“That’s very kind of you, of course I’ll take it.” She said, taking the free coffee off of the woman’s hands. “It is always nice to get things free.”
“It really is,” she agreed, passing off the coffee to the other woman. “Except for when you just got the same thing right beforehand.”

White teeth bit into the butt of the cigarette as Valentin made his way deftly along the sidewalk. The autumn sun glinted off of wild, heavy curls of rust red hair and brilliant eyes flickered up to the passersby, making no contact even as his fingers slipped within the large pockets of a passerby. Moving swiftly and undetected, and curled around a leather wallet before pushing into his own pocket. No one any the wiser. Even as he grinned, he found himself knocked off balance as his shoulder crashed hard into someone and he stumbled sharply. “What the fuck?” He barked out, looking up to who he ran into
She had no work to attend to this afternoon, leaving Dana with unexpected free time. She wasn’t used to this happening much at all, but she was going to enjoy it as much as she could. Not that she didn’t mind being productive and busy, but some downtime was always favorable. She was just leaving the grocery store after having bought some fresh ingredients for dinner later when someone crashed into her hard, causing her to drop one of her canvas bags. The familiar scent and voice reached her just after the collision and she sighed hard when she processed the curse words. “I’m constantly surprised I haven’t received more complaints about how much you curse,” she said, helping him up as she looked him over to make sure he hadn’t hurt himself.
And what would I do with it?
“Whatever you’d like. You can use it, give it to someone else. Toss it in the trash.”
He could smell a male on her. That didn’t really matter to Artie very much. She was still a rather beautiful mistress. He didn’t even know where his was. He had figured that going out would help him catch her scent. But there was nothing. He started to wonder if he should take the bracelet off… but he remembered that the bracelet was his safety.
So long as he wore it, they wouldn’t toss him in a cell. So he let it stay. At least for now. “Here you go,” he passed it to her before grabbing his own and paying the man behind the counter. Some slave that was lucky enough to land a job.
“It smelled nice. I’m just not a caramel kind of person,” his blue eyes settled on her. “Now I smell a male on you, but I don’t see one,” he gave a look around, “unless you’ve gone dipping in cologne,” he gave a smile.
“Thank you,” she said as the drink was passed off, giving him a friendly smile as she took it back. She watched as the slave worked behind the counter, wondering if perhaps a job for her own slave would be best for him. It would certainly help keep his mind off the drugs he had been so fond of using all of the time.
“That’s alright. Everyone has their own tastes. Mine just happen to revolve around caramel. What did you order?” she asked, feeling mildly curious as to how much his taste differed from her own now that the subject had come up.
She smiled back, laughing under her breath as she nodded at his words. “I don’t dip in cologne, but I do smell like a man. He’s not around with me, neither are,” she said with a wave of her hand. “Why did you ask?”
…..what?
“I have an extra. It’s up for grabs, first come first serve.”
“Let me guess…you think a decent time is food, then you take me back to your home, and then we have sex? I’ll pass”.
“I was thinking a definite yes to the first one, though I would add beer to that, as well. And sex would only happen if you actually wanted it. We could always end the night drinking and watching a movie.”
He nodded, not surprised that she’d heard his name before somewhere. He nodded again, “I do know Nicholas. Nice kid.”
“He is, thankfully,” she said in agreement, smiling to him. “Where did the two of you meet?”
“What makes you think you have what I want or need?”
“Nothing. I was only offering something to be generous. You could take it or leave it.”
“I’m sorry darling, I didn’t know it was flaunt-your-money-around day.”
“I thought it was more of a “Be generous to others” sort of day to me.”

“What the fuck is there to smile about?”
“Hunters haven’t killed you. That’s a big thing to smile about.”
“You could sell it. But who am I to make suggestions. If you’d still like me to take, I’ll gladly do so.”
“I could. But I already have all the money I need. To have more than that seems a little useless to me. I can’t take it with me whenever I die.”
She took a seat next to the other mistress.
“Awesome. It’s a lot better to drink with others than it is to drink alone. Not quite as depressing.”
“Any and all of that sounds amazing.” Andrew laughed a bit, “I don’t really know what I do for fun. Spend most of my time in a cell.”
“Well, we can just do all of that. And see what other things we can find to keep ourselves entertained,” she said, stepping back as a guard opened up his cell. “Life’s a little better when you have some kind of flexibility.”
I would quite love one, actually.
“Awesome,” she said with a smile. It was easier to help the slaves who wanted to be helped, that was for sure. “What do you like to do for fun? As long as it’s in the city, we can do it. Did you want some food? Beer? Movies?”
I wish more people were like you.
“So do I. But for now, we just have to hold on to the nice ones. Now, how’d you like an afternoon on the town?”
“I’m surprised you’re giving it away. Not that I’m complaining.”
“I’ve never been the greediest of people. Besides, I already have one similar to it. I’d rarely use it, so what’s the point in keeping it?”
