So I'm on a really really tight budget but want to do something special for my partner. Any creative ideas?
Well what does your partner like? And whatâs the occasion? Do you want gift ideas or date ideas?
Off the top of my head with no further detailsâ cheap gift ideas: -Check out local thrift shops/consignment stores/flea markets/yard sales for cheap finds: clothes, books, records, a cute jewelry box, etc -make them a mix cd with a detailed track list with explanations of each song, pick a song that reminds you of important moments in y'allâs relationship-if you can draw then draw them a picture, of the two of you, of their favorite place, of their dog, etc. -make a scrapbook of all the places you want to travel together and things you want to do there, leave lots of blank pages so you can add to it -buy a disposable camera and a photo album. Spend a weekend filling the camera up, send it out to get developed. Continue to fill this album up. Most people dont have physical pictures anymore so itâll be nostalgic. -buy them a set of a few cactus and succulents, theyâre not only cute but itâs a living thing you can keep alive together
Cheap Date ideas: -find somewhere nearby to go hiking, outdoor activities tend to be free. turn your cell phones off, enjoy each otherâs company. -look up local museums and see what days they do special free entry (for students etc). That way yall can go on a free admission night and walk around and enjoy Art (my favorite date) -go to Home Depot and walk around the store and pick out all the appliances and furnishings and accents for your future dream house -if thereâs a dollar theatre in your town go see a cheap movie, make out in the back row, eat popcorn til your stomach hurts -do you have a gas stove? Buy marshmallows and all the fixings for smores and make them in the kitchen. Build a blanket fort in your living room. Watch scary movies together. -go to the mall and play dress up: pick out outfits for each other for a fancy date, even if you canât buy the clothes and even if there is no date. Itâs fun to just pretend. -go to Costco or whatever grocery store and hold hands and eat free samples of food and people watch. Pick up a few ingredients to make a dinner at home together. -plan a short road trip, to the closest town over, to wherever you can afford to go and want to explore. Walk down streets you donât recognize, eat cheap food from a local restaurant, buy a souvenir.

Cute Date Idea | Spy Date
What youâll need
Spy Outfits| Formal Business Attire is a classic, I elected to both of us wearing suits. Could also use disguises
Disguises | Fake mustaches, hats, long coats, makeup, ect
Mission | Does not have to be elaborate
A cutie with a spirit of adventure
Step One
Write them a mission assignment. Copy tropes from spy movies/shows. I used a mixture of Archer, James Bond, and Video Games. The mission should be simplistic, and it really could be anything. Iâm taking my date to laser tag then dinner afterward.Â
Step Two
Deliver the mission assignment. Perhaps use a friend to deliver it or even disguise yourself to deliver the âintelligence.â Act very secretive.
Step Three
Go on your date! Make sure your mission is one that can be failed. Having an incentive is always cute. My âintelligenceâ is going to be a love letter. Even if he doesnât win at tag he has a chance to âseduce the targetâ at dinner.
Happy dating!

36 Questions for Intimacy
Over 20 years ago, psychologist Arthur Aron (and others - see link to the paper below) did a study to see if he could make two strangers fall in love in a lab. Later, two participants in the study were married, and all the participants were invited to the wedding.
The study was simple. The participants were to ask the following 36 questions of each other, and answer in turn, and then stare into one anotherâs eyes for four minutes.
This is awesome. Outside of the lab, this could be a great way to help lovers open up with questions that may not have come up naturally for some time. Iâve been married ten years, and I want to do this on our next date night.
Set I
1. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
2. Would you like to be famous? In what way?
3. Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?
4. What would constitute a âperfectâ day for you?
5. When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?
6. If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30-year-old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want?
7. Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die?
8. Name three things you and your partner appear to have in common.
9. For what in your life do you feel most grateful?
10. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
11. Take four minutes and tell your partner your life story in as much detail as possible.
12. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?
Set II
13. If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future or anything else, what would you want to know?
14. Is there something that youâve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why havenât you done it?
15. What is the greatest accomplishment of your life?
16. What do you value most in a friendship?
17. What is your most treasured memory?
18. What is your most terrible memory?
19. If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why?
20. What does friendship mean to you?
21. What roles do love and affection play in your life?
22. Alternate sharing something you consider a positive characteristic of your partner. Share a total of five items.
23. How close and warm is your family? Do you feel your childhood was happier than most other peopleâs?
24. How do you feel about your relationship with your mother?
Set III
25. Make three true âweâ statements each. For instance, âWe are both in this room feeling ⊠â
26. Complete this sentence: âI wish I had someone with whom I could share ⊠â
27. If you were going to become a close friend with your partner, please share what would be important for him or her to know.
28. Tell your partner what you like about them; be very honest this time, saying things that you might not say to someone youâve just met.
29. Share with your partner an embarrassing moment in your life.
30. When did you last cry in front of another person? By yourself?
31. Tell your partner something that you like about them already.
32. What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?
33. If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why havenât you told them yet?
34. Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? Why?
