Sometimes I feel too 'woke' to watch this sport. Like I can't fathom that SO many fellow fans are thinking that it's okay to call George Russell 'Osama Bin Russell' a nickname that besides being lowkey insulting to George also has massively racist and Islamophobic connotations given the historical context and the rise of far right extremism, anti-muslim sentiment.

beam saber arc is still one of my favourite gintama arcs but every time I watch it, it genuinely irks me that it turns into more of a shinpachi arc than an otae one. i would have loved one truly otae centered arc towards the end of the manga and we just..... never get one.

i think we as a society need to start accepting that fictional love stories need to be a bit toxic for us to go insane over them… like, sometimes you kinda need the two parties to be obsessed with each other and fucked up and willing to bring each other back from the dead instead of moving on and go to therapy i’m sorry😔
