Ok look, I need someone’s help finding a fanfic. I had read it years ago and never got to the end, and now I can’t find it ANYWHERE, it’s a Troyler (Troye Sivan/ Tyler Oakley) fanfic that I was pretty sure was called ‘Tutor me’ or something like that where Troye is falling behind in school so his parents who suck and don’t encourage him to pursue anything he likes well they force him to go to a tutor and this person happens to be Tyler Oakley, and Troye is just a little shit for the first few chapters just being an absolute problem for Tyler but Tyler gets him to open up and share the music he’s been writing and Tyler loves it, and eventually his parents just like… abandon him or something and he basically moves in with Tyler and Tyler has to come to terms with the fact that he really like Troye more than he should. I was reading it on Wattpad I think and now it’s non existent and I was feeling nostalgic but can’t find the story to see how it ended to finally get it out of my head, I’ve been dwelling on this for like 3 weeks now btw.
So Netflix is dumb and only has 16 episodes of danger force, and I finished them all so now I gotta try and find them somewhere else… stupid Netflix and stupid Paramount+ for withholding rights, that the reason all of season 4 of Henry danger isn’t on Netflix
The whole team has a thing for a guy, so Bose and Miles both have a fluid sexuality?
And also they confirmed that Ray has a crush on Henry? They can’t play the same song talking about like liking someone and having Ray drool over seeing Henry the same exact way the 4 kids did seeing their crush and expect me to believe he’s just excited to see his friend again.
Leading into 8 “Return of the Kid”
Do y’all think Henry was a little jealous of the fact that Ray is obviously more carful with the kids than he was with Him? I mean Ray’s still reckless but Henry was almost shocked by the low stakes missions Mika was telling him about and Henry was fight with bombs on his first day as Kid danger. (More carful with them when Henry’s not around because obviously Ray wasn’t joking about burning everything to the ground to go back to dystopia with him)
“I love this” “I love you” “WHAT?” “I said get ready for round two” and then they tango into the night. That’s some fanfic bullshit and I won’t change my mind.
Canonically Mika died. that’s it. Canonically one of the kids died and they never brought it up again.
Henry trusting Schwoz’s abilities 100% to the point that when he felt unsafe and didn’t know what to do, his first thought was go to the building Schwoz built, he’ll be protecting there. That’s so cute.
I just realized that Ray is trying to do better by the danger force than he did with Henry, people say he gets worse in danger force which I could see why people say that, he gets more childish and whiny, but at least he learned some things from his time with Kid Danger and grew up a little.
Henry didn’t graduate, so Ray got a school for the kids.
Henry was thrown into the hero role immediately with no prior training, he refuses to let the kids go on missions for weeks until he trained them a little bit.
Ray realized that Henry had a point when he said he’d taken that oath when he was 13 and it shouldn’t have been a decision that defined his whole life and so Ray constantly gives these kids outs, he teaches them to use their powers but he never has that same expectation that any of them are going to be “Captain man” when he retires.
The running gag between Henry Danger and Danger Force is that if it doesn’t directly affect him he doesn’t care but this proves that over all those years Ray was listening and he did care. Maybe not in the traditional way but in his own (kinda messed up) way
Not even halfway through the second episode of Danger Force and I’m pretty sure if I took a shot every time Henry is mentioned just in these two episodes alone I’d be passed out lol.
Ray manically saying “I miss Henry Imiss Henry ImissHenry” wile Schwoz pinch’s the bridge of his nose nodding in agreement is so funny, these kids are gonna give them both simultaneous breakdowns before episodes end I can feel it.
Ok right off the bat danger force is wild, the intro is the FUNNIEST thing, I need a side by side of Henry’s intro and Rays intro. And Ray only had like 20% of screen time the first episode and 50% of it was him talking about Henry so this is gonna be good I can tell already lol
So I just finished Henry danger for the first time and I’ve got some thoughts.
Mostly WHAT DO YOU MEAN Ray was gonna buy Henry a whole school? Henry was upset about not graduating and despite Ray seemingly not caring, he was just gonna buy Henry a school to solve his problem?
Does this mean Henry never graduated? Like Henry left for dystopia so did he drop out?
What was Ray going to admit? He said he had something he’s always wanted to say to Henry and that it’s not easy for him to say, then he copped out, chose to divert the conversation rather then have a moment of vulnerability, it’s killing me to know what it was gonna be!?!
Henry’s main focus being on Charlotte and keeping her safe both wile the man cave’s was exploding and in the prolog in dystopia is a really cute addition to his character.
It was a little bit of a cop out giving Ray back his indescribability ‘in a couple weeks’ it’s not that serious I know they had to give Ray his happy end too being the last episode, it just woulda been interesting if he didn’t have powers and had to deal with that.
What do you mean Piper just dipped? She’s 14, I know her parents suck but they really let her move to Florida? Also that’s so real that Florida state would let a 14 year old live on campus without questions.
Where did charlottes powers come from? Did I miss something? No, it was just thrown in to even out the numbers? Ok got it.
In total I’m going to miss the dynamic dumbasses and there crew with one brain cell, I’m apprehensively starting Danger Force, I’m really unsure if I’m gonna like it but we will see.
I just need to talk about the nickname Ray so casually called Henry in ‘Visible Brad’ and how insane he is for that. And how I’m pretty sure there’s an over arching theme of the episode.
