@darquingdragon
see unfortunately I have this condition where if I am not explicitly told that I am a part of the ingroup then I will assume I must be part of the outgroup

āmake yourselves impossible to ignore. 10,000 signatures on twitter is a lot but 10 unique personal emails is enough to derail an entire council session.ā
I was in a city council meeting last week about defunding the police and one of the council members mentioned multiple times that sheād been inundated with calls and emails all that day saying to defund the police.
[ID: Two screenshots of a twitter thread by alex flanigan, anti-fascist @Coff33Detective from June 12, 2020 beginning at 11:25 AM that reads: hi! i work in local government and community management, and iām here to tell you a secret: it is like, really, really easy to overwhelm the people who work in your local government. especially right now. especially on things they can actionably do or impact.
you may not know this, but i bet your city or town or municipality has a website. i bet that website has some contact forms or email addresses on it. i bet you can use them to put together a message in about 5 minutes! i bet itās almost as easy as signing a national petition.
which is to say: iām noticing, like most other people, that the national level discussion on really important and long overdue issues is flagging. but the internet and news cycle is not the only battleground, and you will be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is toā
āfight those battles at home, on your own turf, with much more immediate impact, and they are so, so important.
I am begging you: make my job, and the jobs of people like me, difficult right now. flood us with demands. make yourselves impossible to ignore. 10,000 signatures on twitter is a lot but 10 unique personal emails is enough to derail an entire council session. End ID]
Iāve been a city council observer with the League of Women Voters for nearly a year, and I have witnessed the following:
A few guys voicing their anxiety about speeding on a street where their children play and suggesting a radar speed sign. Despite catching all of two meetings where this was mentioned, I walked back home one day andāyepāthere was a radar speed sign up.
A persistent force of 3-5ish loud residents coming to zoning and council meetings because they did not want a drive through style restaurant moving into a particular area where there were already major issues with traffic congestion and safety. This eventually resulted in a Chik-fil-a having its planning proposal shot down by council such that the lot is now likely to house an Aldi. I am getting low cost groceries instead of bigotry chicken in my neighborhood because of a D&D partyās worth of regular speakers.
A turnout of residents shouting down an attempt to reduce the amount of funding for the community Juneteenth celebration until Council backed down. One meeting. Roughly a dozen people + their kids speaking about the significance of the holiday. The celebration ended up having its full funding restored.
In my experience, it is incredibly easy to bully local politicians and get some sort of results, especially in small municipalities. If you have something that you want to see happen at the local level, seriously try to contact your local officials and see what you can make happen.
I single-handedly got them to double the number of chickens you are allowed to keep in my former town.

Putting the link in the post.
As someone in a relationship with a Hawaiian shirt wearing trans dude who will, ah, do me right, my initial assumption was completely correct.

If you read interviews with homicide cops, two things quickly become clear
It is really not all that hard to get away with murder. A basic amount of foresight and prep will get rid of enough evidence that the police either won't find the killer or will be unable to make the charge stick.
Despite this, most murders do get solved, because someone who decides that murder is the solution to their problems is probably not the kind of person to be levelheaded and careful enough to avoid getting caught.
I think something very similar is true of sockpuppet accounts. It's not that hard to make a convincing sockpuppet. However, people almost always make sockpuppets as a way of defending their egos, of making it look like they have more support than they actually do. And this passionate defense of someone the sockpuppet ostensibly doesn't know and has no reason to care about is a dead giveaway. So if you want to validate a sockpuppet you have to lose an argument to it. You have to get owned. Once it makes you look like an idiot, basically no one will ever suspect it again.
Unfortunately, by posting this, I've burned my only chance to actually do it. From now on, whenever you see me getting dunked on, you'll assume it's staged sockpuppet validation. and you'd be right. i have never lost an argument on this website. every single one was staged. i did not get owned. i did not get owned.
im reading about cowboy phrases and sayings and like 95% of them are just solid life advice
like idk how accurate these are but somehow they manage to be both peak shitposting humor and genuinely helpful suggestions
fuck self-help books and therapy, all i need to make it in life is my trusty Cowboy Tipsā¢
From observation, another one would seem to be āif you have to get off your horse to do it, let someone else take care of itā
something cool about queering your idea of sex is that you can walk out of a heavy make out session feeling like you had the rawest sex of your life. you can be sitting close at a bar kissing them and maybe youāve found a way to sit so your knee is discreetly between their thighs and feeling the pleasure it gives them and then feeling them give that pleasure to you. you can be looking each other in the eye and you can feel them inside you from that alone. like you want to tear their clothes off and are hungry for the feeling of their skin and their closeness but even just this feels like heaven, feels connected to them in the deep place where pleasure comes from.
a list of things that are sex if youāre gay enough about it and you want it to be:
feeling their desirous gaze on you while you put in drink orders at the bar
holding hands on the way home from the date and it feels like a foreshadowing of what youāre going to do to each other when you get there
heavy breathing on the phone when theyāre touching themself to the sound of your voice
grinding in a weird position where youāre both like ???? why does this feel so good????
literally just eye contact
āWhen I was a dominatrix, I once rubbed balloons all over a man for seventy-five dollars. He wouldāve called it sex. I wouldāve called it work. It was mutually consensual, and I think we were both correct in our assessment.
If your sex is balloons, if it is blowing raspberries on your loverās belly, if it happens fully clothed ir in furry costumes, if it happens in a group or alone ā give it the same gravity, the same reverence or irreverence as all the tiresome scenes of heterosexual penetration we all grew up reading. ⦠There is no marginal erotic unless you sideline it.ā

