Powder Blue 10s

In a little over 12 hours the Powder Blue 10s will release for the first time since November 1994. These were originally dropped as an extension of the Jordan X “Cities Series.” These were considered the “Charlotte” 10s, even though they have ties to Chapel Hill. Jerry Stackhouse famously wore these while still playing for the Tar Heels.

10s are high up there on my Jordan list, for performance, comfort and style. In the winter of 2012 I remember waiting in line for hours when the Chicago 10s retroed for the first time. I’ve only wore those a handful of times, tomorrow morning I will Christen them on the basketball court.

I was able to get my hands on a pair of Steel 10s this past October. I wear those regularly because they go with just about anything. I wasn’t able to secure a pair of Powders for tomorrow. Waiting in line for hours isn’t an option for me anymore due to the fact that most stores now work off a raffle system.

This is definitely a classic pair of Jordans and much anticipated. Most sneaker heads would consider them to be a must have. I still might snag a pair if the opportunity presents itself. Good luck copping these joints tomorrow! Tag me in a picture if you do.

Jordan 10s "Steel"

Starting in October and leading up to the holidays, Jordan Brand will be dropping some great retro kicks. These include some brand new awesome looking color ways such as the "Bel Air" 5s and Gamma Blue 11s. I do love seeing the creativity and freshness of new color ways, however I'm definitely a sucker for the classic retro Jordan's. In a little over two weeks (October 12 to be exact) the Air Jordan 10 "Steel" will be releasing. These beauties haven't hit stores since back in May 2005 when I was a Junior in high school. My paper route was my source of income during my high school days. I remember getting up around 4:00 am and rushing through my paper route in order to catch the bus and head to the mall to wait on line for the "Steel" 10s. I ended up arriving at the mall just before 6 and only waited two hours for the sneaker stores to open. Once inside I ran to Finishline and was able to secure my pair, that was one of the best bus rides home that I can remember. These have to be one of my favorite Jordan's of all time; they aren't the typical Chicago Bulls, signature red/black/white colors. The mixture of black and grey on the all white silhouette gave them a unique and fierce look. I'm bias to these because any Jordan with grey in it is a must have in my eyes. The "Steels" lasted me about a year until I made the unfortunate decision of playing basketball in them, this ultimately ruined them over a few months of playing outdoor hoops at the neighborhood parks.

I've been waiting for a LONG TIME for these to be re-released so I can take better care of them and keep them in my sneaker rotation for years to come. I will be trying to get them a week or few days early for an above retail price just to ensure that I get a pair. Two weeks into the NFL season my fantasy team has been struck with the injury bug. This forced me to start 2 backup running backs (Fred Jackson and Chris Ivory). Jackson had a good game but Ivory got injured after only a few snaps. Going into Monday night I still had a slight chance to pull out a win with my main man Peyton going up against the Raiders. Peyton had a great game but I still fell short by 4 points. This was the second time this season that I lost by 4 points or less. Now I'm 1-2 heading into week 4, hoping to get Ray Rice back in my lineup to help me grab my second win of the season. To all my fellow fantasy players out there; Good luck and lets get a W this week!!

Air Jordan 4's "Fear"

I'm a huge fan of sneakers, particularly retro Jordans. My favorite Jordan of all time has to be the Retro 4's. I currently have five different color ways of the 4s and have previously owned three or four others. My most recent Jordan pickup was the "Fear" 4s. On August 24th I waited outside of my local mall from 3AM until the time it opened to secure my pair. Waiting outside with a few friends and hundreds of others was definitely well worth it. These sneakers are part of the "Fear Pack" which includes the retro 3s, 4s and 5s; none of which have ever been released before. They are all different combinations of darker colors to represent the "Fear" that Michael Jordan put into his opponents. These sneakers stole my heart (and hard earned cash) due to the different shades of grey, black and white. Any Jordan with 'Cool grey' is a must have in my eyes. The white paint speckle on the lower mud guard is what sealed the deal for me. The unique combination of suede, nubuck and leather gives them an extremely comfortable fit.
