My name is Halla, I'm 19 years old and I'm Canadian.
Interests:
I'm an artist who loves to draw my OC's and fanart of things I enjoy. I draw traditionally and digitaly, my fav medium is pencil crayons. I occasionally write but I'm new to it and it's usually only for myself (and my friends, shout-out Jay and Maria), but that might change and I might start writing stuff to post! :D

I love ducks and ravens, they're my two favorite animals, and honestly love most birds; birds are so cool. I've also always been super interested in flowers and plants since I was little. Sometimes I'll take pictures of them n' stuff.
I'm a huge fan of Conan Gray and my favorite albums are Found Heaven and Wishbone!

Knives Out, Surf's Up, Project Hail Mary, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Howl's Moving Castle, The Lego Batman movie and Superman 2025 (honestly I love so many movies cause I've always been an avid movie watcher, but those are some that come to mind off the top of my head).

I love characters who are cute little guys, most notably Pikmin and Strawberry Shortcake characters.
My fav drinks are Sprite and iced tea. I love fruit, especially raspberries, peaches and mangoes. My fav dessert is strawberry shortcake and my fav ice cream is mint chip.
My favorite colour is yellow, specifically a pastel, sunshine yellow :D
My favorite plant is clovers (I love looking for four leaf clovers and actually have found over 20 so far!) and my fav flowers are sunflowers and gerbera daisies.

I genuinely thought the "blame canada" for the wildfires and smoke thing was a joke. No. Not its not. To some people it is completely serious
Are we stupid? Are we completely incapable of thinking outside our own little bubble? Yes, some us states have (or i guess at this point mostly had) really bad air quality but Canada is literally ON FIRE and we're mad at them??
Its literally only because these people are too stupid to understand climate change. How are we going to blame THE COUNTRY ON FIRE for BEING ON FIRE like obviously we're gonna have some smoke in the US but at least people aren't burning, or losing their homes and all their possessions.

I was kinda rushed doing a coloured version so I didnāt get to put as much time into it as Iād like, but I still think it turned out decent. I was so obsessed with the sketch when I finished it and I still think I prefer it XD
Also Iām usually a slow drawer and this was genuinely the fastest Iāve finished a rendered piece; itās the power of Tim Drake, thatās the secret sauce.

I referenced the pose from a panel in the Jokerās Wild that I saw and was like āOmg thatās gorgeous I need to draw thatā. Panel in question under the cut!
I lowkey fell in love with this panel because the movement of the cape to me looks like bird wings, and I just think thatās so cool XD
The colouring is also phenomenal and I definitely didnāt capture it very well in my hastily done coloured version but it is what it is. Also I didnāt include the snow in mine cause Iām like āMan itās July rn I donāt wanna be drawing snowā
The most indecisive I'll ever be is when I make a really good sketch and have to decide if I still want to colour it. Like did I originally start this drawing intending to colour it? Yes. Did the sketch turn out perfectly and better than I imagined and now I worry if I colour it and it somehow ruins it I'll regret it sorely for the next two months? Also yes. Classic traditional artist ultimatum.
i keep seeing misinformation about this, so: queerplatonic relationships do not have a set definition. the name comes from the idea that it's "queering" the platonic relationship, tailoring it to the individual relationships' own desires. it isn't necessarily romance lite, but it also isn't necessarily whatever definition you want to impose on it. the point of queering the platonic relationship is to break away from strict allonormative views on friendship, romance, and sex, not to make a new categorical box to fit in.
the answer to "what is a qpr?" is "whatever you want it to be." sometimes that is romance lite. sometimes it's a deeply committed friendship. sometimes it's friends who have a sexual relationship. sometimes it's based on an entirely different mode of attraction. sometimes it's fluid and impossible to put into words. it's whatever you want it to be. it's queer.
Actually one thing I love about Tim Drake is that in comics he cameos in, he's like the fixer?? Like, people just go to him with problems and expect him to talk them through it/help them and he just does??? He's always doing some little job for someone, digging into people's pasts or offering moral support and I love that??? He's so competent, how could I not love him??
