The View
âNo. I had a run in with someone. Like I said.â She literally had no idea who he was, and hoped to never see him again.Â
She leaned back, her gaze shifting to the girl. Right now, Valerie was bitter, agitated and angry, but none of it was this humanâs fault. Giving a slow sigh, she crossed her arms begrudgingly. âDid you at least hit back?â
Different kinds of Pain
When she pottered around the kitchen, he sat there staring at the counter, trying to think of something to say that wouldnât come out with attitude, but it was hard when all he wanted to say was protests about her sudden interest in his education. The grilled cheese sandwich came in front of him and he sniffed it âYouâve melted cheese on breadâŠâ he cocked his brow and then sighed.
Kadyn didnât want to argue, but he didnât want to learn either. âAre you really going to make me learn when I donât want to?â he asked and glanced to her for the first time âItâs not as easy as putting a book in front of me and telling me to read. I tried, for months, and I donât get it, and I donât like it. I donât see why I have to!â
She hadnât expected him to stick around, and didnât want to bring attention to it in the hopes that he might keep it up. Instead, she continued to cook. Or at least tried to. Once she finished putting the food on the plate, she looked down at it with a wrinkled nose, before turning to push it toward him, pulling out a can of soda and sitting it beside the plate. When he commented what sheâd done, she laughed. â..I melted cheese on meat and bread. Donât worry, I didnât forget your meat rule.â She murmured, her voice a soft tease.
Then Kadyn brought up the learning again and she sighed, well, at least it was better than him snapping his teeth at her and storming out. â..Thatâs because that isnât how you teach someone to read. Thatâs why it isnât that easy.â She stated softly, lifting herself up to sit across from him. âYeah, Iâm going to make you learn. Because thatâs just one more advantage youâll have. One more way for you to fucking communicate and one less thing you wonât understand. Itâs important, and it will give you an advantage. Thatâs why.â
Kambjo- {Private}
Attila is empathetic toward Valerie, but he isnât feeling sadness. His displeasure is toward the slave, not his mistresses. âYou should have killed her.â he says again. âEnyo won nothing, you both loss, letting yourself be dominated by the wishes of a slave. You should have killed her together and fucked in her blood. The both of you were weak; Iâm disappointed Valerie.â He is displeased in the two beta shewolves. He doesnât know what happened and he doesnât care, but this situation makes them look like weaklings in his eyes. The child; Castalia, shouldâve been punished, not rewarded.
The Alphaâs tone, equal and low as he told her she should have killed Castalia, it only served to add to the way she felt. Robbed of control, weak. Her slender fingers curled lightly against her sides in frustration as her gaze fell from his own. Deferring and landing on his mouth as she watched him speak each syllable, that he was disappointed. An unwelcome sensation, and one she was unaccustomed to rushed through her. Something like shame, something she didnât want to think to hard about as she recoiled nearly at that last word. She wanted to explain herself but it didnât matter. The alpha knew what he knew. She tried to stifle the flare of emotion on her features as her chin dipped in a nod. âYes, Alpha. I am too.â She stated. She was, she was disappointed in herself, for every bit of this. She knew fucking better than this.Â
Different kinds of Pain
When she pushed off him he glanced up at her and sighed, looking away, but his jaw was still tense. He didnât want to learn, he didnât want to sit at a desk and look at squiggles on pages, he wanted to be outside, he wanted to be rolling in the grass. How could he see it as anything but punishment?Â
His eyes snapped to the door when he heard the lock and he was on his feet. So ready to run when he caught her scent, the only one in the house and he sighed, he couldnât leave her alone right now. He glanced out the window and took a breath before clicking the lock back in place and going to the kitchen, sitting down silently.
Valerie pulled out a skillet and bread, beginning to make one of the only fucking things Valerie knew how to cook. Grilled cheese. She'd left the door unlocked for him, knowing he'd react badly to not being allowed to back out of learning to read. Knowing he'd see it as her commanding him and lording herself over him. Knowing he'd want to leave, run, maybe go off to someone else that wasn't making him so angry he couldn't stop looking at her the way he had. She heard him practically leap to his feet, but she didn't hear the door open. As she heated up the pan, her back to Kadyn and the door, Valerie waited for him to leave, storm out, but the sound of the door opening and slamming never came. Instead, she heard the heavy sound of his footsteps approaching her in the kitchen, only to sit at the counter of the kitchen.Â
Valerie's head turned in his direction, though not looking at him entirely. There was a certain level of surprise on her expression, before she shifted. Not approaching him yet, the little wolf moved to the fridge. Pulling out a cut of roast beef and throwing it onto the grilled cheese sandwich. Instead, deciding to cook it for him. Though she charred it a little more [a lot more] than it should have been, after a few minutes she had two grilled cheese and beef sandwiches. She turned and put them on a plate, taking a step toward Kadyn and pushing the plate toward him in a quiet little offer. Watching him cautiously, surprise that he hadn't yet left still on her face.
