Roberta glared warily at the Spy. She had enough of them giving her trouble already. More adding themselves to the list was the last thing she wanted. The other woman wasn't from this base, so what was she doing here?
The spy glared right on back. She might be a visitor in the base, but that didnât mean she had to be nice to any of the more permanent inhabitants. She was only staying for a day or two, after all, on her way to her new assignment.
"Trying not to die of âeat while zhe idiot driving my transport van refuels."
The sentence was accompanied by a slight eyeroll, which quickly evolved into a glance around the place. The spyâd never been to this particular outpost before. Predictably, the building was just as cluttered and unkempt as most of the other bases.
"Ah. Standing outside in a desert in the middle of the day really doesnât help with that," she quipped. The Medic occasionally went outside to get a bit of fresh air, but for the most part she stayed in.
"Well, since you donât appear to be a RED, I suppose I should be helpful. You need water or anything?"
"It does not tend to," the spy replied, in a tone that made it clear she didn't appreciate the comment. Humor, however dry and probably not intended to be very funny, had never been her forte.
"And, no, I am fine. I may be staying zhe night, but I will manage. Merci."
