Thinking about bonus content again and laughing at how if we go by the timeline where Damon saves Wolfgang and he lives through the rest of the motives, he’s probably having a heart attack at all the soulmate attempted murders lol

ah.....completely slipped my mind that yeah, the group definitely had to deal with the other motives before getting rescued lol. Even though the first murder got thwarted, Tozu would definitely bring them out to try inciting another one (and while I do think no one would try again, the thought of Damon having to deal with more murder attempts is still funny, especially if we bring Bonus Content into it)

◊ Ch2: okay I've been kinda writing a "KG with the AU in mind" thing in the background, and while I'm not gonna just copy-paste the whole thing here, I will paste a couple things I wrote about Jean: "I think Jean's orphan background makes him a bit of a possessive bastard (affectionate). While not having the traditional "soulmates=romance" belief, he does acknowledge that his soulmates are His To Protect. So upon finding out.......it probably stays his hand" & "in canon, bro would've gone after Wolfgang if Eva didn't first, I guarantee it." So if Jean does decide to kill, either Wolfgang gets targeted again lmao, or Jean considers killing Damon, then he finds out they're soulmates & is very "Abort mission! Abort!" about it. Meanwhile in regards to the actual motive & murder attempt, look here

◊ Ch3: okay genuine question does anyone have any ideas what the motives post-Ch2 are? Toshiko's attempt was a spur-of-the-moment thing, but still.....Anyway, I feel that the fact no one died would stop her from trying, but the thought of her still attempting a murder is kinda funny. Damon & Ingrid are having a long talk with her afterwards, especially if someone did get hurt by her attempt (though Toshiko not thinking clearly when she tried certainly helps smooth things over)

◊ Ch4: replace "knife" with "bomb" and it's basically this (also applies to canon with Ingrid). Poor Damon's too frazzled to question how Mark knows how to build a bomb and upset when he finds out the why

◊ Ch5: probably the least likely culprit to still try considering nobody died, but it's hilarious thinking of Eloise & Desmond still being like "yeah let's do it :D" and giving Damon his 5th heart attack because Desmond is like, the 2nd-to-last person (after Diana) he would expect to be part of a murder plan

the stress is not good for Damon's heart (especially if he's already been poisoned by this point lol)......and this is without thinking of extra potential murder attempts made due to butterfly effects from the canon ones failing....Damon would greatly appreciate it if his soulmates would please stop making murder/suicide plans......

The only way I could really see Eloise & Desmond go through with their plan if no one died is if Eloise’s family was in danger (as in, “if you don’t commit murder your entire family will die”). Eloise & Desmond would probably both have a breakdown when their plan is discovered.

Toshiko & Mark definitely get chewed out once their plans are stopped…but get some big hugs too.

Eva would not put up with Ulysses & Wenona’s bullshit. She’d definitely rob them.

yeah, unless a motive like that pops up, it's not happening in a serious situation....and in that case, there's a lot more understanding regarding why they even thought of going through with it (even if he's mad, Damon understands wanting to protect your family.....he might've tried too if he got that motive during his prologue/early Ch1 days...)

it helps that those 2 weren't thinking rationally when they made their attempts, so they're definitely the most quickly forgiven of the would-be killers (though they are not being left alone for their own safety as much as the others')

true, if anyone can find a way to get into their Tozu Trinkets & take their money, it's Eva (though given the lack of murder, they probably aren't as extreme as they would've been in Canon)

Honestly, Damon might’ve tried it if he got that motive in Chapter 5 (he’s a mama’s boy & a daddy’s boy). Yeah, Eloise & Desmond would probably get forgiven fairly quickly, but the others would probably be more mad at Desmond than Eloise, which would piss her off because it was her idea.

Poor Toshiko would probably break down and cry while Ingrid & Damon interrogate her. I know that apparently Mrs. Kayura was abusive in canon, but imagine if Toshiko said “I just want my mom…” as she sobs.

Tozu & Mara probably breathed a huge sigh of relief when Toshiko’s murder plan was stopped.

Jett would probably look after Mark the most, even though Mark tries to avoid him…and since he’s canonically addicted to meth, imagine if he went through withdrawal & even begged Jean to please get him some meth.

Not to mention, Grace wouldn’t hesitate to knock their lights out (I’m guessing she didn’t in canon because she was grieving). Between Eva’s hacking skills & Grace’s Aussie rage, Wenona & Ulysses definitely wouldn’t starve anyone.

