Chapter Forty Three
Was I scared of him?
Had he asked me that when we first started dating, I might have considered it, his actions and his mood did worry me back then, but now that I knew him better, or at least I think I did, he didn't worry me anymore.
Being with him; I felt shy, excited and fluttery. I found myself doing things purely because he had mentioned he liked them, like wearing my glasses more often or not pinning the 'dingley dangley bits' as he put it, back. When I think about where our relationship could go it make me nervous and anxious, and when he does things like; holding my hand, taking me on a date, or planning this surprise dinner he put so much thought and effort into, even buying me flowers, all things he's never done before, it's hard to find my breath or contain a smile. But scared of him?
SEYONG
She looked a little surprised by my question, she frowned slightly thinking about it for a second, then without hesitation or any sign of doubt she said;
"No,"
"No?" I raised an eyebrow before pulling two bowls from the cupboard.
"Why would I be?" she shrugged.
"I don't scare you, even a little bit?"

Chapter Forty Two
Ricky and I were setting up the booth in the middle of campus, we figured it had the most flow of people so we were more likely to sell more. Jiyeon had helped me make; butter cookies, chapssal doughnuts (rice ball doughnuts), mandupi churros (dumpling skin churros), seaweed spring rolls, sweet rice bars with fruit and nuts, bulgogi kimbap, bacon and avocado sushi rolls, Nutella stuffed doughnut holes, hotteok (sweet pancake), honey sponge cake, gyongdan (sweet rice cake), chapssalddeok (sticky rice cake), ginger cookies, chestnut cookies, cornbread, and songpyeon (rice cake).
It had taken hours but it was nice to be baking with Ji again and now there was a lot of food to sell, of course, I had to fight off Seyong who kept trying to steal some. He seemed pretty pleased with himself that every time he came near me I got flustered, I think he would do it on purpose. He definitely did it on purpose. I couldn't get it out of my head, how close we'd been to kissing and I still didn't know if I would have let him kiss me or if I would have moved at the last second.
"So," Ricky interrupted my internal babble.
"What?"
"You cooked a lot," he stated as if it meant something.
"Ji helped and I figured the more food the more money," I shrugged,
"Is that all?"
"What do you mean?" was I missing something?
"You weren't cooking out your frustration?"
"What frustration?"
"Or avoiding kissing Seyong?" he ignored my question.
"What? Seyong was there the whole time," I shrugged.
"That doesn't mean you weren't avoiding it,"
"I wasn't avoiding it,"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes I'm sure, we almost kissed before I'd even started cooking,"

"Are you okay?" Jiyeon frowned at me.
"I'm fine," I nodded making my way through to the bathroom.
"Are you sure? You're walking weird,"
"I'm just sore from the fall, I'm fine," I stated again.
"Okay, what do you want to eat?"
"Something hot, spicy, and oily," I said as I closed the bathroom door.
Honestly, I was in a lot of pain, when I slipped in the second round I hurt something except I'm not sure whether it's was my leg or hip, the whole left side from the waist down hurts. I know I should go see a doctor about it but I'm sure it's not as bad as I think it is, and there was no point in worrying everyone and risking the possible delay of our debut when there is a chance that it's probably nothing. I figured I should at least give it time to see if it gets better, the heat from the shower could make the pain disappear.
JIYEON
I ordered some fried chicken and Tteokbokki, I could tell he wasn't happy with the drastic change in our kitchen but I had to change everything and get rid of the temptations or I wasn't going to do it at all. It's not like I wasn't going to be able to make food that tastes good with these ingredients, it was just going to take some time to get used to using different stuff and finding different recipes.

