Of course Blaine was nervous. He didn’t know how he could not be. He wanted everything to go so perfectly for Daniel and himself, but he also was excited. For the first time ever, there would be nothing between him and his love. No distance, no miscommunication. Just the two of them, together, show each other just how much they loved and cared for one another. It was a thought that had Blaine on cloud nine all day, and now, it was after dinner, and all the campers were tucked away in their cabins, which meant it was time for Blaine and Daniel to celebrate their anniversary. Daniel had snuck away some time in the middle of dinner, and Blaine had to walk back to their cabin by himself, and though he would rather have been with his brother, he knew that Daniel had something planned back in their cabin.

As he walked back, he smiled to himself, blushing at the thought of what was about to happen. He was nervous, but he was excited, too. He knew this was the right decision, and because of that he felt completely at peace with it. He was ready to give that piece of himself to Daniel, and as he stepped into their cabin, he was reminded again why he thought this was such a good idea, and why he loved his brother more than anyone on the planet. “Oh, Daniel,” he whispered, running into his brother’s arms and looking around the room. “Everything is beautiful,” he added, snaking his arms around his brother’s neck and pulling him forward with a kiss. “I love you,” he whispered, resting his forehead against Daniel’s.

DANIEL

The day of their anniversary drew close faster than Daniel anticipated, while at the same time seemed to take forever to get here. He was excited and also nervous as hell, so it made sense, but now that the day had finally arrived, it almost seemed like the evening would never come. As time drew closer, the more excited he got. He needed to make this perfect for Blaine. It was his boyfriends first time... that was huge, not just for him, but especially for Blaine. It was something he knew he couldn’t shrug off like he did with his first time with Oscar. No, this was special. It was so damn special.

He knew Blaine would eventually be ready, but he honest to God hadn’t expected it to be this soon. He was prepared to wait another few months, hell, maybe even a year. It would be worth the wait, Daniel knew it, because this was Blaine... this was the man he loved.

It seemed as though he put more pressure on himself than Blaine did, but for good reason, he reminded himself as he skipped out in the middle of dinner uttering a quick ‘I’ll meet you in the cabin in thirty’ to his brother. He’d driven into the nearest town when going to run an errand for the camp leaders and bought a few candles to make it more romantic than just having sex for the first time in a cabin. It wasn’t a big gesture, but when all of the candles were lit and Daniel stepped back to take a look after turning out the lights... it’s perfect, he thought to himself with a grin on his face. It was dim, but lit enough for the two to see one another clearly. Just how Daniel wanted it.

Just then, Blaine emerged from the cabin door, and Daniel knew he did good when that gorgeous smile graced his brother’s face.

Arms wrapped around Blaine’s middle and he returned the kiss pressed to his lips. Smiling, he looked into his brother’s eyes. “So... you like it, then? I-- uhm, I wanted to do something to make this a little more special. We don’t have much out here in the woods and it’s a little cheesy, but... I thought you’d appreciate it.”

Good. I’m glad you feel that way. I’d be really sad if you didn’t. Good then. Wednesday night. Wednesday we will have sex and it will be great. Perfect even. I love you, Daniel.

No. It’s not true. Don’t say that. You’re going to college. What kind of job can you have with no degree? We’ll apply together. If you want to apply somewhere, I’ll apply too and vice versa. We can find schools that we probably both like. You’re mine and I’m yours. Forever.

Wednesday? Oh, shit, alright. I wasn’t expecting it to be so soon. I feel like I have to prepare for this night, I mean, I am going to prepare for this night. Are you sure, Blaine? Because then you might regret it and if that were the case, I don’t know what I’d do.

Well, the important thing is we are here now, and we’re happy. Right? I’m happier than I’ve ever thought I could be. I know, Daniel. I know there’s no rush. I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I’m ready. Really ready. Not guilty ready, or nervous ready. I want this. I want to do this with you.