Imagine everyone finding out Wolfgang is actually fraudgang (is this following the canon timeline or the main multi soulmate au where Wolfgang is actually a lawyer?)

well, he might've still considered it, but the fact that he'd be killing one of his soulmates with his own hands (plus all his other soulmates if he won the trial), would probably stop him from going further than the planning stage if he had enough time to bond with everyone by the time he got the motive Oh, Eloise would absolutely get mad about getting less blame than Desmond, and depending on how long the others hold it against him/them, she might blow up at them (like, hi? hello? she was just as much a willing participant in the plan as Desmond was, plus she was probably the one pushing Desmond considering the motive affected her more, so where the hell is the outrage about her part?!?!)

oh, Toshiko 100% started sobbing uncontrollably as soon as they started talking to her (if she didn't start as soon as she realized what she almost did) Honestly even in a canon-adjacent version she'd cry about wanting her mother, because at least that's familiar

yeah, they probably did....especially since she would've been the first killer in this case, and having the first execution be the child???

That awkward moment when you reject your crush out of a combo of guilt & self-loathing, and then he tries to blow himself up over it...... it's super awkward between them for a while even if Jean could cook meth in the school, a) he's on thin enough ice that he wouldn't be able to without getting caught, & b) He Does Not Want To Do That. So instead he & the others would be focused on helping Mark through his symptoms as best they can with what they have

Grace absolutely would've (probably a combo of that & ulywen having hired the stronger people as bodyguards). Thankfully the monarchs are shown the errors of their ways fairly quickly

wrote this for the Main AU's Bonus Content, but yeah if this was Canon-adjacent, there is chaos when they discover Wolfie faked his way through. And considering the Main AU's divergence is because of akiretsu having the honesty soulmark, it's honestly impressive that Fraudang managed to hide it from Damon for as long as he did

Headcanons for each of the Maitsuverse Cassidys celebrating their birthdays?

i guess i should start linking the maitsuverse versions to the birthday post lol

◊ Main variants, Historian & Ship Captain's Music Producers, Marksman, Ship Captain, Drag Racer: probably hit up an arcade or club (can see Marksman!Cassidy doing laser tag like Marksman!Jett), celebration lasts throughout the night, most likely to get utterly wasted now that they're 21

◊ Entrepreneur, Fencer, Mathlete, Debater, Influencer, Historian: similar to here, having a chill game night with just their groups (though maybe with the Influencer doing a stream)

◊ Cosmetologist, Blacksmith, Matchmaker, Lawyer: get surprised by a birthday party when they get home after a nice lunch with their partners/friends

Entrepreneur Damon would hate Mountain Dew cake with a passion...but since Cassidy likes it? It's the best flavor in the world. He's getting the best bakers he can find to make a Mountain Dew Cake for Cassidy, and if anyone makes fun of it, they're fired!

Marksman Cassidy would constantly yell out "Boom! Headshot!" when she hits someone in laser tag or kills an enemy in a video game.

the things Entrepreneur!Damon does for love........Amazing that he keeps his face from scrunching every time he takes a bite (but his hatred still shows, though Cassidy finds it cute/funny)

yep, girl's having the time of her life massacring all her friends & loved ones (and of course the others weren't holding back just because it's her birthday, so the victory is even sweeter)

Itoshi is....bad at the games they like, and it is very amusing for the girls to watch him pout every time he dies

Lawyer Cassidy definitely teases Entrepreneur a bit when he gags on the mountain dew cake before pulling out a small strawberry-chocolate cake so he (& maybe Toshiko and some of the others) can have some cake he enjoys.

Baker Damon, Influencer Wenona, and Marksman Damon would be similarly suffering when making cake for their partners (unless they like Mountain Dew or Chocolate Soda). Fencer Cassidy and Crypt would try to "help" Influencer Wenona make a cake, but Wenona would just call Jett, Jean, and Ingrid over to distract them. Marksman would have similar issues with Debater Cassidy and Music Producer Jett.

Itoshi pouts even more at his girlfriends' teasing...until he actually manages to win a game and earn lots of credits/tickets (assuming they're somewhere like Chuck E. Cheese or Dave and Buster's). He uses his credits to get Cassidy either a spider plushie, a mini remote controlled car, or a tiny arcade game that's small and cute (like Cassidy).

