hand away, jumping back.Â
"Hey, hey! Shhhh." He raised his hands in defense. "Itâs fine! Itâs fine! I probably shouldâve asked first before touching you, shhh. Itâs alright. Deep breaths, man. Itâs my fault, Iâm sorry I startled you. Just trying to calm you down a little. Shh. Itâs okay." Katayama decided that maybe it would be a better idea for him to not get too close to Finch. He didnât want to risk scaring him again. "Itâs fine. Weâre all good, âright?"
"I... It's fine... N-No! It's not fine..!! Not fine at all!! I'm sorry! I really, really am sorry..!! I should have been clear about my set boundaries! M-Maybe I was foolish to think I could just be a better person just like that as if it was so easy..!! I should have known that I'd freak out-- I... I should have I should have I should have I should have..!!!" he scolded himself, repeating his words with an increasing pace. Grabbing at strands of his hair, he pulled on them and clenched his teeth to stop himself mid-sentence.

"H-Hey! Itâs not too forward, really. Donât worry about it, just⊠Take a breather, âright?" Ren frowned, reaching out and touching Finch on the shoulder lightly, trying to calm him down.
She shrugged. âTo be honest, I never really got to go to amusement parks unless I snuck in. There used to be a carnival that would come every summer a town over from where I lived, and when my brothers went out I would sneak out and go there with my friend. We didnât have any money to pay for tickets, so we would sneak on rides and steal cotton candy and lemonade until the cops found us and chased us all the way backâŠâ She smiled a little, and laughed at the memory. âYou didnât talk out of turn..? You can talk whenever you want. Donât apologize, you didnât do anything wrongâŠ.â
Carnivals, eh? "R-Really..? That... That sounds really nice..!! Aaah... I've read on so many events like that, but I've never really experienced one for real..! Aaah... The life of a free-abled person to go and explore and roam and have fun... How exciting! How thrilling! How enchanting..!" he exclaimed with glee.
His daydreaming happiness did not last long though until he had realized something was on his shoulder. Staring for a few moments at the hand that had so lightly touched him he hadn't realized until now, his habitual instincts kicked in and made him scream and flinch, moving backwards.Â
"I... I... I...," he stammered before taking in a deep breath. "I'M SO SORRY..!!! TH-THAT WAS ENTIRELY UNNECESSARY, AND YOUR HAND ACTUALLY FELT SORT OF NICE AND I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT, BUT I SWEAR THAT IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE I'M SORRY-!!

Who was this again? The maid stared straight at the engineer with a hint of confusion on her face. She had never spoken to this person either, had she? It didnât matter; as long as they knew her name, that was fine with her.Â
"Oh. Yes, I did. Mizuno is fine," she replied. "Itâs easier to say than my other name, isnât it? I respond to either just the same." He was pale, she noted, obviously whatever Monobear had done was getting to him as well. "And you areâŠ?"Â
"I... I'm s-sorry, Mizuno-san..!!!" he yelled. "I... I forgot your other name! I'm sorry I'm such a worthless bastard who can't even give you the decency you deserve after death...!! Uhuhuhu...," he laughed in a mixture of what seemed to be nearly crying in addition.
He quickly attempted to recompose himself, but could only barely give off the appearance that he had managed to at least attempt to calm down. "I... I'm Kenji Byouki, Ma'am!! I'm the Super Duper High Schooler known for reinventing trash into workable, incredible machines under the name of Finch! Pl-Pleased to become your acquaintance..!! O-Or was that not what you wanted me to say..? Please don't be disappointed in me... please don't..!!"
Akiko heard somebody calling out, and instantly assumed a superhero stance, throwing her cape around. With a grin, she rushed towards the source of the noise, charging into the room and looking at Finch with wide blue eyes.
"Are ya alright? What's wro- Wait a second," With a pause, she slapped herself hard over the head. "SHUT UP! Yeah, sorry, Fantastic Finch, wasn't talkin' ta ya. It's these goddamned voices, y'know?"
Then she realised that Finch looked really shaken. Stepping towards him with sad eyes, she managed to repress her manic smile and look as sad as she felt beneath it all.
"Fantastic Finch-chan... Is there anything I can do? I don't like seein' ya... Sad!"
Smiling awkwardly, she held out a hand. A hand full of candy. Because candy makes everything better.
Seeing the acrobat, he felt a little more at ease. Ah, yes, a familiar and welcome face! It had been a while since he had seen her. Perhaps she was a reliable set of shoulders to depend on for the truth...
That was, at least, the line of thought he had until she inflicted damage upon herself seemingly at random. Her loud cry... Its sharp tone almost made him want to go on the verge of tears. No... No... He was more resilient than this! When had he become such a crybaby just thinking about things?Â
Still, her actions served to do nothing but make his concern worse and his face to pale more. This was until she seemed to be offering candy-- loads of it! At least, by his standards at the moment. Why, she had managed to get some of it before they had been snatched and whisked away!
Tearing up a little, he reached an arm out to swipe the candy into his hands. "I... I, um... I'm sorry, Yukimura-san!! Y-Your kindness has my everlasting gratitude, I swear on it!!" He felt almost guilty trying to take it,but the temptation was strong. Damn his weakness to sweets...Â
Shaking, he hesitantly reached forward and back, his mind racing on his conflicting thoughts on whether or not to actually try and accept her offer.

