WHEN YOUR ELABORATE STRATEGY DOESN'T WORK IN REAL LIFE.
The ever-elusive 30 pack of PBR. (at Heritage Hills Wine & Spirits)
30-racks are dumb common in New England and upstate NY… down here in Austin (a place that by all rights should TOTALLY have them) they are totally unknown of.
God I miss 30 racks.
wait.. austin doesnt have 30 racks? WHAT.

There was just totally a (real!) wedding proposal on the track during a boys vs. girls scrimmage during Rollercon. As much as I hate knee-down starts, I can support this one.
this was so great!
my proposal/fiance = WIN. couldn’t have imagined it being any better than this.
THIS WAS YOU?!?!?!?!?! ZOMG!!!!!!!!!!!

So I can’t afford to go to Rollercon, but passes are nontransferrable and nonrefundable. So I swallow the debt in anticipation of my tax return and commit to going…..
And today on facebook I see that they’ve found ways to accomodate MVP passholders who can’t attend?!
FUCK. THANKSFORTHEFUCKINGNOTICE. FUCK.
As far as I know you've always been allowed to defer your pass to the next year. At least for the past two years.
We are the girls with anxiety disorders, filled appointment books, five-year plans. We take ourselves very, very seriously. We are the peacemakers, the do-gooders, the givers, the savers. We are on time, overly prepared, well read, and witty, intellectually curious, always moving. We pride ourselves on getting as little sleep as possible and thrive on self-deprivation. We drink coffee, a lot of it. We are on birth control, Prozac, and multivitamins. We are relentless, judgmental with ourselves, and forgiving to others. We never want to be as passive-aggressive are our mothers, never want to marry men as uninspired as our fathers… We are the daughters of the feminists who said, ‘You can be anything,’ and we heard, ‘You have to be everything.’

Waking up early but then realizing it's a Saturday
This Saturday is my last Saturday morning practice ever... this will be me, soon.
Get in loser, we’re getting health insurance.
Heading for the South
I sucked it up and booked a trip out for Steve and I to see my grandparents in Mississippi two weeks from now... Starkville, MS here I come! We're stopping in Austin on the way back to see some friends, eat a lot, and check up on Steve's properties. Send me recommendations plz. We're there for about 36 hours (Saturday 10am - Sunday 6pm). Seriously contemplating a trip out to Salt Lick, and I want to visit Shangri-la and Eastside Showroom again.
I can't wait to have swamp ass for four days straight (I'm only half joking)!
Steve and I went fishing yesterday... He was king of the baitfish (I think he got about 10 mackerel) and I got these two keeper calico bass! Dinner was excellent. Stoked to have my license again, I'm looking forward to lots of fishing during funemployment
