Psssst, what if I finally finished (ish) the last Dani Moonstar week piece I never finished.

This was supposed to be for day 7, interpreting it as an emotional injury she was hiding. I was thinking about Dani having to hold it together just before the krakoa era when, you know, everyone died. Also I felt like drawing something very emo, so here we are!

She ended up a bit bluer than I wanted, but oh well. It adds drama!

this is a piece I’ve been working on since August. I love the parallels of these two so goddamn much, to me they really are two sides of the same coin.

i put a fuckton of symbolism in their dichotomy here - i loved doing this so so much. This is definitely my favourite piece of the whole week.

I have a lot of work rn so I only had the time to do one day of Dani Week. I tried to make it count tho, I played around with some fun colours and background stuff. My idea was basically ‘What would it look like if Dani used her powers on herself?’

Anyway, I’m pretty happy with how this turned out and I hope you guys like it!

DANI MOONSTAR WEEK DAY 2: VALKYRIE / X-FORCE / DEATH

Day 2! I'm entranced by the idea of Dani getting kicked out of the Valkyrie club before X - Force so I wanted something that fits that vibe? Heavy inspiration from Mucha as usual, plus a subtle tarot card vibe as a vague way to allude to the "Death" theme. The idea was that one way up it looks like shes happily galivanting, the other shes falling from the sky.

Don't look too closely at that horse. Horses are scary.

Will probably be skipping the next couple days in order to work on a later piece I have better plans for, though may circle back at the end with some little doodles?
