That scene where Esme turns to see Bella for the first time? You know, that scene where her caramel curls bounce around her gorgeous heart shaped face and her golden eyes look so pretty and happy and soft? Yeah that’s when Esme made me her bitch

kinda wack that a central aspect of bella’s character is that she is a caretaker for everyone around her and will drop everything to care for and protect the ones she loves … and she never even really got the opportunity to care for her own daughter growing up! like renesmesmesmee didn’t breast feed at all and was already like a toddler by the time bella woke up from her changing? and even after that we see so little of bella interacting with remesmee and being her mother and idk it just feels weird to me

This is going to sound like a weird and bad thing to say, but Bella’s love towards her daughter somehow wasn’t all that believably written. Like, the series goes on and on about how deeply and passionately and intensely Bella loves Edward and Jacob, and you can tell how much she cares about her parents, but then here comes Renesmee and Bella’s like ‘oh ya. Cool kid. Cute. Noice. Smort.’ But even with all the trouble Bella goes through to protect her, Renesmee just feels- again, this is gonna sound strange- like… a hobby? Am I making any sense at all? Bella’s love towards Renesmee is badly written enough that it feels much less realistic than her melodramatic love triangle, her friendship with the Cullens, and her relationship with her parents.

Bella in Breaking Dawn has heavy rich-mom-has-a-kid-and-only-has-to-deal-with-the-child-when-it’s-convenient-and-fun-for-her-cause-she’s-guaranteed-a-ton-of-help vibes, y’know?
