when someone brings up one of your triggers in casual conversation
my friend always call themselves fat and that they eat too much and talk about weight and it triggers me so bad- I lob them but they seRIOUSLY STRESS ME OUT
my friends would talk about how they have been gaining weight in quarantine and they are all 45 kg while i sit there with my 70 kg fat ass
isnāt it funny how when thereās a new number on the scale that indicates u lost weight, u get so happy by the sight of it but all it takes is a few days of it not changing for it to suddenly become the most ugly and hated number in the universe
it just keeps snowballing and spiralling :/
Addiction.
Cigarettes make you calm.
Alcohol makes you forget.
Drugs make you happy.
Starving makes you proud.
Sex makes you feel loved.
Self-harm makes you numb.
Sleep makes you stop feeling.
Weāre all addicted to something that takes the pain away.
Sometimes I forgot itās not normal to have long internal debates about whether or not to eat today
If you are eating less than the recommended calorie amount, hereās what you need to know about what to expect after just a few days:
-you will be cold. So cold. Even if itās 60 degrees outside, your hands and feet will be freezing. Layer blankets on your bed and drink warm drinks to get through it.
-you will be moody as hell. You will be angry most likely and feel like the world is against you personally. Watch your tone and make sure you try to think rationally before expressing negative emotions towards others.
-you will likely have stomach cramps for a short period if you go from eating a normal calorie amount daily to eating under it for multiple days.
-you will feel nauseous if you drink too much water/tea. Stretching and tums help with that (plus tums provide calcium!).
-headaches. Take an ibuprofen, burrito yourself in blankets, and take a nap.
-you will be excessively tired all the time. The lack of glucose and fat energy from foods means your body will have to get energy from secondary resources like muscle mass and, later on, fat. Your body isnāt a big fan of that and will put you in a state of āsleep so I can get more energy thanks.ā Sleep 5 hours, wake up for 20 minutes in the middle of the night (make some tea, do a bit of slow and steady exercise, nothing exerting), then sleep 6 more hours. This will help your body be put on a normal schedule and when you wake up you will feel much more rested. Also helps lower the chance of a bad headache later in the day.
-you will want to eat everything in sight, but if you do, you will probably feel sick. Drink something, make a normal meal or whatever youāre comfortable with, and eat it slowly. Youāll feel better (physically) after eating something.
-you will begin to feel distant and distracted. If this happensa lot, eating something is one of the few solutions.
-coffee will cause you cramping and has a laxative effect. If you donāt want this, donāt drink it. Same with energy drinks.
