This is really fucking cool, I'm glad that they chose to not make her Batgirl or Batwoman but simply the Bat (reminds me of when Helena did that).

I need to see more of the design in action cause in the cover it looks kinda.... bad, but in the concept art it's pretty cool, the coat is a hit or miss if I'm being honest (on one hand, coat costumes are cool but on the other I wanna see the stuff beneath it.

I think there is a genuine discussion to be had about how writers use Barbara in relationships with the batboys across various forms of media and how they just see her as “the girl one” to be put into a relationship with others.

Timbabs in Arkham, brubabs in BTAS, jaybabs in three jokers and dickbabs main timeline.

I truly believe this comes from a place of misogyny, but the issue is that this conversation can’t be had since a lot of people take that to mean “Babs is passed around” essentially slutshaming when that’s not what that should be at all. Batfandom has somehow taken something that writers did which was already misogynistic and dismissive of her as a person and have made it a one liner that perpetuates MORE misogyny.

Truth is many female characters get reduced to being just the girlfriend of whatever guy they’re with but somehow with Babs they find ways to do this repeatedly. Over and over and over again.