35. Of all the people in your family, whose death would you find most disturbing? Why?
36. Share a personal problem and ask your partnerâs advice on how he or she might handle it. Also, ask your partner to reflect back to you how you seem to be feeling about the problem you have chosen.
Stare into each otherâs eyes for four minutes.

the signs in love
this is kind of a mixture of the signs in love + being in love with the signs \ **check sun + venus, possibly moon depending on the person**
aries - youâre always in their mind, thoughts of you whirling around within love hearts and chest-bursting emotion. thereâs static when you touch; your wandering hands slowly melting their heart. youâll never quite understand them, but if they love you, you feel it in your bones, and in the deepest depths of your soul.
taurus - youâre opening up to them, making them feel needed. theyâre restless when theyâre with you, only ever wanting to be as close to you as possible. they want to feel and see all of you, nothing is better than loving completely. quickly youâll know all of each other, a bittersweet romance.
gemini - are you worried theyâll leave? just watch them. notice them glancing at you constantly, making sure youâre still there. theyâre just as worried as you are. the more they learn about you the harder they fall, never wanting to leave your side. clouds of green often dust their vision, which youâll never see, but another look into your eyes makes them feel invincible. the ruler of mercury is surprisingly bad at expressing love, but theyâll do all they can to make you understand.
cancer - you try to unlearn it, you try to avoid your obsession over them. their soft skin, the way they touch you. they have a power over you, a sickly sweet power. and you know they wonât take advantage of that, theyâll make sure youâre warm and safe, that youâre never without love. theyâll wrap you up in clouds and give you the most perfect mugs of tea. theyâll know all of you, and youâll be happier than youâve ever been.
leo - your typical friends to lovers relationship, you grow close quickly and spend the last weeks of your friendship thinking of how their lips will feel on yours, and they spend them wondering how you taste. your wonderfully awkward first kisses and slowly but surely learning how each other thinks and works are so, so sweet. they support you, and love every inch of you. theyâre more dedicated than anyone youâve ever met, and god are you proud of them.
virgo - a sweetly frustrating person to be with. despite differences, you know you always just want to hold them. silly arguments scatter your visits, always starting and ending with quick kisses and lots of compliments. someone who can retain their mysterious qualities regardless of how well you know them. a romance full of never-forgotten anniversaries and birthdays, a romance of knowing the other wholly and completely.
libra - a person you fit with like a puzzle piece, every trait complimenting each other, and your bodies lay together perfectly. a love-song kind of love, full of soft melodies and perfect notes. loving them could be short and sweet, or could last for years and years. donât mess with them because they wonât hesitate to drop you, but as long as you treat them right, you will have a fairytale romance. youâll immediately work with each other, people thinking youâve been together for years even if itâs only been a month.
scorpio - the kind of love that makes you sit back and think âthis is what iâve been waiting for.â a patient and kind love, full of soft touches and intuitively knowing. some things become forgotten, but thatâs okay. you can find a true home in this love, stuck thinking about them, stuck feeling warm whenever theyâre around. jealousy might ensue, which can easily blow up in your face. either a lot of problems or none at all. being in love with a scorpio can be an absolutely wonderful experience, and probably one that you donât want to end.
sagittarius - a love full of memories and adventures. someone you might feel like is a friend rather than a lover, but you donât particularly mind. a relationship full of late night travels, either just to a nearby field to see the stars or a road trip that takes hours just to get ice cream. youâll have plenty to talk about when youâre in love with a sagittarius, and you might not always be on their mind but everything reminds them of you. it can be hard to love a sagittarius fully, they donât like to show all of themselves quickly by any means, but if you show that youâre okay with putting in effort, theyâll keep you by their side.
capricorn - can you even tell when a capricorn is in love? they can obsess, but some close themselves off. it can be a terrifying feeling for this sign, but their clumsiness and messy words when near you is a great signal that they have feelings for you. they act like they donât, but all of their thoughts revolve around you. youâll probably have to confess to your feelings first, but once you do, everything will fall into place. itâs rare that a capricorn gives up on a relationship.
aquarius - sometimes you can question whether or not an aquarius actually has the ability to fall in love, but they definitely do. most of the time they donât even realize theyâre in love until they have to snap their teeth shut to keep the words from spilling out, often causing them to go into some kind of crisis. youâll probably know before they do. theyâll be ready to commit, ready to spend all of their time with you. once an aquarius is ready to dedicate everything to you and willing to put effort into the relationship and willing to know all of you, theyâre in deep and might never get back out.
pisces - almost a childish love, easily full of awkwardness and not quite knowing what youâre doing. your minds, hearts, and souls intertwine so easily but physicalities can cause problems. your words mean the world to them, and while quality time is valuable, telling them how much you mean to them and how much you love them will get you further than anything else. they thrive on reassurance and random acts of kindness. loving a pisces is never boring, mostly comfortable, and can be a relationship with your best friend.
Stare into each otherâs eyes for four minutes.