Marksman Cassidy would gloat so much about winning...until someone sprays her with a water gun. Then it's on.

MP Damon would probably make a bunch of remixes of Entrepreneur Cassidy's favorite songs for her birthday, along with a duck version of herself and maybe some ducks of characters from her company's video games. Imagine if Entrepreneur Cassidy made a game about ducks/rubber ducks.

Imagine if Blacksmith made a spider figurine for Cosmetologist Cassidy or one of her favorite characters.

Pro Gamer and Blacksmith Cassidy would be such a chaotic duo. Pro Gamer's partners have to check his gift to make sure he doesn't give Cassidy a bomb or something. Really he'd probably just get her some really good scrap metal, and she'd love it.

Mathlete Jett would probably make Ship Captain Cassidy a puzzle that creates a model ship or a miniature cannon that actually fires.

What do you think Wenona would get Main Cassidy this year since she already has a fancy gaming chair?

he's embarrassed when they pull the cake out (it's Cassidy's birthday, she's the only one that should get a special cake) but appreciates it (and so do the others that have "wrong" tastebuds that don't enjoy the deliciousness of mountain dew cake)

those 3 could probably tolerate the taste of chocolate soda enough to be fine making a cake with it for their Cassidy's (though Baker's internally being snobbish over it). And yeah, those 4 would certainly cause trouble for Influencer!Wenona & Marksman!Damon lol, though thankfully each birthday girl & her cohort can get their attention pulled away so the bakers can.....bake

Itoshi is very proud of himself for finally winning after a continuous lose streak, especially when he gets enough to get Cassidy one of the more expensive prizes (she probably gets all 3 from Itoshi, Jean, & Eva by the end of the night, plus whatever else she wins for herself)

like 5 minutes after they get home in the late afternoon, someone suggests swimming in the pool.....and proceeds to snipe Marksman!Cassidy as soon as she comes out. After being outraged at the complete & utter betrayal, she's immediately returning fire

MP casually "hides" the CD with his remixes underneath a big duck-Cassidy & tiny duck versions of her most popular game characters and pretends he had nothing to do with the ducks. She would probably include a duck character in one of her more animal-themed games

Blacksmith definitely spent several days getting the spider legs just right before making the final version to give her

ah....yeah Blacksmith!Cassidy would definitely enjoy reusing scrap whenever possible (and she's very amused by Pro Gamer's partners & would claim he already gave her the bomb earlier in order to see their reactions)

Captain Amber has fun testing out how powerful her new tiny cannon is lol (the others are just watching and sometimes bringing new things to shoot)

As for Main!Wenona's gift for Cassidy.....some high-resolution monitors & a high quality VR headset

Entrepreneur would try to avoid eating a slice of the strawberry cake for a while...until Cassidy threatens to eat all of it. Then he's sprinting calmly walking over to get a slice.

Marksman Cassidy chases the traitor all around the pool and through the park before finally cornering them...only to have a bucket of water dumped on her.

Marksman Cassidy: This. Means. War.

Fencer Damon would probably give Cassidy a book on swords or something or even an actual sword (or maybe a replica one). Imagine if Fencer did a mock sword fight with Cassidy and the others with foam swords. Honestly I can see Fencer Cassidy doing something similar with Crypt and the others, especially while they're waiting for the cake to finish baking.

Entrepreneur Cassidy would probably name some of the ducks in her game after her friends and partners, especially MP Damon.

Music Producer Cassidy would get a ton of video games, anime, plushies, nerf guns, and even a new synth for her birthday from her partners and friends and would "force" Historian to learn how to play video games (she, along with Diana, Mark and the rest of the cringe squad, definitely gasp dramatically when Historian tells them he never played video games or watched anime before.)

Imagine if they actually made a bomb for a video one day or Pro Gamer got her a bath bomb. Blacksmith Cassidy and Pro Gamer probably do a ton of videos together, especially since Cassidy's pretty strong and can lift heavy stuff. Imagine if they made a robot buddy together.

Captain Amber would love blasting plushies out of her little cannon (just like Captain Maitsu) along with stuff like balls, glitter, confetti, or even mini pies or cakes (not sure how big her cannon is). Mathlete Jett definitely helps her aim her cannon too. It's all fun and games until they get glitter on Historian Eva's dress & hair.

