Yeah. Who didn’t see this coming? I won’t go into a whole long detailed list or anything about why I’m leaving baaaasically for good, but it’ll take a lot to get me to come back.

It was that he didn’t like being part of Aries’ shady side business. He didn’t want to be a prostitute. All his supplies had been taken, anyways, so there wasn’t a chance he could summon one of his pacts to get him out of there.

{†} Nodding, Hibi leaned in to complete the kiss, keeping it slow and peaceful. He was too sore and achy to do much of anything else. With a bit of maneuvering, he was able to get himself pressed against Niles’ chest, a much more comfortable spot that he’d had during the mission.

“I missed you,” he whispered, “I missed you a lot...” Being without Niles for such a long time made him realize exactly how much of his life revolved around the outlaw. And while it was a tiny bit scary to think that he needed someone so deeply, he knew Niles needed him too.

{†} This. This was Hibi’s element. He wasn’t particularly good with people, and especially not large crowds, so he’d avoided these get-togethers originally. However, his curiosity at being accepted won over, and he found himself attending.

And he’d loved it.

So there he was, enjoying yet another meeting, when he spotted the wall-flower. He vaguely knew who the person was, some sort of royal child from the Nohrian side of the army, but he knew fearful body language like the back of his hand. Slithering through the crowd, nodding a few hellos to the greetings called to him, he made his way to the stranger.

“Why so blue? Surely you couldn’t have pissed the spirits off badly enough for them to curse you.”