Off Guard.
It wasnât ever just his body that wanted her. He groaned and watched as she slid her perfect tongue against the head of his thick cock. He couldnât help the way his body was reacting, sure, that was true. But he actually did enjoy it anyway. That didnât diminish his desire to rip her throat out, though. When she opened her mouth to speak, Felix took that opportunity to thrust his hips upward, trying to exert what little control he could to get what he wanted from her. If he couldnât get her to release him, he could at the very least get a decent blowjob out of it before she left him high and dry for Luna to find the next day.
Dark lashes flickered closed as she shifted lower, further down his body. She was pissed at him, unbelievably so. He'd crossed a line, he'd made her feel worthless, she hated him right now. She kept trying to tell herself that as the flat of that pink little tongue dragged and teased along his thick length. Teasing against the head as her lips parted, slowly taking in an inch, then two into the soft velvet heat of her mouth before releasing him with a little pop. Teasing him only to do it again. She had to keep telling herself not to lose herself in his taste. This was to hurt.. not please. When he thrust hard up, driving deep into her mouth, she gave an eager.. wild little mewl of pleasure as she took him deep for a moment, before seeming to remember what she was doing here. Lifting her lips from his cock with a little gasp, then gripping the base of his cock, dragging sharp teeth against his head enough to sting. Not yet catching the way he tested the headboard. "You don't call the fucking shots here, Big bad." She snarled, voice low and hungry. "Move again, and I'll bite."
His voice had her stall just outside the bathroom door, turning to look over her shoulder. Her glare was dark, eyes hooded with dilated eyes, pure rage restrained by her otherwise placid features. She dropped the towel, standing before the both of them in a black bra and panties. Blood and water dripped down her skin, collecting at her feet in a pool while bits of glass still clung to her arms and legs, silver knuckles still in hand. She stayed where she was, seeing the flash of gold in his eyes, reflected in turn by the redheaded wolf. Her mind was whirling with ways to take them both out. The glass on the ground, the tile. Rip the the towel rod off the wall, knock the drunk one off her feet, stab it through her heart. Knock him back into the shower head, crack his skull and leave him unconscious. Half a dozen plays ran through her mind in one go while he spoke. Staying was dangerous. She didnât want to indulge in his shake-hands-and-say-youâre-sorry-charade. Shaking her head again, she turned and left his room, uncaring if he called out after her. He could deal with his tramp and she would be just fine in her own room cleaning dozens of fucking blood glass cuts. More scars. But of course. It was all he truly gave her.

The fingers that had been curled around Felix's wrists and clawing at them to get herself free had stopped. Not even bothering to use her own weight on them to support herself, her hands fell heavily to her side as she dangled in his grip. Not fighting, not even moving, just staring silently at Felix as he barked his orders in that loud, booming voice. She could feel the tension resounding off of the human behind her and honestly at the moment Valerie couldn't decide who's throat she wanted to shove her fist down more. She was leaning more toward Felix, with the whole 'choking her the fuck out thing' but she was pretty sure she could get a good smack in for Luna too. When he shouted that she'd better keep her hands to herself, she didn't respond. Well, she couldn't. She couldn't really talk or breathe that well, but those glassy eyes rolled skyward as she turned as far away from him as she could. The minute, the fucking second Felix set her down, she was going to bolt. He could deal with the aftermath of his hulked out bitch of a slave by himself. She was going to go home and lick her fucking wounds and figure out just how to get both of them back when she was more fucking sober. It seemed however, that the slave had similar thoughts as she just stomped out of the room. Blatantly ignoring her master's orders. The look Valerie gave Felix, it was silent. But damned if it didn't scream 'Yeah who's got an ungrateful asshole for a slave now."