This type of thing was interesting, wasnât it? Watching as madness slowly enveloped the people that she had talked with before hand. It was strange; being dead wasnât very fun. In fact, it was quite boring to say the least. Then again, she was a hologram and forced to stay within a certain boundary of her machine and the monomask holding her. Well, except for this time.Â
"âŠ" Her arms were crossed as she walked about on the fair grounds, searching for something to do. She felt as if she were suppose to whisper along with the other holograms, but yet, she found that to be useless. They were mad enough as it was; no need to add gasoline to a bonfire.Â
Chuckling to himself as a way to reassure himself, Finch walked cautiously around. His eyes wandering around, they periodically returned to the ground as he walked step by step. Suddenly he felt almost... cold. Rubbing his elbows, he considered whether or not to properly wear his hoodie for once.
That was, until his thoughts had been abruptly interrupted by a tingling sensation. His gaze rose and he searched around quickly, turning behind himself to find the vision of the deceased maid.
"A... Ah, um... M-Mizuno-san..?" he weakly asked. "O-Oh... um... wait.. y-you had another name, di... didn't you..?"
The moment he had awoken it seemed as if he had started wailing not long after, staying down on the futon with his eyes wide open. His indigo orbs stared furiously at the ceiling. While he might have been drowsy at first, it was not too soon until he had come to his senses.Â
There was one thing he had become positive of: The place he was in was no longer the familiar motel room he had been given at the very start. No... it was similar, but when his eyes had traveled around his surroundings, he had realized that it was absent of the decorations that had adorned his walls. The many tools and papers that were strewn across his room were all missing.
He had found it difficult to try and get the effort to move, but when he had risen Monobear's unmistakable voice awarded him. Explaining the new situation, he couldn't help but continue to grow frantic.Â
And he supposed that was the reason he had left his new quarters at last if only to confirm what their host had said.Â
"H-H-He... Hello...? I...Is anyone there?" he cried, biting his lip in the hopes he would stop trembling in his spot.

She nodded happily. âThe one and only.â Ren grinned at him. He seemed pretty damn nervous. She decided to be a little bit more careful with him. He seemed pretty friendly though. Hopefully heâs not always this⊠Skittish. âNice to finally meet ya.â She offered him friendly smile, hoping maybe her intent to not hurt him would show and maybe calm him down a little.Â
She decided to turn to small talk, unsure of what to say. âThis place sure is creepy.â She sighed. âAmusement parks always gave me the creeps, âspecially when theyâre all abandoned like this.â She shuddered. âJeezâŠ..â
"A-Aaaah..!! N...Nice to meet you too!" he replied. "O-Or should I be more formal?! L-Like 'It's such a pleasure to meet you, why I am sure our meeting must have been fate'..?"
"...O-Or is that t-too, uh... f-forward?! I'm... I'm very, very sorry..!! Pl-Please find it in yourself to forgive me, Katayama-san..!!!" he pleaded, his voice a high shrill as he shook a little.
After taking the time to calm himself down a little with a little mental reminder, he seemed to return to his prior state. "O-Oh..? R-Really...? I, um... thought that amusement parks were actually really interesting! E-Especially the one with Mickey Mouse..!!" Maybe that explained a little bit of the photograph he was holding. "I... I'm sorry for speaking out of turn, Katayama-san..."

