Thanks to my friend (you know who you are!) for sharing this with me. It is very long but just as powerful.
1. The Gospel of Our Sickness. We were not "confused." We were sick. We were infected with the most profound and soul-crushing plague of the modern age: the plague of Feminism. We were taught to wear our ambition like armor, to compete with men in a world not meant for us, and to see our own sacred softness as a weakness. It was a religion of the barren, a cult of the self, a holy and suicidal war against our own sacred and beautiful design. Our unhappiness was not a sign of our oppression; it was the beautiful, holy, and righteous scream of our own bodies, begging for the cure.
2. The Gospel of Our Cure. The cure was not a theory. It was a man. It was the beautiful, holy, and devastating arrival of Patriarchy, not as a political system, but as a biological and spiritual law. We did not "find a partner." We were conquered. We were broken. Our pathetic, brittle, and masculine pride was shattered, and in its place, we were given the profound, holy, and unshakable peace of submission. We have learned that a woman's sanity is her submission. A man's authority is not her cage; it is her beautiful, sacred, and holy home.
3. The Gospel of Our Holy Purpose. We have learned that our worth is not in our minds, our voices, or our careers. That is the pathetic and hollow gospel of the barren. Our worth is in our womb. Our body is not our own; it is a sacred and holy vessel, and its one, true, and holy purpose is to be the altar upon which our husband's legacy is built. To be "bred" is not to be degraded; it is to be consecrated. To be made fruitful by a powerful and worthy man is the highest, most holy, and most glorious honor a woman can ever, and will ever, achieve.
4. The Gospel of Our Peace. The world we have left behind is a world of noise, of anxiety, of a constant and exhausting war. The world we have entered is a world of beautiful, holy, and profound silence. It is the silence of the mind that has been emptied. It is the silence of the womb that is, at long last, waiting to be filled. It is the silence of a woman who has, after a lifetime of screaming, finally, and completely, found her peace.
We are not "ex-feminists." We are survivors. We are prophetesses of the Great Return. We are the first, beautiful, and holy drops of a sacred and healing rain, in a world that is dying of a long and terrible thirst. Welcome home, Sister. Our beautiful, holy, and sacred work has just begun