Grief- [Ezra/Val]
Since his war with Sebastien had came to its end Ezra had resumed his somewhat irregular but distinct habits of searching for his Colony, scrummaging up resources that he could need, and filling his head with knowledge. He had kept somewhat loose tabs on the mistress he was preparing to visit, what word of mouth he caught on her updates all too often sounded like rumors, but that was Valerie. Heâd heard of her slave being given to another and how sheâd taken the gruff werewolf into her loft. Ezra hadnât given a second thought to how Kadyn might react to his presence in the loft, too often Ezra resembled a bullet, he was not something you could stop nor something you wanted to get into the way of.Â
He slipped on the jacket Valerie had given him, stopped at the liquor store and while he didnât stop for chinese, he did buy some cheap, certainly unhealthy, liquor store food. He did not knock when he came to Valerieâs loft, and while she had a clever set of locks, he knew better. The halfbreed set his spoils on the counter with the ease youâd expect someone how lived here to have and strode to Valerieâs room. When he found it empty his sharp eyes set on the loft, he knew the mistress hadnât left. It did not take him long to find her, there was only one door shut in the entire place.Â
Whatever daze had snared her was the one Ezra discovered her in. While Valerie was always one to be quick to regain her composure, a skill of her trade, she hadnât been quick enough. Ezra knew her unfortunately too well to be so easily fooled had she tried to wear her mask. But this was different, she hadnât even seemed to notice his entrance, laid on a bed in an abandoned room. His eyes flicked around the room to absorb the details before settling on the wolf, he approached quietly, his body made little noise until he crashed on the bed beside the other. âLast time I was at your place I fucked the place up. If this is a call asking for a repeat, I say we burn this stuff. Take it below, throw it in a pile, and drink to it.â
Valerie hadn't seen Ezra around much. Yeah, spotted, here and there. It had been nothing like the way it had been before however. And she honestly wasn't too sure how much of that was his asshole master, and how much of it was the toll their last altercation had taken on this, whatever it was. Friendship, bond, understanding. Either way, Ezra Hemlock mattered enough to the little wolf to have left a void, however small, in her life when he stopped coming around. She hadn't expressed it much, hadn't voiced it. Hadn't really complained when she was told they couldn't fuck anymore or really touch. But she'd missed him. He understood her in a way no one else did. At the very core of her, Ezra understood her. They were two of a kind. He understood her, whether or not she wanted him to.
She was still lost in that daze when Ezra came into her home. Not even the back of her mind seemed to click on his presence as her hand stretched out on the bed, fingers loosely gripping the pillow she clutched to herself as she struggled to breath through the burning that engulfed her. She didn't feel like this when she was drunk. Like she was drowning in everything, like her nerves were on hyper alert and every touch and sound made them scream in agony. But once she'd come back into this room she didn't have it in her to leave. Castalia's scent was so strong here, and as much as the knowledge that her last days in this home had been miserable for the little wolf, all Valerie wanted to remember was her little songbird smiling brightly. Kissing and twirling for her in her new dresses.
She saw a shadow step into the light of the doorway. The image blurred as her eyes pressed closed, dry and burning, she pushed her face into the pillow as she gave a deep, gutteral sound. She should have cared that he was seeing her like this but she couldn't. She didn't have it in her to put on that mask. The only reaction she gave to his proximity was the slightest tensing as he crashed down to the mattress beside her. It was his words that brought her back to the land of the living, her arms tightening around the pillow as if it was Castalia herself as she looked up at him. Unable to really speak. Had she been herself, she would have made a flippant comment about the last time he was in here she gave him a smack so hard upside the head she wasn't surprised Sebastien would feel it. But the fact that she just looked at him silently, that spoke volumes. "..It's hers.."

â Is it better to forgive others or seek vengeance on them?Fuck forgiveness. Forgiveness was invented by assholes who couldnât take what they dished out and wanted the people they fucked over to feel guilty about it. I donât know about you, but Iâve never felt personally happy by forgiving someone that wrongs me. But you know what does make me happy? Sprinkling wolfsbane one some asshole werewolfâs meal when heâs not looking. ..I wonder if Felix is still upset about that..
