Teach girls it’s okay to not want kids. Or even like them. That they can be functional people without being a mother. That deciding into their 30s they want kids isnt bad and they’re not “too old.” Teach girls that they don’t have to sell their youth to kids. Because motherhood isn’t for everyone. And we need to stop acting like it is.

Also teach girls that motherhood is not exclusively for those who can have biological children.

Teach them that their value is not in their reproductive organ’s function or lack thereof.

Just because a mother didn’t grow her child doesn’t mean she is any less a mother.

Nearly three years in and I still have to say this to myself. Relapsing is apart of recovery and it is OK... you recovered once, you can do it again.