Chapter Fourty
It was almost 6:30 when we left the shopping centre and by the time Zelo and Ricky had walked me home it was about 7:40 and mostly dark except for the street lights spotlighting the sidewalk. I waved Zelo and Ricky down the street and unlocked the front door, the lights inside were already on and the whole house smelled of Kong Namul Guk (Soybean Sprout Soup) Jiyeon likes to cook that for me when I'm sick.
I found her in the kitchen cooking away, I placed my bag on the counter and frowned at her.
"What?"
"Why are you here instead of at your apartment?"
"Can't I come and see my sister?"
"At 8pm?"
"Well I was here at four,"
"Oh, you should have called,"
"Probably," she nodded.
"So why are you making Kong Namul Guk?"
"Oh, I got bored, I was going to have dinner here anyway and I figured people would be hungry when they got home,"
"Yeah but why Kong Namul Guk? Normally you only make this why I'm sick,"
"I'm trying to get healthier, I was talking to some of the models and they suggested a few thing, so I thought, why not?"
"Seriously? You've never been one for diets and beauty trends,"

"Hey," Seyong came into the kitchen after his shower.
They'd gotten home late tonight, and pretty much every night this week. They've been working non-stop both recording their debut album and learning the choreography. Apparently, they were only going to get busier, they were supposed to start recording their music video four days from now, and their debut date was set for the 3rd of next month which was about two weeks or so.
"Dinner is almost ready," I gave him a small smile. He looked so tired.
"Chaejin just got in the shower," he nodded leaning on the counter, he sounded like he was getting sick but maybe that was from all the recording.
"You okay?"
"Just tired," he yawned nodding.
"Do you have a day off soon?"
"We have a day off the day after tomorrow, well everyone else does, Insoo and I are going to be on Dream Team," he yawned.
"You don't sound so happy about that,"
"No I am, I was actually wondering if you would come and watch?"
It had been a week since Insoo's birthday and most of our awkwardness was gone, I mean we could sit on the lounge together and hold hands and it was comfortable, but that's about as far as our skinship had gone. It was still a little weird, but he was being great about it, he wasn't pushing anything.
"Sure," I nodded letting out a yawn.
"You know you don't have to stay up and cook us dinner," he frowned.
"None of you can cook, and it's not that late,"
"It's almost 1, beside Insoo can kind of cook, and Chaejin and JunQ are pretty good in the kitchen," he shrugged.

"You're hopeless," I sighed at Seyong who had his arm around my neck as I helped his stay standing.
"Are we going home now?" he slurred.
"No, we're going to eat something,"
"I'm not hungry"
"You need to soak up some alcohol before we get you back to Eunji,"
"Eunji can cook,"
"It's almost two in the morning, she'll be asleep," I sighed.
"I like to sleep," he nodded thoughtfully.
"Fine, we'll get you home to sleep," I gave up.
Jiyeon would already be asleep anyway, she messaged me two hours ago saying she was heading home with EunBi so I seriously doubt she was even awake right now.
"You should go home and get some, it's no wonder you and Jiyeon have been moody lately," he mumbled.
"And when was the last time you had sex with something other than your hand?"
"Hey, I don't even know how to hold hands with her," he tried to defend himself.
"It's different to what you're used too huh?"
"I don't know how to do it," he sighed pulling from me and sitting himself on the bench we'd just past.
"Do what? Hold hands?" I frowned.
"No, relationship, I don't know if I'm moving too quickly or if I should be moving faster or if she's even comfortable around me. I don't know why she even agreed to date me, I was so horrible to her," he rambled.

"Hey, so I was thinking," Insoo walked into our bedroom, well what would be once we've completely finished unpacking.
"That's dangerous," I smirked as I unpacked our boxes of clothes putting them into their respective wardrobes.
"Ha Ha," he rolled his eyes.
"Anyway," I gestured for him to continue with what he was saying.
"We haven't seen Young Pyo and Su Min in a while, I mean other than them helping move our stuff,"
"Yes," I stood to face him.
"So I was thinking that maybe we should invite them out and go on a sort of double date thing,"
"Why?" I frowned.
"Because it'll be fun," he shrugged.
"Why don't we double date with Seyong and Eunji then, at least that way it won't feel like a double date,"
"Because they're kind of awkward still, I'm not sure that would be a good idea,"
"Well I'm sure it'll help with their awkward, bowling did, I think,"
"Yeah but Eunji is still getting over her virus, she might not feel up to it," he stated.
"She was fine with bowling," I pointed out.
"Did you and Seyong have a fight?" I raised an eyebrow.
"What? No, I just want to go out with you and I though it being a double date would make you more comfortable,"
"Can't they just come over here and hang out for a while?"
"No," he shook his head.
"I don't really feel like going out on a date today, and there is still a whole lot to do around here," I sighed.