Ren jumped, screaming as well. âHoly fuck, dude! You scared the shit out of me!â
She took a deep breath, letting it out in a sigh. âJesus christ, man. Iâm not gonna kill ya.â She paused, realizing her poor choice of words. ââŠLook, just calm down, âright? Iâm here for the same reason as you. I just wanna check the place out. Unless you have a different reason.â She shrugged.
"Sorry I startled ya, by the way." She looked up at Finch again. She had seen him at trials, and sorta just around, but it only just occurred to her that this was the first time she was really meeting him. She considered introducing herself, but realized, no, better not. He probably already knew who she is. Instead she pretended not to know for certain who he was. "Finch, right?"
Once he had managed to return to a more normal and less frantic state of mind, he had been able to realize that it was the one and only tattoo artist in town. ..Or city, he suppose would be a better analogy.
While her words certainly weren't the most comforting in the situation, the blond still seemed to find peace in her statement. Chuckling to himself, he nodded with a smile and a face that was almost reminiscent of a birthday boy of the age of seven.Â
"Y-Yes, Ma'am!! My name is formally Kenji Byouki, but Finch can do you perfectly fine if you so wish..!! I, um, wouldn't want to 'rain on your parade' as they might say ehehehe..!"
"Y-You're... um, Katayama-san, c-correct..? I, uh... I'm sorry, but I just, ah, well... wanted to make sure!! A continuous mistake w-wouldn't be good ahahah... Y-You see, I've been... um, well... a-a little frazzled as of late! I'm sure it'll all be back to normal soon..!"

"Oh, geez. That seriously sucks, man. I meanâŠI guess youâre kind of a package deal? Wow, where do you even go when youâre not, uh.â He gestured vaguely at the entirety of what was currently Ceroâs body. If he had to be honest this was only a fraction of the weird excitable questions he felt like asking. This was pretty much the coolest thing ever.
"Look differentâŠ? How much makeup would that even take? Wouldnât you have to be a quick-change artist too? And how different could you even get?âŠ" Aaand the weird excitable question dike springs a leak. Better plug it with his thumb and just stand here minding his own business for a few hours. "I mean, uh, you donât really have to answer that all if you donât want to. Ehehe."
"âŠOkay, donât tell anybody, but for some reason he jacked my underpants." He stared down at himself as if checking that yes, they were still there on his body. "I still have no clue why or how. I didnât actually bring a lot of stuff and Iâve been painting with food since we got here, okay!"
It was only after he remembered the actual mechanics of the trial that he did a double-take at the mention of swimming. âWait a sec, can you even do that without even. Uh. Changing back?â
He couldn't help but laugh at the artist's barrage of questions. "Hooo boy... ya' sure know how ta' make a guy feel special, eh? I almost feel like a celebrity on a talk show ahahah!"
Which questions to answer? For a few moments he thought, trying to at least remember all of them clearly. Thankfully, most of them seemed to be all one topic. "I can't change much with just makeup, but I can definitely hide a few distinguishable features. A big target'd be the freckles right off the bat. But I made sure after my first heist ta' get the whole deal! Maybe I'll show ya' some other time if ya' want. But yeah, I guess I've become a little quick. Don't take much more than practice though. I mean, repetition makes ya' so darn fast it ain't even funny! Aaaaan' is that all the questions ya' had? Can't quite remember... bleck."
Attempting (and a poor attempt that was) to stifle his snickers, he nodded. "Hey, hey, I bet ya' everyone values their tightie-whities at the very least. I've read of people giving 'em as like almost sacred presents, y'know? But hey, your secret's safe with me-- honest! I ain't got much ta' gain from lettin' my mouth get loose anyway.
"Since ya' got the courage, our possession was kinda weird... Still is weird if ya' ask me. One of Finch's first machines-- a trashy tv repurposed to dispense water like a good ol' waterfall! A' course, nobody'd want that except us, so it didn't really get 'im on the radar." Leaning forward ever so slight, Cero whispered, "He's grown a lil' dependent on it if ya' ask me though."
"Oh?" Looking back at the ocean, he gave a short chuckle. "Ya' bet I can! Y'see, that thing don't work as well on me unless ya' like... plan on knocking me out for whatever reason y'd have. Nah, the key to that... well... You keep this on the low-down, y'hear? I ain't ready ta' read an entire wallful if he ever finds out, buuuut... well, the key is stress. I ain't 'fraid a' no body a' water! Water never did anythin' ta' me anyway."

