KATYANA MY SHAYLAS Kitty's best ship. #tbh. not my favorite (at the moment. i tend to change my mind about these things) but definitely her best. Probably also Illyana's. their souls are tied together they know each other better than anyone they love each other so so much they're so important. they're top tier X-Men yuri. I love them very much.

Moonclair are peak claremont soulmateism. I think they have less consistency than other ships because of all the fucking bullshit they did with Rahne after New Mutants ended but even not in the Claremont era when they're good, they're good. I know that movie bombed and was bad and disliked but the one piece of movie synergy I would be totally on board with is canonizing that ship because they deserve it. I think despite their very present and obvious closeness, there's so much still unsaid between them and I think the way they dance around each other is so so interesting (we had some of that in Vita Ayala's NM). also can we give Dani some kisses. yeah i love em<3

Summary:

Rahne realises, a little too late, that her hands have gone all long and clawed and furry, and that her sharp nails are digging into Dani’s palms. The buzzing in her ears grows. She nearly recoils- but Dani clenches her hands tighter and looks her dead in the eyes. “I- Rahne, I’m fine, you don’t need to get the Professor, just- it’s- the bond, Rahne, just listen.” Rahne listens. She can hear something unexpected. Something… uncomfortable.
