Hi Jellybeans. I'm still around, lurking unsettling behind the teacup-shaped topiaries and befriending the rolly-pollies whilst diligently avoiding eye contact with the other internet guests. I am friendly though so don't feel deterred to approach. Come study the isopods with me. :)

If you have enjoyed my memes, I'm sorry to say I haven't been making them so much anymore. This year I have been incredibly busy graduating from college, landing in my first fulltime job and developing skills in my professional field, getting engaged, exploring my creative hobbies, and trying to stay on track with the laundry generally. There remains in this world great beauty and great hope, In Spite Of It All, and while I find myself having to look harder for it these days, the whole point of this meme page has been to be a place where people can find a smile in the midst of everything and rest their weary minds for a moment somewhere that feels safe and friendly.

So even though I don't have memes today, this is a friendly note into the heck void, waving hello to everyone who has enjoyed the memes, and a reminder that you are extraordinary and an important part of the world's story. I hope you find a reason to smile today, and discover some sustaining joy.

The school year has really been kicking my butt this time around, which I would much rather it didn't. And yet I persist, powered by plain bagel with cream cheese and sheer stubbornness.

It is time once again for workplace stories with Daisy May! Today I decided to wear a brand new pair of socks with my outfit for work. They were a really soft burgundy chenille type of material. Scrumptious. I was on my shift for about two and half hours when I realized the floor was dusted with dozens of tiny maroon-looking dust bunnies. It took me a few minutes to deduce that the fuzzies were in fact from my socks, which were rubbing against the backs of my shoes with every step I took, and the friction of this was shaving off layers of chenille and leaving it all over the dang place. The brand new socks wore so thin at the back of the heel there are holes there now. I am, needless to say, distraught and grief-stricken. Socks shouldn't betray you like this.

And yet, I persevere in petty spite and woebegone optimism, hoping that my hard work will all pay off. Stay strong, Jellybeans ✌️

A fun fact about me is that I am actually not that much fun at parties 🤣 (but, I have long since made peace with this. I know where I have fun: at home, doing little craft projects and cooking little treats late into the night)

Daisy May's handy-dandy, tested anxiety tips below the cut 👍

If you feel anxious a lot, these are some things that have helped me in the past:

- exercise; this one is like tricking the caveman part of your brain into thinking you got into a fight with a threat and won. Personally I prefer lacing up my shoes and running for my life! The brain can be a surprisingly simple creature sometimes and I've found that giving it what it wants (some controlled flight) can sometimes help it level out its anxiety. If running's not your jam you can try walking, jumping, or "shaking it out" (panic jazz hands), or any other movement that feels regulating to you.

- a lil snack; this one is also part of my caveman brain theory. When you sit down and eat something, even if it's just nibbling some crackers, it makes your caveman brain think "hm, eat food; wouldn't be eating food if there danger. Must be safe." For some reason sour candy is great for this.

- a calm, repetitive task; I don't understand this, but sometimes the repetition of a task is calming. For me this is often wordsearch puzzles or solitaire; something about sorting stuff and things into their correct little locations and whatnot. 🤷‍♀️

Anyhow these are just some general things that help me when I feel anxious. These could be different for everyone. Take care of your minds and bodies in whatever way you need to, jellybeans 💚

Not a meme today, jellybeans. I have been working on a potential grouping of offensive condiments to theorize what might be on Mordecai Heller's Forbidden Condiments List! I have included a few that according to my own personal taste I think should be considered more criminally offensive than bootlegging. 😀

Turns out thouhh that there aren't very many condiments that start with the letter "O" though. Any suggestions?

Personally I don't ship it but a secret third thing 😆
