Yes I am going to continue Second chance to live, but updates are going to be few and far in between as I have exams and a concert coming up. As for posting it on A03 maybe I will, I'm not sure honestly.
OKAY someone write this or I might some day, but I just watched May I have one final request. And holy shit I need Female Spider SPECIFICLLY FEMALE SPIDER to embody Scarlet. Just imagine Spider getting caught and being kinda helpless cause no one taught her how to fight. Even tho she is physically very strong she is helpless. So she goes to the strongest person she knows not Jake not Neytiri but an old marine that instilled the fear of GOD into the new recruits, a Drill Sargent. And straight up demads that he teaches her and hes like well sucks I have nothing better to do. SO he teaches her how to throw hands, and I mean throw hands. No one other than the two of them know about this, they still think Spider is untained. And he may go through the eye of Eywa or have an Avtar idk. So when Spider gets taken my man is ready to throw hands at Jake and Neytiri but they leave before he can, and when Kiri gets sick he goes with Max and Norm and stays??? again I have not thought this through. When Spider crashes the boat, she just KOs everyone in sight, Neteyam can not die if Lyle is knocked out. Thats as far as I got so anyone feel free to do what u will with this.I might elaborate on this later too Edit - Imagine Spider just being insanely polite while beating someone to Eywa and back. Idk but its funny to me

Second Chance to Live III
Spider had a plan, but that plan involved a few more people.
But those people were not navi.
If Spider had to bare Jakes concerned looks any longer he will snap. Because where was that concern when he was kidnapped by the literal DEMON of Pandora, did it decide to take a rain check that specific day? So as a solution to his problems he is spending time in Hells Gate today. It was easy to fake a head ache and far easier to raise Max and Norms concerns enough for them to ban him from going out today. After some fake whining, he was free to wander Hells Gate as he pleased.
He walked down the hall and knocked on the door of the room next to his. "Tommy you wanna hang out" He yelled, sounds of something or something falling over was heard before the door open.
"Hell yeah"
The seven year old with light blond hair looked up at him.
"Language"
Spider chided him gently, Thomas pouted.
"How come you get to curse but I don't"
"Thats because I'm si-thirteen and you're only seven"
Thomas only pouted harder at that, oh how he had missed this. He had missed his younger brother. Spider ruffled Thomas's hair ignoring his squawk of indignation.
"I'll tell ya what, when you turn ten I will let you curse how ever you like"
Spider said. Thomas beamed at this. He grabbed Spiders hand and started dragging him towards the common room where the kids usually hung out.
After the RDA came back most of the kids were taken. Spider wasn't the closest with them but he knew them. Hell he helped raise a few of them. Scientists aren't usually the best at parenting. Some are great, some not so much.
Spider followed Thomas down the hall and opened the door. There were 5 other kids inside the room all ranging from nine years all the way down to three years.
"Spider!!" Three year old Maya squealed and ran over to him.
My ass was sufficiently kicked by mocks so I have a short update for y'all.