Chapter Thirty Six
"Is everyone ready?" Insoo called from downstairs.
EunBi was going home on Saturday so Insoo had decided to throw her a little going home party kind of thing, but seeing as the boys were pretty busy this week we were doing it today, which was Tuesday, so it's not like it was too early. Anyway, we were going to the arcade/bowling alley which actually sounded like fun considering they normally want to go to a club or lunch which gets a little boring after a while. Insoo had even been okay with us inviting Zelo, okay maybe he'd been seriously reluctant but he'd finally agreed in the end.
I was kind of excited, I hadn't been to an arcade in a while and last time it was kind of ruined by the twins fighting nonstop. Their fighting was pointless though because the attendant behind the counter they'd been fighting over, wasn't interested in either of them. The only reason she'd been staring was because she was interested in Ricky, so they felt pretty stupid when she came over and gave Ricky the small piece of paper with her name and number on it.
"Eunji?" Seyong knocked on my bedroom door, I'd been getting changed.
"I'm coming now," I called back.
"Okay,"
Things were still awkward between us, we were watching something last night and our hands touched, normally couples would take that as a sign to hold hands or something right? Instead, I decided it would be a good idea to get up and go to bed. Stupid huh? I mean it's not like I haven't held his hand before, or rested my head on his shoulder or even slept on his lap. But I also didn't do any of that on purpose, I don't know why it was so hard to have skinship now that we were officially together.

"Where did the boys say they were going?" Jiyeon asked as she packed away the clothes from her wardrobe.
"The company sent them to get their hair done," I smirked.
"Seriously? I thought we were supposed to be the girls?" she stated.
"What do you think they'll do to them?" EunBi asked taping up a box Jiyeon had already packed.
"As long as they don't shave him I'm good with it," Jiyeon shrugged.
"What if they give him a mohawk?" I laughed a little which resulted in me coughing.
"Still not over it?" Ji frowned.
"Almost," I shrugged.
It had been almost a week since we went to the doctors, I had to go back tomorrow for the results of my blood test but I'd pretty much gotten over whatever it was, well at least I felt that way right now, but I progressively worse throughout the day.
"And if they give him a mohawk I'll hurt someone,"
"I doubt they'll do too much to it, probably a trim and dye it, at least that's what happened with Zelo when he debut," I shrugged sliding a box towards the door.
"No way!" Jiyeon laughed, I frowned and walked back into the wardrobe,
"Do you remember this?" she asked holding up the little brown teddy bear with its arm in a sling.
"I remember being terrified of showing you what I'd done,"
"Yeah, I was seriously attached to this bear," she nodded.
"What happened to it?" EunBi appeared next to me.
"When we were little, Eunji was playing with it and it got a small little hole in its arm where the stitching was coming undone so she stapled it because she's seen it on a show and then put it in a sling,"
"I was so scared she was going to be mad at me. I wasn't supposed to touch it but she wasn't home and I was bored,"

"So how is the apartment hunt going?" I asked wrapping my arm around Jiyeon's shoulder pulling her closer.
Jiyeon and I were laying in my bed in the cabin - it was a single bed so we were pretty close, Seyong was still in with Eunji who insisted she was fine but he stayed anyway and pretty much wouldn't let her go do anything but use the bathroom and that's only because he couldn't do it for her. Zelo had gone for a walk with EunBi around the lake which I honestly wasn't so happy about but he seemed like a good kid, she's just my little sister. Chaejin and JunQ were in the lake and Gunwoo, as far as I know was still asleep.
"I think I've found one," she rested her head on my shoulder.
"Yeah?"
"Mm, it's pretty nice, I'd be paying the same price I am now but for almost twice the space, the kitchen, dining, and lounge room at still all open plan but there are two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom and walking wardrobe. So it's pretty big for just me," she trailed off.
"So you don't want it because it's too big?" I frowned, I knew what she was trying to do but I wanted to hear her actually ask.
"No, I want it. I just thought that if you wanted to, I mean you're at my apartment 90% of the time anyway plus there's a spare room for when EunBi comes to visit and when she moves here for school she has somewhere which will save her having to pay for a place,"
"You want me to move in?"
"Well not if you don't want to,"
"Do you want me to move in?" I sat up to face her.
"I mean it's closer to the dorm, not by much but if you don't want to I can always find somewhere smaller," she rambled.
"Just tell me you want me to move in," I said simply.
"I do,"
"You do what?"
"Insoo," she sighed, it sounded more like a whine to me.
"Tell me," I smirked poking her side.
"I did," she squirmed away.