Berry picking. We call them blƄbƤr, "blueberries", in Swedish, but I've understood that they are different from American blueberries and are called bilberries in English?
Iām just now finding out Anne Frank was bi??? OMG
Yeah okay, those edits were made by her dad, a cishet person - and also her dad, a Holocaust survivor, who would have been brutally aware that when the diary was first published in freakinā 1947, had he included anything which people could use to demonize his daughter or tar her as some kind ofĀ āpervertā, it would prevent the message he was trying to send about the horrors of the Holocaust and the heroism of his daughter from being properly understood and accepted the way he hoped.
That isnāt fair. It isnāt just. But it is reality. If Otto Frank had let this be included in the published version, thereās a large chance the homophobic backlash would have prevented the book from reaching the audience it did and spreading the message it needed to. It was NINETEEN. FORTY. SEVEN. The Holocaust had ended TWO YEARS AGO. The acceptance of LGBT identities was basically nonexistent. Otto Frank made a decision based on the time and place he was living in, about what the world at that time was and wasnāt ready to accept.Ā
Let me say this as bluntly as I can - I am a bisexual Jewish girl and I would have made the same decision Otto Frank did. Making sure Anne Frank was unambiguously seen as sympathic and heroic was more important. Making sure people werenāt sidetracked from the main issue of the Holocaust was more important. He shouldnāt have had to make that decision, without doubt. Anne Frankās sexuality (however she would have identified in modern terms) shouldnāt be considered relevant to her status as a hero or a sympathetic victim. But in 1947, it undoubtedly would have been.
Otto Frank survived Auschwitz and lost his entire family (a wife and two teenage daughters)Ā to the horrors of the Holocaust. He hoped that publishing his daughterās diary would spread awareness and sympathy for the victims of the Holocaust. If he had to make sacrifices to do that - well frankly, so fucking be it. I donāt know who alive today has the right to judge him.Ā
Letās also look at this thread from a queer Jewish person who brings up the fact that ANNE FRANK EDITED HER DIARY HERSELF
i think its also important to note that like. hmm.
im bisexual and i had experiences like that, kissing other girls at sleepovers specifically, and it not only took me another half a decade to start identifying as bi, but all the girls i did that with grew up to be straight women.
having those kinds of feelings and experiences at that age may mean nothing about your sexual orientation.
Im begging queer goyim to shut the fuck up about the holocaust lmao
Yes maybe Frank was queer.
She was still killed for being Jewish. We do not know how she would have identified, because she was killed because she was a Jew. She was not your blorbo, she was not a fictional character, and itās disgusting to talk about her possible queerness while erasing the aspect of her identity that got her killed, namely that she was Jewish, especially as antisemitic attacks against Jews are at a record high. You canāt talk about Anne Frank without talking about her Jewishness. And you should go read People Love Dead Jews right now.
I think we should just take Anne frank away from goyim permanently.