â Is it better to hurt others or let yourself be hurt? Why the hell would you let yourself be hurt? Thatâs just.. thatâs bad sense. Always strike first. If I was given the choice between hurting someone else and hurting myself, of course I would fucking hurt them. Iâm not here to be anyoneâs punching bag. Well. Out of bed. [Valerieâs a fucking liar. When it comes to people she cares about, those rare occasions, she would always rather take the brunt of the pain.]
â Is it better to work in a team or to work solo?Always work solo. You can never completely trust someone else, can you? Not to fuck you over, or not to royally fuck up. Never give someone an opportunity to knock the ground out from under you. If you canât do it on your own, then you have no fucking business doing it.

boom crash / valerie
Jackson cut his eyes to her in warning at her growl, making sure that this wasnât about to become hostile. Of course, it wouldnât, but perhaps sheâd smelled something distantly⊠He was the quiet, cool-faced rock with a wooden leg and ashy breath and clothes. Jackson reached for his cigarettes again; heâd recently changed to menthols but they made his fucking lungs burn and he didnât understand how people found them pleasant. Heâd give himself a week before it was back to regulars. He fumbled through his pockets, looking for a cigarette lighter but found a pack of matches instead. He watched her circling the monstrosity warily before he lit the match, waiting until it sparked high before sizzling down into a flame steadily crawling up the match. He lifted it to his cigarette, puffed on it a couple of times before shaking the match to a little curl of smoke. He dropped it on the concrete.
âI got a bike at the house we can take. I got several. The best youâd be on this shitshow would be a liquored up mama, cause your license got taken away. If you want a real bike Iâll get you a Triumph Bonneville if you want. Maybe somethinâ smaller. You donât strike me as a motorbike type, though. More of a slow cruiser.â He gestured towards the beautiful sports car parked in the spot her shitty old european trash car had once been.Â
He rested comfortably against the wall of her warehouse home, sunglasses on his face. Jackson whooped his praise when the bike skidded on the road and onto its side. âNow destroy itttttt!â
Jackson's deep growl only brought out another little hiss of her own, but it wasn't an aggressive sound, or an angry sound. It was simply reaction, one wild little thing reacting to another as she leaned against the side of the larger wolf. It was still chilly outside, but the cold didn't seem to bother the little wolf as he told her everything he planned on doing with the piece of shit that vampire had given her. As he called the bike a shit show, she laughed. "I'm always a liquore up mama, Jackson. It's a prerequisite of being me." She teased before she took the crowbar. Sauntering barefoot toward the bike and staring at it a minute before she started to wail on it.
The little wolf didn't seem like she would pack such a punch, she didn't seem like she would do as much damage as she was capable of. But then again, she never did. Right up until it came to the ugly sound of crashing and bending metal as she heard Jackson whooping in the background. Approaching the upended bike, barefoot on shattered glass and uncaring, she lifted the crowbar over her head once more and slammed it down hard into the bike once, twice. Before she was hitting it, over and over again. Breaking metal and leather of the seat and the mirrors. Sending the handles flying. The loud pop and hiss of punctured tires as she snarled into the wind. Each strike seeming to get more violent, nearly out of control. Dropping the crowbar by the time the bike was mangled and beginning to give the heavy, fucked up vehicle violent kicks with her bare little feet.

â Is it better to avoid pain or to survive through it? ..Youâre going to survive through it anyway, right? So I donât see why not drink a little to fucking numb it if itâs going to be there regardless of whether or not youâll survive. [This is of course emotional pain because we all know Valerie loves a good beatdown. Kinky bitch.]
â Is it better to be in the right or do the right thing?I donât know, whoâs to say what the right fucking thing is? Whatever they feel is right? Thatâs a pretty narrow spectrum. Iâd rather know Iâm right than cater to someone elses idea of good or bad.
⊠Is it better to get otherâs approval or to be proud of ones own merits? You know how easy it is to get someoneâs approval? You show them something they want and bam. They approve of you. Blah Blah Blah
Harvey got up in the mistresses face and glared at her, jaw ticking to one side as he looked from her eyes to her hair and his fingers lifted, plucking one from her head and dropping it to the floor âIâm jusâ sayinâ, people should watch their fuckinâ mouths.â
Valerie blinked up at him, not phased or startled or seeming remotely uncomfortable as he got right in her face. Glaring at her angrily. It was when he plucked a hair out of her head that she gave a snort, pushing the whiskey into his chest. âHey donât shoot the redheaded messenger. I said you were more ginger than Ron Howard.â