âa Capricorn/Aquarius cusp ending a relationshipâ
Aesthetic - Capricorn/Aquarius cuspÂ
January 19-22 - The Cusp of Mystery & Imagination
Capricorn-Aquarius Cusp
Those born under this cusp will make you work and put forth a genuine effort, to get to know them. Once you get a taste you are drawn to them like a moth to a flame. You see a flicker of something behind their curtain and you just have to know more. With what little tidbits you have seen, you immediately form some sort of elaborate story hoping to make sense of it all or at least satisfy your curiosity until more is revealed. Because they are known as the âCusp of Mystery and Imaginationâ, one would have to ask if they would ever let you behind the curtain at all. A Capricorn/Aquarian seems to be able to seamlessly combine the serious and traditional traits that come with being a Capricorn with the creativity and curiosity that drive an Aquarius. They can take anything, break it down into its most simplest form then put it back together just to see how it regroups. They are perceptive and methodical, so every detail is noticed and every avenue explored. No stone will ever be left unturned and never stop with mastering one subject. If given the chance many Capricorn/Aquarians would be lifelong students, learning everything they can from any outlet available. Those born under this sign are proud of their achievements and rightfully so. Thanks to their Aquarian side, they have a patience that not many signs in the zodiac possess. When you couple this with the Capricorn ambition, practicality and discipline â you have a person who see a need, set an object and follow through to completion. The only thing that can hinder their growth or ability to be is their inability to let criticism roll off their back. The lack of understanding from those around them is sometimes seen as a personal failure. When they find someone who does understand them, whether it is just in part or as a whole, they never let that person go. While many are captivated by the intrigue of a Capricorn/Aquarian, once they get to know them, they may be turned off by their desire to maintain high standards and their bossy demeanor. If their Capricorn side is dominant, the bossy demeanor may seem dictator-ish. If it is Aquarian, it may seem like a critic. If you can appreciate that they have a vision on how they want or think things should be, then you are one step closer to understanding the method to their madness. If you are born under this cusp, you know that âmadnessâ is another word for your creativity. You are deeply visual and may either create sculptures, paint or write creatively. When you speak, you are likely to do so by using words that creates a picture, allowing the others involved to see and feel exactly what you do. This may be another reason why you unknowingly command the attention of others. They get caught up in your world, maybe even dream world depending on the topic of conversation but they want more, they want to be a part of it. Though you are well liked and travel in many social circles, you have problems in the romance department. You embody many of the characteristics that others look for in a significant other. You are funny, attractive and loyal but your harsh and sometimes overly critical tendencies begin to turn others off. You appreciate your lover, respect being in a relationship but sometimes your independence and narrow-mindedness over rule the intimacy and romantic needs of your lover. You are not a bad person and more often than not, when they leave you they are still friends with you but you lack the needed perception to pick up on your loversâ needs. Relationships are not for everyone and do not come with a manual. You love to love but it isnât a priority, nothing wrong with that. When you find someone, someone worthy of all you have to offer, just try and keep in mind that they have needs and dreams they may want to share with you, not go at alone. Unless you happen to find another Capricorn/Aquarian that is⊠though if you stumble across a Cancer/Leo or a Scorpio/Sagittarian, you might be able to make things work. The top ten things to remember about the inspired Capricorn/Aquarian: 1) As visionaries of the Zodiac, they are usually involved and interested in the betterment of world around them. You may see many as volunteers or in some other philanthropic form. 2) They are social, in many ways. The common, many friends and people surrounding them as well as socially conscious. They are compassionate towards the problems around them and the problems globally. Being a friend will keep you informed as well. Being informed means taking action and they like taking action. 3) They are brilliant. Some say their genius even borderlines insanity with how driven and focused they can be. They are not egotistical about it but they are self confident. They know that they know whatever it is they know and you would be hard pressed to find any fault in their knowledge. 4) They work. Whether it is back breaking or a mental challenge, they will give it 200%. They need to master it, breathe it and live it. Work, causes, education and sometimes loveâŠthey are the first ones in and the last ones out. 5) Quality is absolutely paramount in their life. They demand high standards and the best quality in everything they associate themselves with. They are stubborn and steadfast but if it is good enough for them, it likely good enough for royalty. It will certainly be good enough for you. 6) Being so singularly focused on maintaining quality and knowledge, they often become narrow minded in the sense that the world around them falls to the wayside. Tunnel vision is probably a better description. It is compelling; they have no choice because it is so ingrained within them that it is natural and second nature. 7) That focus holds them back as much as it propels them forward. They set goals and achieve them at all costs especially if it benefits someone else. They are responsible and dependable to you can rest assured that it is done, done well and be everlasting. 8) Once they get an idea in their head, they are off to the races. This opens the door wide for their envy invoking rebellious streak and their unique way of breaking all the rules without so much as breaking sweat. If you happen to be along for the ride, you have a story to tell the grandchildren. 9) All of the above make them intriguing and enigmatic. People who do not even know who they are are drawn to them when they randomly meet. People want to meet them, surround themselves with them and be like them. 10) Though the positive outweigh the negative, they have problems with matters of the heart. They need someone who understands, truly understands their need for freedom and creativity. Relationships start off well but end badly and they are left alone. Which is okay with them but that hole left behind doesnât just fill itself. If you are in, you must be completely in or nothing at all.