Cassidy would love playing her new headset all night (well, after she gives Nona a big kiss first of course.) Hopefully the headset isn't cursed and Cassidy doesn't get trapped in a game (again).

oh, can definitely see Fencer!Damon doing that for Historian!Cassidy. Boy searches for the most extensive history book on swords & demonstrates several techniques for her. and true, Fencer!Cassidy & Crypt would totally also foam-sword-fight while waiting for the cake to finish

Headcanons for the Maitsuverse Damons and Cara celebrating Pride Month with their polycules?

◊ Main, Baker, Entrepreneur, Reiji, Cara, Itoshi, Cosmo, Influencer: same or similar as this, plus they make an excess of baked goods to donate to their local parade. The last three Damon's & Cara would also definitely wear more pride-themed cosmetics (makeup, nails, hair, etc)

◊ Pro Gamer, Music Producer, Crypt, Captain Maitsu, Marksman, Golfer: absolutely going to all the parades they can (though Marksman is more just agreeing to go if someone else brings it up). Crypt probably gets lost again, but at least this time he's taken in by a lovely throuple of lesbian wine aunts (can see the others also getting lost at the pride parade...except for Captain Maitsu & Golfer, whose partners get lost instead lol)

◊ Historian, Tsuki, Blacksmith, Fencer, Mathlete: they're a lot more relaxed about it compared to their polycules (honestly they probably wouldn't have noticed if not for them lol), but they're still happy to get pulled into their celebrations. Mostly a combo of the other 2 groups

Entrepreneur's company would probably release a new Pride designer collection for pride month that Entrepreneur designed himself. He would also get bullied into convinced to get his nails, makeup, and hair done by Toshiko and Cassidy while also baking with Desmond & Wolfgang.

Pro Gamer would also release a few videos for pride month. One notable video would be called "TASTE THE RAINBOW MOTHERFUCKA!!" where he tries to weaponize rainbows with a rainbow death ray "for purely theoretical reasons."

Baker would have so many requests for rainbow cake/rainbow desserts that he's never baking another rainbow cake again...well, at least until Toshiko and the others ask him to bake with them. A few more can't hurt...

You know what would be cool? Imagine if Baker and Marksman Damon competed in or judged a pride baking competition (either between their polycules or with actual bakers).

Crypt probably also hung out with some furries as well as the lesbian wine moms. His polycule definitely dyes his hair rainbow purely for celebratory reasons and certainly not to make it easier to spot.

Music Producer Damon would make a new album for pride and possibly even perform at a pride parade/event.

Marksman would probably ask to pet some of the furries (their costumes look fluffy...soft...must pet). Imagine if there was a pride pet parade with dogs and cats.

Imagine Tsuki with rainbow streaks in his hair.

Imagine if some bigots tried to harass parade goers or even attack the pride parades each Damon & Cara and their polycules were at.

Imagine if Influencer Desmond did a parkour video titled "TRYING TO ESCAPE MY GAY THOUGHTS" with him dramatically trying to escape some of the others, who are holding pride flags and stuff + Jett who is dressed either as a drag queen or cupid (complete with a little bow and arrow or a "Nerf Gun of Love"). Historian would probably do a talk on LGBTQ+ history (which would probably be different from real life LGBTQ+ history) and famous LGBTQ+ figures in history and mythology (honestly, all the historians would do something like this. Historian Toshiko would focus on the mythology side though)

Baker and Marksman would probably be in separate competitions, but if they were in the same competition Baker would win (even though Marksman would give him a run for his money depending on if this was after he went to culinary school). Baker would also judge some amateur and even some professional competitions. Baker would make this amazing rainbow cake (with each color being a different flavor) that looks like it belongs on Cake Wars with a bunch of fondant and modeling chocolate details while Marksman would make a simpler but still cute rainbow cake. Imagine if their partners were on both of their cakes.

Blacksmith and Fencer (along with the other Fencers and some of the Blacksmiths and maybe Golfer Desmond, Marksman Jett, and Lawyer Ingrid) would definitely be Pride Knights (Fencers Desmond, Grace, and Ingrid would definitely love being Pride Knights). Historian, Itoshi, Cosmo, Influencer Cara, Entrepreneur Mark, Pro-Gamer Eloise, and some of the others would be Pride Princes/Princesses/Royals.
