My FIRST pride month as an out and proud non binary person with a (sort of) girlfriend!

Happy pride month, whoever you are. Doesn't matter if you're out or not. You're a part of this amazing community and that's more than enough reason to celebrate all year round!

And for those of us are still in homophobic backgrounds (such as yours truly), honestly I know how hard it is. Sittimg at the dinner table while your mom talks nonstop about how disgusting the LGBTQ+ community is, all the while calling you "she", misgendering you. And you can't correct her because you just know she'll kick you out of the house. You can't even cut your freakin' hair and are forced to wear girly clothes you don't feel comfortable in. It's just so fucking sad I wanna cry.

Okay, I guess I was just focusing on my problems for a minute there.

My cousin was given homework, told him to write down social vices. He wrote gayness. I honestly wanted to correct him, but he'd go tell my aunt who would blow the whole thing out of proportion.

Parts of the world have always seen wrong in people being comfortable in their own skins, happy with their pronouns and the people they date, being who they were born to be. Those parts need to freakin' get over themselves.

The truth is, if it is how you feel, it is who you are. And no homophobic/transphobic a-holes can change that.