My brother in Christ, Spider is the only thing standing between Quaritch and a genocide at all times a day. Multible Metkayina villages and Jake himself would just straight up be erased off the face of Pandora without Spider to reign Mr.Coloniser McMurder over there in. Do we really wanna know what'll happen when Quaritch finds out his kid died and starts to inevitably blame either the Sullies or the planet herself for it?
Preach that child is Quaritch's only moral compass. If he died we are not getting anymore movies the only movie we are going to get is Mr Genocide destroying the entire planet
Okay I have being seeing this around so much and I freaking Love it.
Neteyam the role model the perfect golden child the kid that your parents tell you to be like, becoming an absolute bratty menace of a younger brother the second Spider is around.
The Metkayina thought the Sully siblings were menaces' before but now, they are whole other level of chaos. The chaos was contained before because the oldest was not here, now that he is they are allowed to be free and they feel safer now that he is around.
The bickering rises to whole other levels now that Neteyam is also actively partaking in said bickering. “Spider!! Lo'ak is being mean!!!“ “Spider!!!Neteyam being annoying!!“ “LO'AK STOP BITING ME!!SPIDER GET HIM OFF!!!“ “Spider!!!Tuk is bullying me!!!!“ These are some of the thing now currently heard around the village.
And the amount of times one of if not all the Sully siblings being dragged to Tsahiks mauri by the oldest was starting to become ridiculous .
All the Sully siblings clung to Spider the first few weeks he was back afraid that he would disappear. So Spider would basically have all of them trailing him like little fledglings.
Oh and the day he found out about all the shenanigans his siblings had gotten upto while he was away, the village thought that it would be the last time they see of the Sully siblings. The wrath of an older sibling is not something to be messed with. And if Ao'nung had to eat sand and walked away with a few too many bruises the next time they spared, he brought it upon himself. Jake and Neytiri were the ones that snitched.
Little scenarios
Spider weaving a net with the other weavers talking and gossiping when Neteyam just walk in and plops down behind Spider and just buries his face into the crook of his neck while hold him like a teddy bear. And Spider is just like give me five minutes I'm almost done Teyam. The Weavers just gawk at the scene and are amazed when Spider standing at 6 feet picks up Neteyam who stands at 8 feet 2 inches and walks off (Spider has natural older sibling buff)
Everyone worrying on where Kiri had gone off too while Spider just walks through all the chaos dives into the water and comes out with Kiri in tow. Kiri was whining about being take away from the glowing fish and reef fish, Spider having none of it just gave her one pointed glare that stopped her whining in their tracks. The reef teens were stunned Lo'ak was the lose cannon but Kiri had a sharp tongue known to be able to destroy a persons' ego with a few sharp words. Yet here she was silenced with one look her tail and ears dropping. The teens minus the Sully kids were all left wondering if Eywa herself was playing a trick on them. Lo'ak getting chased around the village by Spider holding the na'vi equivalent of a broom because he decided to do something stupid and nearly died, again. Lo'ak was screaming and begging for mercy but Spider was not having any of it. If the Metkayina saw Lo'ak trailing behind Spider, who refuse to even acknowledge him for a week straight they simply accepted it as it was. Anything that got Lo'ak to stop doing anything reckless was good in their books.
Sweet little Tuk begging to be carried around every where by Spider because she has six months of catching up with her older brother to do. Spider will actively be surrounded by multiple of Tuks friends as they all drag him around to play. The days he does go out with the village children none of them ever return with scrapes, bruises or an injury of any sort. For this the Tsahik and the parents will forever be great full to him.
Ronal looking at Spider who is making Ao'nung sweat and squirm every chance he gets and seeing alot of Neytiri's own behavior mirrored in the boy. Tonowari seeing Spider drag Lo'ak by the ear while holding a conversation with Tsireya and being able to see Jake donig something like that.
More often than not everyone would catch Spider looking up as if begging Eywa for strength and patience before looking at his siblings with such fondness that makes the looker think maybe the chaos is worth it.
Anyways I NEED more older brother Spider who is the oldest yet shortest and the Sully siblings becoming mences after he returns because that is how it should be people.

Pov - You get home after suffering 4 hours of physics and try to get comfort from AO3 only to get a message saying its down and the official AO3 pages saying that thats an error and they are working on it. Is it just me or is anyone else getting war flashbacks to the great AO3 shut down

I can just imagine a tried Quaritch dealing with a sixteen-year-old wild child. Which is Eywa's funny why for screwing him for almost killing her world, ant that a bitch?

The Recoms watching Spider eviscerate her giant blue father with words: “should we like… do something?”

Meanwhile:
Spider put on a big show of being a scary feral monster both times he was kidnapped, so that the people watching him would be intimidated by him, but he immediately shrinks in terror the second anyone actually enters his cell.

