"Okay, I love you, bye,” The clarinetist - Mel - said, before hanging up. She then sighed, and sat down on the front steps, resting her elbows on her knees and cupping her face. Frank put the cigarette away, and wondered what his first words should be to her. Something about how she was really fantastic, and she shouldn’t beat herself up, and she sounded great during her parts and had nothing to worry about. “You know, a year ago I saw a guy throw up in that exact spot you’re in.
