Lightning round is over!!!

i found out why she called it ugly. She was calling everything ugly because she needs to submit it for college apps.

I was getting so sick of her calling my work ugly I just started replicating her work and she still called it ugly

She has been calling everything even her own work ugly. She has redrawn almost everything and tried new concepts and done so much and still calls it ugly.

She's just stressed for college apps

Still pissed she called my slides ugly tho

I'm sorry I did all the work. And by all the work I mean I did her slides I did his slides I did 70% of the slides. I transferred them over. I added the animations. And you dare. Dare. Tell me it's ugly. You changed it on the older version and asked me to transfer it over while the others were submitting right as we speak. Literally. And you dare call my work ugly. You told me to transfer 5 minutes before it was due. I had to do your slides because I could not get a hold of you. How fucking dare you tell me that my version is ugly

I feel as though I have done all the work and none of the work at the same time. While I do not know what the sound design and programmers are doing, I am certain that I have outputted the most out of the artists and yet I feel there is more to do. The game does not look nearly as nice I need to animate more and I need to make the ui look good. I don't think we can accomplish this by the deadline unless I do more than I have now

Also when you get in that weird mood that you need to clean everything despite there being actual important adult work in front of you. CLEAN THE DAMN HOUSE.

When you feel the urge to do something do it. When you feel the urge to not do anything get dressed in a suit and tie and then sit down and get some work done

i used to throw tough questions asked by people during arguments back at them to figure out an acceptable answer.

There is no acceptable answer. What the answer and what they expect you to answer are 2 very different things.

my programmer just asked me if I was going to animate the enemy.

For context this is a sushi game where you prepare sushi.

The enemy is dead fish. Oh sure I will animate this decapitated fish for you. What would you like for it to do? Flail around? What about this chunk of raw fish on a plate? Would you also like it to flail around?

i in fact would not believe my eyes if I saw 10000000 fireflies. I already am confused by like 20

to this day I have yet to make friends with a gay man. In fact I have not yet met any sort of queen man beside myself.

you wanna know my little secret?

I spent a whole summer looking at people who others were naturally drawn to and who I was naturally drawn to and I looked for common traits shared among them and thought about what reasons I thought others were drawn to them.

Just to be clear my sample size was almost exclusively nerds, artist, and hyper fans of things.

Here is a list of things I learned

Look the part - there is a certain familiar look that is shared amongst these people

Laugh often - just be funny and start laughing others will join and this will attract more people

Be in multiple fandoms - people like talking about their interests

Lose your filter - the more unhinged and entertaining you are the more people gravitate towards you

Have a selling point - typically people know of these kinds of people rather than know it's better to have something easy to remember and refer to you by

Strike first - the first person who cracks a joke in an awkward room will be the go to conversation man

Be expressive - a lot of these people have no shame and are often considered safe to geek out around

Talk to people consistently - you don't have to talk to the same person just when you see a person talk to them

This is my personal experience I do not do everything on this list but if you are ever in need of some fast friends that don't last I have advice

confession time:

I stopped talking to my old friends and that was entirely on me not on them.

I didn't think they liked me very much and also at the time I was bad at texting and often would never text back to them. I only kept in contact with 2 people from middle school going into highschool and stopped talking to them during freshman year.

Sophomore year was when I actually made a conscious effort to maintain my friendships so that's why everything seems okay now but I was really bad at keeping in touch with them because I didn't like going outside and I didn't like texting and if we weren't meeting in person I would just never talk to them

So essentially I ghosted them. I mean I never really texted anyways and I think I annoyed a lot of them but they were good at keeping is hidden so I would often question if they wanted me there anyways.

I mean I was never really close with them. I thought I was but I guess it was a combination of me never checking the GC and me not willing to leave my house that caused us to fall apart naturally.

It's just weird you know. I will never be close to them again because by this point it's just awkward and I have friends now but sometimes I miss them.

I mean they were the nicest people ever you could not get them to bad mouth anyone because they didn't like gossip. They were nice supportive and remembered your interests. They made an active effort to include everyone.

Anyways it was someone's birthday a few days ago and I just felt weird. I had so many memories with them and seeing a picture with everyone but not me felt weird. I know they didnt like me but sometimes I wonder if they missed me too.

Anyways long rant you don't have to read any of this. Uh if you are going to do a comment do something constructive please. I don't like heavy emotions which is ironic and I'm going to stop typing now

you know what I would love to see?

I would love to see two online "debaters" actually debate

I propose the Lincoln Douglas format but I suppose public forum would work too.

So often these debates are skewed by who talks the loudest or fastest or who can redirect the conversation towards something more favorable to them

Having an actual structured debate instead of a screaming match would be beneficial towards everybody

okay just to be clear, I have never read the project hail Mary book. I have only watched the movie. Okay?

How tf does astrophage work? How fast do they travel? Did humans just take literally forever to notice they were there? Do astrophage move at the speed of light? Where did they come from?

How did Rocky and grace communicate so quickly? I know grace made technology or whatever but that was hecking fast to figure out. Like really really fast. Like that was a linguistic miracle. What does Rocky eat? Like he ate one time in the movie. What was he eating? Where does he poop? Where are his ears? Does he have an additional sense that humans don't?

Are there any non water based life forms? Or are they all water based? Did grace go to space just to find out he was wrong?

Why did grace lose his memory?

I have so many questions

if you were to take the percentage of water in my body turn it into a decimal and round to the nearest whole number I would be 100% water. So why oh why do I choke on water? My lungs need to be moisturized for me to breath. I need water to live. Why is it that when I send just one drop of water down my trachea I choke. I feel as though I may die. I am essentially a water droplet. Why? Why? Why?

i am so severely dehydrated every time I drink water I chug a whole water bottle and proceed to not drink until tmmr.