NSFW warning ahead
So in this episode Ray gives Henry the nickname Trick Boy, which given the whole episodes theme centering around magicians is innocent enough, until you really think about it.
For those of you who don’t know, a “trick” is a person who pays for sex so they “turn a trick”, but on the other end of the coin the prison slang “trick boy” or “trick bitch” usually refers to a more effeminate man who will trade Lude acts for favors.
Now it could be 100% innocent and I’m wrong, but given everyone’s reaction to the stage name, I saw a different story then what they were telling
1. Ray refused to tell Henry the nickname ahead of time, now he’s a dramatic bitch so he coulda waited just to see Henry’s raw reaction but the fact that he’s known to enjoy embarrassing people especially when they refuse to play along with his games and this whole episode Henry has called every one of his ideas stupid or lame and hasn’t been Rays idea of ‘fun’ it’s not to much of a stretch to think he’d use a humiliating term to get a rise out of Hen.
2. The moment he introduced him as “Trick Boy” Henry didn’t even hesitate to try and leave and when he’s force to stay put and Ray again uses that name Henry’s demeanor changes. He was already uncomfortable with the disguise Ray put him in and I think that codename was the tipping point and his entire stance changed to more closed off and sheepish, now if the codename was just a stupid play on words Henry might have still had an annoyed reaction but he wasn’t just annoyed he seemed embarrassed all be it by the implication of the codename or the stupidity of it that can be debated.
3. When Tatiana says “I guess that’s why they call you trick boy” Henry immediately gets uncomfortable again, his demeanor dropping to annoyance and Ray gives him that little shit eating smile like he knows he can’t be called out on his bull that moment so he’s gonna rub it in, again Henry could be annoyed at the stupidity of it but Rays reaction is really telling that something more is going on than what their presenting.
4. Allen says his stage name is the worst but then says “ok, maybe the second worst” after hearing Henry’s to which Ray laughs obviously getting more amusement out of Henry’s discomfort then the joke its self. Then with Stu he try’s bullying him into saying the name and when Henry doesn’t play along he says and then repeats the name. At this point Henry has made it clear he is uncomfortable, he wants Ray to stop. And Ray sees this as a challenge of sorts, to see if he can push more buttons.
5. When Ray says “nice work… trick boy” he put an intentional pause in there to push home his point, and Henry is finally defeated not even putting effort into correcting him with a low “thanks”
After Henry gave in and stopped fighting the name Ray didn’t call him that again, if he found it so funny that he’d bulldoze Henry’s initial discomfort over and over then why wouldn’t he continue to do it in front of their friends, he knows they’d laugh too and we know Ray loves the attention of making people laugh so why stop then.
Bringing home the point that Ray was making the entire episode, play the part I give you, keep up with the game cause I can Make this so much worse. I fully think the whole over arching theme in this episode is Rays inability to let things be unfunny or even serious and he was reminding Henry that he holds the cards, so when Henry finally gave in, stopped fighting him, he was satisfied and no longer needed the humiliation games he was playing.
You know sometimes it cross’ my mind that HBO coulda owned Henry danger in another universe and instead of the silly goofs and laugh tracks we coulda had something grittier.
Nickelodeon Ray is an immature man child with a bad temper and morals, when he has a bad day he slightly inconvenienced Jasper, or he bully’s Schwaz .
HBO Ray is also an immature man child with an awful temper and slightly more dubious morals, when he has a bad day he shoots a man in the leg and makes his team clean up the blood.
Nickelodeon Ray is already walking a fine line between being a hero and doing down right villainous acts against humanity but he always fall back on his (all be it paper thin) morals and hatred for doing what he’s told (mostly by people who are in power), HBO Ray would be in the mayors pocket, he’d be a “hero” doing back door deals that keep him in business, never having an issue greasing some palms or bloodying his fists.
And instead of the over arching story being Henry having to decide if he’s gonna go out and make it on his own or stay with this objectively (questionably) good dude that saves Swellview and loves Henry like family. In HBO dangerverse Henry after being Rays sidekick for 5 years has to decide if he’s gonna follow him to the end, into corporate greed and selling his soul into the corrupt politics of Swellview and being the “next face that shakes the night” only to be the darkness that lurks in the shadows just as Ray had taught him. or fight Ray to topple the control he has over the people, having to face the fact that Ray never cared about him or that he at best saw him as a pet, something to be pitied, something to be owned. And in the end their standing on that train and ‘Captain Man’ has beaten ‘kid danger’ bloody wile he doesn’t even have a scratch on him, but right before he can land the kill shot, kid danger rips off his mask wile screaming at him “look at me Ray! I was just a kid when you dragged me into this world of adults” and Ray won’t look at him without his mask cause that makes it to real, he’s no longer eliminating a pest ‘taking care of a mission’ as the mayor calls it, he’s hurting his kid and Henry’s not gonna take that, throwing himself at captain man as hard as he can, scratching and ripping at his face till he gets his mask off “this ends here, Ray, you coulda stopped, you coulda saved us” and with that Henry pulls his punch so Ray would dodge then he headbutts Ray stabbing his with a syringe of jolly Beatle tears that Charlotte help get, then throwing both of them into the water below effectively ending a decade of suffering and governmental propaganda.
