that’s his ‘oops busted’ face. because he made it clear to everyone present that didn’t trust iwa-chan with his 179 cm to spike past the datekou blockers, so he tried to set for him farther away from the net where shorter players usually spike from (unless they can jump like hinata). iwa-chan’s been shown to trust their skills—individually as well as a team—more than oikawa does so nothing about this exchange was surprising or out of the norm for them imo. oikawa has a tendency to overthink things and rely on strategy rather than sheer strength and skill, which is what iwa-chan means by ‘let’s do it like we normally do.’