I yawned opening my eyes, we were still driving but the sun had set so it was dark now. Zelo had turned the radio on and let it play quietly probably to keep him away.
"How long have I been asleep?" I yawned again.
"Just over an hour, were almost every there,"
"Sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep,"
"It's fine, how are you feeling?"
"My throat's a little sore and my ears itch but that's probably from the singing today," I shrugged.
"You should give Ji a call, she rang about twenty minutes ago. I told her I'd get you to call her when you woke up unless we got there first,"
I just nodded picking up my phone.
"Hey sleepy head,"
"Hey,"
"How are you feeling? Zelo said you were a little pale,"
"I'm fine," I frowned at Zelo.
"Okay, so how far away are you guys?"
"How far away are we?"
"Twenty minutes,"

Everyone was around the fire when the car finally arrived, they were all sitting except Jiyeon who'd started cooking dinner and myself and Insoo who had been appointed barbeque duty. Insoo jumped at the offer, apparently, it was the first time Jiyeon had let him help cook.
I wanted to go help Eunji with her bags but Zelo was already doing it as she slowly got herself out of the car. Something seemed a little off about her, maybe she was just tired, Jiyeon had said she was asleep when she called.
"Oh my god," EunBi whispered.

"So Eunji's not coming?" EunBi frowned packing the last of her things into her bag.
The boys were being sent on a camping trip as a sort of relaxation slash team building thing before they debut and the company had been kind enough to extend the invitation to EunBi, Eunji and myself.
"She's coming, she just has some things to take care of at the university first,"
"So why aren't we waiting for her?"
"She doesn't know what time she'll be finished," I shrugged.
"But how's she getting down there?"
"One of the boys will drive her down," I zipped up my suitcase and wheeled it from the room as Insoo was coming out of his.
"Here, let me take that," he half smiled taking the case by the handle before I had a chance to object.
"Is this your only bag?"
"Uh, yeah, I've got the other one," he nodded and took it down the stairs to the car without another word.
I followed him down to the car after getting my backpack. Honestly, things had been a little weird between us since the Ferris wheel, well not weird, a little awkward maybe. I think maybe talking about it brought it all back for him, maybe he wasn't ready to talk about it just yet. I shouldn't have pushed him too either and I definitely shouldn't have thrown it in his face like I did. I think he's mad at me because he told me.
"Are you okay?" I found myself asking.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"You've been a little distant,"

I made my way down the path towards the basketball courts, Insoo had messaged me asking for me to meet him there because he wanted to tell me something. I'd rung him because I'd been busy trying to look for a new apartment but he'd told me that it was important and to come down, then hung up.
He was in a jersey running around the court with another guy that was taller than him wearing the same jersey. I stood on the side of the court with my arms folded over my chest, Insoo smiled when he saw me and ran over.
"Hey, you came,"
"You refused to tell me over the phone,"
"We're almost done here, just sit over there it's a little risky standing there," he smiled as his friend threw the ball at him, it just missed him and I caught it.
"See," he stated, I frowned and threw the ball at his knee.
"Ow, " he frowned.
"It's risky standing here," I mimicked him.
"You're a serious pain sometimes," he sighed.
"You're a pain, I was looking for a new apartment," I poked my tongue out.
"Just go sit over there for like ten minutes," he rolled his eyes.
"Someone's sassy today," I smirked.
"Please just sit and wait, honestly it is important,"
"Okay," I nodded taking a seat on the sidelines.
I watched them play for almost another half an hour, he was really good. If he didn't want to be an idol I could see him perusing a career in basketball. When they finally finished playing they both made their way over to me sweaty and breathing heavy.
"Ji, this is Jinwoo, vice versa," Insoo introduced us.
"I'd hug you but I'm a little gross," he gave me a small smile.
"She's not much of a hugger," Insoo teased.
"Shut up," I frowned.
"See, she's so mean to me,"
"I guarantee you deserve it," Jinwoo teased.

