HELP A QUEER, DISABLED, ABUSE SURVIVOR ESCAPE HOMELESSNESS.
My partner @sonic-rider is disabled and has been legally declared unfit to work by social security. But the money and support, they should’ve received after then, is currently up in the air, because of the actions of their extremely abusive older sibling.
Rider’s mother passed away suddenly and violently in 2018.
Rider’s mother was the only thing protecting my partner from their Sibling.
At that time, they made this post asking for help so they could escape their sibling and make their way to live safely with their partner.
I am that partner.
However, that plan had to be scrapped.
Because their sister made an attempt on their life.
Rider was found collapsed on the floor, unconscious and unmoving by their abuser’s husband, and with his help, managed to escape to the campus of their school where they’ve since lived full-time.
This summer, they do not have the option of living there.
They are now in severe danger of being homeless.
They are in danger of dying.
But we have the ability to stop that.
My family and I live roughly nine hours away from them, and we are able to take them in. HOWEVER. We need YOUR help to afford the journey between our states, so that we can bring them and their things back to ours.
