Finally back. Hopefully nothing too drastic occurred whilst I was away. Like people messing with my games consoles.
Finally! Dude, I don't know what happened. One minute I was playing Halo, the next...there was smoke....

Don’t tell me how to feel! Don’t tell me what to do! You have no idea what’s going on in my head right now and I’m tired of people thinking I’m just being irrational. You have no idea so don’t bother standing there pretending that you do.
The only thing I was telling you to do, is something productive. But by all means, if you'd rather be stuck in your own head and emotions be my guest. I wont care again.
Labrador. He was big, white, furry and very silly.
Wait a minute, are you making a joke and saying I'm like a big Labrador?
You can move a little, just not too much that it’ll wreck the image. For example if you sit facing one direction, then swap to face another.
"Move a little, not a lot. Got it. Let's do this."
"Oh, god, I forgot to ask if I’d hurt you… I’ll heal that for you. I’m so sorry."
"Don't even worry about it. I'm serious when I say I've had far worse by my own hands. This is nothing, I'll live and be okay."
*laughs* You think I’ve managed it?
Well I was hoping.
"Have you looked in the mirror sweetheart? Doesn’t exactly scream man, per say.”
"I'm sorry, not all of us can look as butch as you. I mean, you're setting a pretty high standard there if we're using you as the standard for masculinity."
"Not quite - it’s their emotions," he motioned to himself, "empath."
"Oh...."
Wintertime Madness || Daniel & Layla
Typical Daniel. Unable to help herself, Layla found herself torn between rolling her eyes and laughing at the obvious plot her made to turn the attention of them supposedly trying to study to being all about him. It wasn’t anything new to her, in fact, she’d come to get used to it. It was comfortable and familiar and when the rest of Nightinggale was anything but that, he was exactly who she needed around. Carter and Aaron were barely around, Mason had been dodging her calls, and everyone else was still tense and on high alert after what happened. It was probably part of the reason that she was stuck working the late night shift at the shoppe even though she’d opened it earlier in the morning. A lunch break turned into a few hours and she was back at the same place, closing it up but at least this time she had company.
Putting on an easy smile and tossing her ponytail back over her shoulder, Layla watched him as he turned back towards her with that grin that left so many girls swooning where they stood and a few others wanting to slap it off his face. She’d felt the same way a time or two, it was hard to deny that, but they’d been kids back then when he came to the Havens and well, she was never anything to look at, not compared to many of the girls that resided on the island. It hadn’t stopped them from becoming friends though, bonding over sarcasm and electrokinesis when there wasn’t many others that could the same thing. A few years later and there they were, trying to study while he took advantage of her few ice cream once a shift despite the cool weather.
"Oh is that so?" With an arched brow, Layla finally laughed unable to keep a straight face even when she was trying to be serious with him. "And you think I’d do it here where I work? If you disappeared they’d for sure come here to look for you because of your undeniable love for ice cream. That’s the only reason you’re out in the middle of winter eating the stuff," she gestured with her head towards his ice cream before grinning again. "If I was going to kill you, it wouldn’t be here and it definitely wouldn’t be during finals."
He laughed right along with her, right up until he pulled a mock look of mortified shock. Dramatics were natural around her, and quite common. Though, he supposed that's how it was with any best friend. They were the person you felt like you could do stupid things around, and say things that were even worse, "So you'd draw it out into a painful death by making me take my exams before you'd put me out of my misery? Now that is the prime definition of evil." He gestured with his spoon at her, that wickedly playful grin pulling at the corners of his mouth before he stabbed quite violently into his ice cream and took a bite, ignoring that small, slightly painful wave of cold in his head so he could continue to tease her.
"So then what? You'd kill me in the classroom because you're so impatient? Maybe I shouldn't study then, just draw out the finals as I try to remember the answers." To emphasize, he reached over and closed the book, laying his arm on it so she couldn't reopen it. As was usual, it seemed their studying was turning into something of a playtime and less of what they'd actually set out to do. It was an amazement they'd actually made it to their junior year considering all the study dates that had gone awry ever since the start of them all. As far as he could remember, not even the first time they'd tried to study together had stayed on course for more than a few minutes before they we bickering and joking about something or other. He couldn't remember how he had done on that test, but it must not have been too bad since he was now a Junior. But still, it was an amazement, though it had been quite a fun journey with her to get there.
Shoving the book back towards his bag he leaned back in his chair, pulling the ice cream closer towards him near the edge of the counter, "But you know, Winter really would be a bad time to try and kill someone. What with the hard ground and all, it'd be way to much work to try and bury the body. Spring would probably be better since the ground would be pretty soft with all that rain. But then you'd probable be fighting against that rain just to get the body to a good hiding spot. What do you think?" It wasn't really a normal topic, or one that could be considered sane, but they lived on an island where everyone had special gifts that ranged from cute to deadly; so what was a little abnormal insanity among friends?
I had a dog named Danny.
Okay well that's kind of cool. What type of dog was he?
Yes, in a good way.
Excellent, I like to hear that. Not many people find me humorous.
"Yes, actually."
Really? Well alright then, it's your picture, so draw away. Is this one of those things where I can't move at all?
"It’s fine."
"Just fine huh? Would you rather it be something like this?"
"You mean isolate myself? Easier, yes, but rather lonely."
So then people are the problem? Sorry, I'm trying to do my best here without prying.
No, it doesn’t. I find it quite funny actually.
Funny in a good way?
I like Alex. Lexi was what my family used to call me when I was a little Kid. What about you do you have any nicknames?
I'm not really big on nicknames for myself. They just turn out to be Dan or Danny, which eventually turns into Danny Boy which is kind of annoying.
"We could just… do it right here. Just. Stay there. Keep reading, or… whatever you want to do."
"Okay, wait....how's this?"