"I'll get it," I called out walking down the stairs but Seyong was already at the door.
"Of course it's you," Seyong sighed opening the door enough to see Zelo's face.
"It's nice to see you again," Zelo nodded.
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm taking Eunji to lunch,"
"The last time you went to lunch she got food poisoning, and hurt herself,"
"It's fine, we're not going to the same restaurant and I'll make sure we don't share the same meal this time," Zelo smirked.
"How many dates are you going to go on before you realise she's not into you?"
"Compare tho how many dates you've been on with her?" Zelo raised an eyebrow.
"Just make sure she doesn't come home sick or hurt,"
"Well from what I hear, her being sick worked in your favour,"
Seyong rolled his eyes and walked away leaving the door to almost hit Zelo in the face. I sighed continuing down the stairs.
"Are you ready?"
"Almost, I'll be right back but Jiyeon is in the kitchen you should go say hello,"
"I miss her cooking," he hummed.
"We can stay here if you like,"
"I'm not sure the company will be inviting,"

Insoo was in a remarkable good mood, not that he's not always in a good mood, the only difference being that this morning, he was practically dancing around the house. It was starting to freak me out, had they got news of their debut? If that was the case why is he the only one excited? He was so happy that he didn't even notice an extremely sleepy Jiyeon enter the room and sit on the lounge next to me. She leant her head on my shoulder.
"Why is he a morning person?" she grumbled before yawning.
"I don't know, are you feeling better today?" I asked.
"No, I'm going on strike against being female," she muttered.
"Do you want a coffee?"
"This is why you're my favourite sister," she leant back in the chair.
"I'm your only sister,"
"That's not true, we have Gunwoo," she smirked still not opening her eyes.
"I'll be right back," I laughed.
Insoo was still basically exploding with excitement after I'd finished Jiyeon's coffee and she'd drunk half of it. Seriously what is with him this morning?
"Hey, what are you so happy about?" Seyong joined us, he's obviously just had a shower, his hair was all shaggy from being towel dried, droplets running down his face every now and again - how is his attractiveness fair?
"Oh nothing, just the fact that EunBi is on her way here," Insoo's smile grew larger as he spoke - I didn't think he could possibly smile more without ripping his face in two.
"Seriously?" Seyong's mood perked up - who is this girl?

I walked into the overly white lobby, a girl about my age was sitting behind the desk place at the back of the room. She smiled up at me when I reached the desk and gave me a hand gesture to wait while she finished her phone call.
"Hey, I'm sorry about that, thank you for waiting. How may I help you?"
"I have an appointment with Alexander at 11,"
"What was the name?"
"Lee Jiyeon,"
"Okay, just wait here for a moment and I'll let him know you're here," she stated picking the phone back up and dialling a number.
"Hello, I have a Lee Jiyeon to see you. Okay, no problem I'll send her right up, bye,"
"Okay, follow this hallway down to the elevators and press 4, turn right and he's on the third door on your left," she gave directions.
"Thank you," I nodded following her directions.
When the doors opened on the fourth floor he was leaning against the wall in front of me. He'd dressed up today; blue denim jeans, plain black shirt, brown leather jacket, brown leather shoes, and sunglasses - Really? Sunglasses?
"Good Morning," he smiled kicking off the wall.
"Hey," I nodded.
"What no sass today?" he smirked, I just stared at him.
"So, do you want the tour before we get into the business side of things?" he pulled his glasses off sliding them into his pocket.
"Who said I was here to stay?" I frowned.