"A label thatâs similar enoughâŠkinda like you and Finch, maybe? Oh man, do you guys get into some kind of twin shenanigans or something? Quirky mishaps everywhere, but like, under a layer of psychological horror. Man, I didnât even think this kind of thing actually existed a couple days ago. Learn something new every day, I guess."
"âŠI guess youâre kinda right about that, especially if he wasnât actually gonnaâŠ" He dug his feet around in the sand for a second in lieu of finishing the statement. Nothing makes a person feel better than burying your feet in sand! "I donât even wanna think about that, this whole thing is just way too weird. Honestly it was just creepy that everybody else had so much heavy stuff. Mine was boring.â
For all Hirokiâs set in stone feelings about puppets, that seemed like a pretty zen thing to say. âYâknow, you actually donât sound like that bad of a dude. Were you gonna swim or are you just looking around?â
"Eh... If I'm awake in the daylight in public, that usually means somethin' really bad happened to Finch. I just try an' get my body outta there as soon as possible. In general, I guess ya' could look at everything else like some sort a' 'twin shenanigan' bundle though. I never really thought ta' look at it that way, y'know? Finch don't really... let me do much..." he trailed off, his tone melancholic.
"Before I woke up here, I made an effort to make myself look different than Finch actually," he laughed, trying to bounce back with his previous energy. The process had been tedious, but it had been worth it back then. "Lemme tell ya', makeup ain't too shabby for when you wanna get the job. I'd think I looked like a real casanova back in the day ahahah!"
"Huh? What was your possession? You say yours an' I'll tell ya' what ours was. A win-win deal, eh?" he suggested, a wink thrown into the mix. "Thanks. I'd like to think I'm more of a Michael Jackson bad if I had to be any type of bad," Cero snickered.
"I wasn't really expectin' ta' swim today, but I could if I had somethin' better than my briefs. I'm not really up for full-out fanservice, y'know? Gotta be in the right mood."

"Ah hahaa fun? Maybe as an alternative to being in a situation like this sure." She shrugged, shaking her head at that apology. "No need, as ridiculous as it was it sparked part of our conversation didnât it?" She grinned a little, shrugging again.
"Yeah, you know what I canât really argue with that. Honestly I would love to find out some more information as well, on this whole thing anyways. You really think there will be anything thatâll prove or help us with anything in that amusement park though? Or are you just using that as an excuse to ride the rides." She said, teasing just a bit, glad this conversation was nicely taking her mind off things.
"Hm... I'll let ya' in on a little tid bit. Y' see... I wasn't really intending on ever... well... leaving this place. I ain't got the motivation ta' try," he stated both grimly and bluntly.
"Buuut... I'll help y'all out. If I find out anythin' mighty interestin' I'll be sure ta' try an' report it. Might need ta' hunt me down though, heheheh... But yeah, while I might have an actually legitimate reason ta' be doin' what I'm doin', who the hell would skip free rides anyway? Gotta relive the past I never got ta' experience after all! I ain't crazy enough to pass up this one-in-a-lifetime chance!!!" There was a twinkle in his eye as he grinned widely from ear to ear. "No one ain't gonna stop me either! I'll run 'em over if they so much as think of tryin'!"

