Cats understand "naughty". In fact I think they're the only animal who understands it. Dogs know "good" and "bad" but not Naughty. Same with theft. Cats know what theft is. They know when they are thieving and you can see it on their faces. Squirrels are thieves but they don't know that. They know "take" and "have" but they don't comprehend what it is to steal. Nor do raccoons or coyotes or any species of rodent. They may participate in theft but they are ignorant of the weight of what they do, the full meaning of it. Cats know what crime is and they do it on purpose.

Gee, I don’t know. Could it have something to do with the fact that some crazed fans feel it’s reasonable to send her death threats on the internet for daring to — let’s see here — be in a consensual relationship with another adult who happens to be a professional athlete?
Really don’t know how to help people understand this, but athletes you support don’t owe you an explanation for their relationships. They don’t know you, they don’t need you to “advocate” for them, they don’t need you to point out “problematic” things about their chosen partner. They have eyes and brains, if there are problems, they will discover those things for themselves and decide whether or not they are a dealbreaker WITHOUT FAN INPUT. We aren’t privy to the inner machinations of celebrity relationships, so we need to mind our own business and not do crazy shit like send WAGs messages that suggest they aren’t good enough to be with our favourite athletes.
Also — you know who gets the vast majority of flak from fans? Women who are dating male athletes. They can’t be too hot, because then they’re full of themselves or are trying to make money off their partner’s success, but they can’t be ugly, because then they’re not beautiful enough to deserve their partner’s love. They can’t wear anything too revealing or they’re a slut begging for public attention. They can’t pursue their own business ventures or influencer lifestyle because they didn’t earn it themselves; they’re just famous because their partner makes millions of dollars a year to drive race cars, so clearly they’re using him for their own personal gain. But if they don’t work, they’re just mooching off their partner’s money. These kind of responses from fans are driven by jealousy that they will never get to be in the position to date an attractive, rich athlete.
Drivers’ partners are actually kind of in a pretty shitty position. Either they give up any plans and dreams they had about their own career or family life to follow their partner around the globe for 8-9 months of the year, or they stay home for family or work and never see their partner except for a few days here and there every month. That’s not a relationship dynamic most people are willing to be in. It would put a lot of strain on any relationship, let alone one that is constantly being picked apart by the media and fans.
If WAGs decide to participate in the social media/influencer sphere because they can afford to do so and can’t really hold a more steady, practical job with all the travelling they’re doing, people accuse them of garnering clout from their relationship. IMO, if an adult woman wants to wear expensive clothes and sell shitty organic lipstick or whatever on Instagram because she can’t get a goddamn moment of peace to do a more ‘normal’ job with all the cameras up in her and her partner’s business, why do you give a shit? All this media attention is fuelled by increased fan demand for a glimpse into our favourite athletes’ personal lives, so really, our continued insistence on caring about athletes and their relationships has created the environment that makes influencing a viable career for WAGs.

It's a shame Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is one of those parodies whose author clearly feels the source material is beneath them and thus doesn't put much thought into how they're sending it up because a Regency zombie apocalypse that properly Examines the Implications sounds like a really fun time.
Like, my guy, so much of contemporary zombie media is subtextually really about class that if you're sticking zombies in your Regency romance and completely failing to draw a line between the class-driven subtext the former and the class-driven text of the latter, you are a hack.
