hi! about potc 5, all i want to know is how did will come back to land after 'the curse' lifted??? like, doesn't the dutchman need a captain??? and isn't 'the curse' lifted already when davy jones died on potc 3????

well the curse isn’t necessarily lifted on 3 it’s just kind of transferred to will since he’s the one that stabbed the heart, so the curse it’s still there it’s just a different person. and so he was able to come back on land and leave the dutchman because breaking the trident broke all sea based curses including the dutchman’s curse! it is a bit confusing and there’s a few inconsistencies but that’s the gist of it!