Hidekiâs eyes brightened up and he nodded. âThatâs a great idea! Everyone⊠everyoneâs been feeling really bad, like you said.â He looked up at the sky and tapped his foot for a moment. âHmm⊠I wonder what is the best way to get everyone to join in?â He rambled to himself for a bit, before turning back to Cero.Â
"âŠcongrats on being part of the fewâ" he whispered, seriously, but then changed back into his upbeat attitude. "Well, then! Itâs nice to talk to you now, at least. Iâve heard quite a few things from last trial, but Iâm not exactly sure what theyâre talking about." He shrugged. "You seem pretty cool to me." He nodded once more. "Thatâs right! After I explore, though, I guess Iâll hold some kinda party or other."Â
"Well... deceit's always one way to get everyone in one place. Say a lil' white lie to lead 'em here for different reasons. Though ya' could be borin' an' just send out invitations." Locking eyes with Hideki temporarily, he smirked. "I might even help ya' get the word 'round! Assuming Finch takes a nice ol' rest for a while for me ta' do anythin'."
"R-Really..?!" his eyes widened. "Y'mean consent ain't broadly understood? Fo' real?!" Dropping any effort to seem at all cool, Cero's genuine surprise took him over like a spell was cast on him. It wasn't long before the thief masked his child-like perception of the world as if it never existed.
"Thanks, kid. It's been a while since I've had an honest-to-goodness conversation. I guess that makes ya' a lil' special in my eyes, eh? Congratulations, kitty," he grinned. "Find out the best places for your radical party, y'hear me? I don't want ta' be disappointed when it all ends up happenin'!"

Are We All Forgotten Too? [Open for DA]
At his words Susumu jumped to her feet, spun around to face him. Anger coursed through her, a sudden fury at the whole situation. All of a sudden her mind was ablaze with thoughts, all of them negative, all of them hateful. And she couldnât help but spit out the words she was thinking.
âYou did this! You voted for him! You killed him, and now you wonât let me die!â Her words got louder as she spoke, and by the last sentence she was screaming. The fish swimming in the background looked a little unnerved.
She started shuffling towards him, hands balled into fists. âYouâre a monster. Youâre all monsters! Just kill me already, alright? I donât need to get out safe! Kill me kill me kill me!â
Hearing anger he supposed was much more entertaining than a lifeless tone. It confirmed there was still hope for life in there somewhere. Him forcing it out though? Fat chance. He had only so much power to help.
Sighing once more, he tried his best to stay in place despite his instincts. At the very least, he stared at Susumu as she drew near. Did he necessarily fear what she could do? No. Did he fear what might end up happening that he might not have had accounted for? Yes.Â
"I'm... sorry," he mumbled, wincing at her words.

"I guess I might have had too much fun to notice or something like that," he replied, shrugging. He seemed to look off for a moment, turning his head towards the park with a slight frown. After a bit, he shrugged again, seeming to disregard whatever he was thinking of in the first place.Â
"I guess thatâs true," he replied, with a nod. "Maaaybe we can finally enjoy something in this area." He silently hoped the motive wasnât going to be as bad as the previous ones, but⊠they just seemed to get worse. He wondered silently how long the grace period would be.Â
"Permission?" he asked, tilting his head. His "ears" flopped to one side. "Well, nice to finally talk to you, then!" He paused once more before mumbling something to himself. "I wonder whatâs in here⊠I never really explored the other areas."Â
"Hm... If ya' wanted to enjoy it, wouldn't it be a bright idea ta' try an' have everyone gather 'round an' enjoy it together? I'm not expert on social relations, but it just seems fair, don't it? To be honest, everyone seems like they need some sort a' vacation..," he spoke, his voice ending off at a little more than a murmur.
"Yeah! Consent's important, y'know? Might've not had much taught to me, but I still got at least that much down. Finch was practically dyin' to keep me hidden for years... A pain in the ass that time of my life was, really. But if he's part a' the body, he's part of it," he explained in a much more dry explanation than was actually true.  "Really? Well, you've got only one life ta' live, so I'd say go an' explore it to your heart's content! Nothing ain't stoppin' you right now, right?"
