But he can't get out of pushing Luo Binghe into the Abyssal Labyrinth, no matter how hard he tries. :( No matter how many times he goes back. And he goes back so many times, because Shen Yuan is a disaster millennial human being. He fucks up, he realizes where he went wrong, he goes back and does it right. But now two of their Peak Lords have married demon royalty and also given clear signs that their first loyalty is to their spouses rather than their sect. And another Peak Lord has Very Famous Beef with one of those spouses. And Cang Qiong has enemies on both sides of the border.
Heavenly demons are immune to a lot of things, but not to everything. Finding something fatal is a joke (what few exist have probably been destroyed by SQQ already), but something that can put him out of commission to tell anyone what really happened? Difficult but manageable, and also helps make sure SQQ will be running more on emotion than reason when all the evidence is pointing at his sect sibling.
Shang Qinghua, however, isn't buying it. Sure, LQG never made an appearance in the book, but that doesn't mean Airplane didn't have a character concept! Plus they were head disciples and then Peak Lords together! SQH knows who LQG is, thankyouverymuch, and This Bullshit is not who LQG is.
Cue Spy vs Spy crossed with a soap opera, as SQH and the masterminds of the plot work to sabotage, undermine, and expose each other at every step while Cucumber is losing his mind over his 'comatose' husband, a deeply wounded Liu Qingge has up and disappeared on everyone, and Liu Mingyan just might finish off her favorite ship with her own hands if anything happens to her brother.
(When Liu Qingge reappears, of course, he has a cure for Luo Binghe's condition in hand and if that brat doesn't clear his name as soon as he wakes up, Liu Qingge really will attempt his murder this time.)
