name: Sarah age: 21 height: 5’6 The first picture is around late 2011/early 2012, and the second is just a few days ago in July 2014! At my highest (306) my measurements were 48/40/59, now (194) they are currently at 38/30/45.
My diet strategy has been to stop looking at it as a diet & eat things in moderation - over time, you stop wanting a lot of the ‘bad’ stuff. I mainly focus on protein and low carb, but I don’t really keep track of it as well as I should! I haven’t been doing any sort of structured fitness routine, but now that I’m nearing my goal weight (and it’s a lot easier on my joints to do so), I am going to start incorporating it.

Every time I make progress pics I’m like woahhh that was really me? I remember the constant discomfort and back pain and shortness of breath but I’m surprised every time by how big I really was.
Left - 2011 230lbs , a couple years before I actually started losing weight Middle - summer of 2013 160-170lbs, a year or so into my fitness journey Right - summer 2014 144lbs, 2 years into my journey.
There have been lots of ups and down emotionally and physically but every day I try to work at better myself. If I get off track I know I will always come back because my health and fitness has become a priority. I just wish that darn extra skin would disappear! Haha.

Update stomach progress Top 1/18/14 Bottom 8/07/14 I have 37 lbs to lose until my final goal weight! I'm hoping I will reach it by my birthday (November 6th)

Blueberry muffins :)
202 calories and 3.5 net carbs per serving!!
Recipe:
2 cups almond flour 1 stick butter (melted) 4 eggs 2 teaspoons baking powder Stevia to taste 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients.
Add butter, eggs, stevia, and vanilla. Mix well!
Fold in your blueberries. Pour batter into greased muffin tins.
Bake at 350 degrees for 14-20 minutes. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before removing from pan.
Butter them up and enjoy :)

If you are ketogenic, you NEED 3 to 5 GRAMS of sodium daily. You all know from experience that your body does not retain water nearly as much as when we were carb beasts, and electrolytes go where the water goes. You also are not secreting much insulin, so your kidneys will excrete sodium rather than resorb it. (All this is what is mainly responsible for what we call the “keto flu”)
If you’re feeling crappy, you most likely need salt.
