Revisiting a few old sketchbook ideas. Experimenting with some goodies from True Grit Texture Supply in order to add more texture and breaking up the “digital” drawing look in Procreate. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. :)

I haven’t posted on here in a long while so let’s fix that!
I started building up a Behance page with some projects and thought I should start posting my works-in-progress again. I have sooo many unfinished and so many I haven’t shared! Here’s a digital painting from sometime in 2024. Was feeling sunflowers at the time, reminiscing of Southern days.
Another nice mental break/challenge this week. I had to do a reverse image search for this dancer’s name / Olga Kuraeva. 5.16.2020
It’s been awhile. I’ve been sneaking some anatomy studies & challenging myself with limited color palettes a few hrs/week. It’s only practice stuff but thought I’d share. Really digging this WFH set up even though I’m more tired than usual these days. Anyway here’s a digital study of Misty Copeland from some online stock photo. 5.12.2020
Swamp thing... a thing I’ve been hacking away at over the past few months. Never enough time to finish.
Concept screenshots of thumbnails I’m currently working on.
Slow progress…working a little bit every few nights. The idea in my head is coming together but lots of work left to do! I’m impatient so already began playing with a bit of color.
Something I’m working out in my head. Digital painting in Photoshop / work in progress.
Starting the sculpting process.. Kinda jumping around between pants and shirt at the moment. Worked a little on the face....but haven’t touched anything else yet. (Base mesh of everything created in Maya.)
From thumbnail >> to final. Just an update of progress on pages (no text)... and lot’s of pages left to do!
Progress of page 2
“We all have the ability to dream dreams that have never been dreamt, to sing songs that have never been sung, to paint that which has never been seen before.
I hope that this project will inspire the dreamer within all of us.”

Page progress on children’s book illustration.
Warming up with a quick digital fox study. I made some Photoshop brushes and wanted to test them out. I’m going to make it a goal to do more light studies in the future.. Original photo by Konsta Punkka.
Front, spine, back covers. Mockup wip. Yellow & blue represents page division and trim.
I’m having quite a bit of fun illustrating a children’s story written by a friend. Here’s a quick & dirty sneak peek of the front-cover mockup I’m shooting off tomorrow for review. Blue represents trim area.
Just an update: Trying to get some base mesh for clothing to later throw into Zbrush and sculpt some detailed wrinkles.. Played with nCloth for a few hours and here’s the result. Trying to leave some room under the hat for hair. Still not super excited with the face, hands and lower leg shape but will re-visit down the road.