Second chance to live II
Spider was still coming to terms with, well everything. He was now back to being 13 years old and still living with the McCoskers. He now only had an year to prepare for the RDA coming back and three years to make sure he doesn't die.
That however was the least of his problems right now. He watched as Max bandaged his bruised hand, and Norm paced around anxiously. He told them the truth he woke up from a night terror and panicked. They had a hard time believing the fact that this strong of a reaction was caused by a night terror, which Spider will say is fair but currently it was a pain to deal with it.
He absent mindedly munched on the cookie Norm gave to him and he waited for Max to finish what he is doing.
The first thing on his list of things to do to stop from dying was to somehow get rid of the McCosker parents. Thomas deserved better. Most of the time Mary and Nash ignored him leaving Spider to take care of him. Spider will never forgive himself for letting them take his little brother. This time he wont let them take him.
The door to the medical ward opened pulling Spider out of his thoughts. He turned his head to look at who came in only to feel his blood run cold. Not with fear but with anger. There he stood in all his glory. Jake freaking Sully.
Of course they'd call Jake. He used to idolize him, Max and Norm must have thought I'd tell him what bothering me. Which wouldn't have happened then and what little chance there was of it happening was non-exist in the present.
Spider smiled and waved with his cookie in hand.
"Hi Jake"
Jake looked and Spider and smiled, Spider was using all his will power not to jump the navi and demand if he was just a stray cat to him.
"Hey there Spider"
Jake then turned and walked toward Norm who wearing the floor down with his pacing. Spider began to hum absent mindedly, while listening to Jake and Norms conversation. Well trying to atleast he could only catch bits and pieces of it which confirmed his suspicions. They were talking about him.
"He was begging Jake! He was telling us not to touch his and that he doesnt know"
"Norm I know it looks bad"
"Fuck that Jake! It is bad!" Norm broadline yells making Spider jump at the sudden loud sound.
"Whoa buddy I've got you" Max rubbed his thumb over Spiders wrist. Spider just wordlessly looked down and nodded. "You see that Jake! What happened to make the kid like this!" Norm ran his hand down his face, Jake looked back at Spider but Spider avoided his eyes on purpose. Eywa damn it Spider you are mentally 16 you can not be jumping and flinching every time someone raises their voice. He internally yells at him self. Jake and Norm whet back to whispering but he heard Mary and Nash being mentioned in the conversation.
"So you're telling me they weren't the first people trying to calm him down?" Jake asked his eyes widening and ears flattening.
"No-" Norm sighed, "I don't know, all I know is after what happened I
don't trust them with Spider "
"Norm we cant just take him-"
Norm snapped making Spider flinch again, Max looked heartbroken but Spider didn't notice he was too busy eavesdropping and mentally scolding himself.
"Jake Thomas goes to Spider for everthing never to Mary or Nash. Something is very wrong with everything! This whole thing is the breaking point for me." Jake tried to reason with Norm but Spider wasn't listening anymore. Norm knows something is wrong, Norm knew something was wrong with the McCosters. He always knew, but why didn't he do anything? Spider bit the inside of his cheek to stop himself from spiralling.
It doesn't matter, It does matter. Norm knowing something is wrong is good for him. He can get rid of the McCosters far earlier if he plays his cards right. Those cards being the exact ones he hid the first time around.
"Can I go out now?"
Spider made himself looks as innocent as possible, pouting his lips while looking at Max then at Norm and Jake. Max smiled and finished up bandaging his hand before ruffling his hair.
"Sure kid"
Max said, Jake looked like he was about to argue but one pointed look from Norm had him clicking his mouth shut.
"I feel like going out today, mind if I join you?" Norm asked surprising Spider. Norm never asked to come with him, Spiders chest felt warm as he nodded before jumping down from the bed he was sitting on.
"Come on I don't wanna be late" Spider called behind him as he ran to get ready.
Spider had a plan, and he was going to make sure it works even if he has to bleed. Especially if he had to bleed.
It's SO interesting that Spider is the character who gets the most hate online, when his entire role in the movies is that no one hates him and everyone cares about him.
Jake and Quaritch worked together to save him. The RDA kept Jake alive so they wouldn’t kill Spider. Lo’ak didn’t kill Quaritch because Spider was in the line of fire. Neytiri questioned her own morals to accept him. Even Varang shows morbid curiosity towards him.
Sure, some of their motives are very questionable. But he really is the SPIDER WEB THAT HOLDS EVERYONE TOGETHER. There isn’t a single character in the movie who genuinely hates him and actively wants him dead.
And then you go online and seemingly everyone think's he should die asap.
Where does that massive difference come from?🤔🤔
I still see people arguing that Lo’ak put his family in danger and that his actions lead to Neteyam’s death and don’t get me wrong, I see where they’re coming from. But when you think about it, was he supposed to like? Abandon his spiritual brother to slaughter? Or his teenage best friend (who had literally been tortured at the hands of the RDA) to brutal murderers and colonizers?
The truth is, Lo’ak made choices that had terrible consequences, but he also did the only thing he could do. Had he not acted, Payakan would’ve been butchered, and Spider would still be in a cage, facing abuse and exploitation.
Lo’ak was a child in a war and the tragedy is that there was actually no good outcome for anyone. And he did what he had to do. It costed him Neteyam not because he was reckless, but because war makes being good a losing game.
(Side note you can’t put a rifle in a teenager’s hands, send him to the battlefield and then complain about him being a loose cannon. Ofc your boy is gonna run off carelessly to blow things up he’s fifteen WITH A RIFLE and a BODY COUNT)
